But for about 2-3 weeks, I've start loosing https connection.
ex: https: / / www[ddotfacebook[dot]com was the first one that I got lost...
After that, was my bank web site; next paypal site tell me that the [certificate] as out of date...
And a couple of other... last thing is android help site/group site no more access.
I've already check the hosts file, nothing in but the usual localhost.
The weird thing is it was gradualy loosing https site/connection...
Even check my router but no filtering enabled...
I cango on those site on my lan and my wireless computer, iphone via wifi, and others too...
What else you should suggest before resetting the whole tab?

To be specific, is just tne HTTPS secured connection that don't work... but not all.
Here I quote what I get from facebook after trying to log-in (btw: the facebook apps don't work too)

Same thing with my bank.
Most of the time I use dolphin browser, but with the built-in browser and ninesky browser, I got the same result too...

iam from a country that google does not support the market within
i installed the vpn and all works great market, apps every thing,
but 3days later
the market wont open looks like the ip address from us has been blocked(INTERNET sharing device located in us) and i was unable to open market again any way that i can change the ip or how often the company changes the ip address ,

Go to AirVPN.com and create an account then you can create config files to their servers... I've done that as well... Try it...

updated to latest stock 2.3.5 and rooted
am trying to access the company website which pop up a window to enter credentials and needs java to be enabled, the stock webkit blocks it so i receive "unauthorized to view this page"
tried all the browsers, Miren,dolphin, oepera, skyfire, boat browser, ninesky all of them give the same error, even tho the block popup options is UNCHECKED and Enable Java is checked,
tried firefox it displays the login page then after the credentials it gives me a white page that doesnt load
i own an hp touchpad with cyanogen mod alpha 3.5 and i am able to open the same site via dolphin hd , i replicated the settings from the tab to the galaxy but no go i need help cuz i need to access this site on the go
forgot to mention, the page is working perfectly on iphone, ipad and all honeycomb tablets and my hptouch pad running cyanogenmod/webos
most of my friends have galaxy s2,s plus, ace and none can open the page

Try xScope browser in the market. I had a similar issue and what I was trying to run did not work until I tried it.
before you install 20 different browsers: i also had a similar problem with our company's login page, so i just bookmarked the URL of the popup (you will find out the URL with any desktop browser) and access that URL directly, problem gone...

you could use other apps similar to this. im sure there are hundreds of them. even you've installed this, still, your country will be recognized.
how to proxy.
open browser.
go to google
type in 'socks 5 proxy <country here>'
assuming you're using windows, go to the options/settings bit for your browser, find the bit that references proxy, or 'internet settings/properties'
click on 'lan settings'
where it says 'proxy server'
check the box 'use a proxy server for your LAN'
ip goes in the first box, port goes in the second.
most sites will seperate the two when displaying proxies as you hunt for them
if they don't, it'll bein the format iport, eg 173.24.57.158:3450
sorry it took a while to reply, had forgotten about the thread.
but as long as the proxy you're using is located in a country that isn't blocked on the market, you should then be able to download apks via your browser to install manually, without having to resort to filehosting downloads.
make google as your friend; and google will do the rest for you....

I hope that somebody knows what the solution for the problem is.

I can only suggest as I am not able to test an OpenVPN connection:
Have you tried OpenVPN Installer and OpenVPN Settings apps (both from Friedrich Schäuffelhut) from the Market?
Maybe that apps can help you to install and configure your OpenVPN connection correctly.

thanks for the advice, but those are the programs I am currently using. I installed it with the openvpn installer. And to connect I have to use the settings app.
After I am connected I can browse the internet. But still can't use any apps like mentioned above..
Not getting an idea what the problem could be. Those apps somehow don't get the permission to use the internet or something..

Try using CatLog from the market. After installation run your E-Mail client and check for new mail (that does not work as you said). Look at the saved log file from CatLog to get some more information about what's wrong.
Although you say browsing works it might be a problem with the default route or a DNS problem. If you are not used to the console you can install LanDroid from the market. It will allow you to ping and trace route any host. This again might give you (and us ) more information about what is going wrong.

hey there thanks for this very informative post! I tried to download catlog, but the market says it is incompatible with my device... I downloaded a similar app. Didn't have much time to test it, but what I could read out of it in brief amount of time was, that while connecting to facebook there is a kind of xmpp error or something and mostly timeouts. There must be a kind of blockage somewhere... I'll try it again tomorrow and give your further information. I'll try out the other app, which you recommended too and let you know!

i looked at various android web servers. but does they really work without enabling wifi ?
looked at kws,paw server and servdroid. but look like they need wifi on for some point of time. after some time if we disabled it , it will work onwards. something i am missing here. as i only need to run web pages on that device only with localhost:8080/projectname.
we can also access html files by file:// url but needed web server for specific points.
update: this is my first post and know that this is not right forum section. could any moderator please move it to appropriate section as i don't have the permissions to do so.
