what thread/post are you looking man?
in post#141 which valetto linked to there is no rapidshare link. Only one rapid share link is in that thread, in first post, and that's for Neo, which again, works fine.
For Neo V, there is no rapidshare links..
This below means what?
ROOT for LOCKED bootloaders
1)Flash 4.0.4(4.1.B.0.431) ICS and boot phone (links are in post#1)
2)Flash kernel from 4.0.3(4.1.A.0.562) ICS and boot phone. Flash only kernel, don't wipe anything!
i got the first link to 4.0.4
now i have to find the link to 4.0.3 also?
have you checked links in that post#141?
im alrady running on the 4.0.4 - 4.1.8.0.431
i dont understand if i must get the 4.0.3 version and flash that too?

Are you joking? It's the same way as in my thread, lol
To be more precise, they wrote that tutorial, AFTER we at XDA figured how to root it on locked bl..
As I can see, they even use our ftf links
Sorry

Start from general section.
Me 2
hello..
Hello fnd.. Am also using SE Xperia neo V 2....Am also upgraded frm GB to ICS 4.0.4. but i can't root my phone yet 2day... If u got any choice to root ur phone pls post me... If i got any ans to root my phone den i'll post on ur thread..
Here is the solution
First go here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26798415&postcount=141
Download MT11i .562 and .431 kernel
Then Install Flashtool (Search in the neo development section )
After installation of flashtool Go to the directory where u installed flashtool (in my case its ( C:/ Flashtool)
There u will find a folder called firmwares .(Delete any file if it is in that folder )
Copy .562 kernel.ftf to ur firmware folder
Open Flashtool (Run as adminstrator if required )
There u will find a Flash icon .click on it .
Two modes will be there Flashmode and Fastboot
Select Flashmode
Power off your device
Press and hold the back button and insert the USB cable ( Instruction screen will appear)
Check the log on flashtool
it will say 0 bad block encountered
Finished Flashing
Then Disconnect your device
Reboot ur device
Then use doomlords rooting method to root ur phone
once rooted it will show superuser app in ur app menu
To get back to .431 kernel do the same steps as u did to install .562 kernel
remember to clear ur firmware folder after flashing a ftf
Thanks for the help mate.
Thank you Abhiheart. I followed these steps and was able to root.
As you said my kernal will be moved to .562

But still I am able to see the Build number in my settings as 4.1.B.0.431 only.
I am able to see the SuperUser app and also can provide root access to other apps which asks for. But still I don't know that my bootloader is unlocked or still locked? And how can check that? as trackid app is still working.
I have installed x-Parts recovery and took a backup using that.
What need else need to be done for trying different stock ROMs or custom ROMs?
Thanks a ton,
DevRocks

On stock rom open dial pad and type *#*#service#*#*
Scroll through the service menu and find your network rooting status.
you will find something like bootloader unlock allowed: yes
Rooting your phone will not unlock you bootloader. It only gives you super user access.
Unlocking bootloader is a totally different step to do.
Kernel from build .562 is an older kernel compared to .431. At .562 we are still able to use an exploit to root the phone. At .431 Sony closed that possibility. That's why you have to flash the 562 kernel first. Than you can flash back the 431 and root will still remain.
Gesendet von meinem MT11i mit Tapatalk 2
Is still my neo v bootloader is locked?
Thanks for this info.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if bootloader unlocked allowed: yes then it means bootloader can be unlocked it does'nt mean it is already unlocked.

When it says bootloader unlock allowed: yes, it means
1. you can unlock your bootloader but it doesn' t mean that it is unlocked already. With unlock allowed no you cant unlock your bootloader
2. it depends on the way you unlock your bootloader.
my previous phone was a live with walkman which i unlocked via official sony method. the status changed to bootloader unlocked yes.
I unlocked my current phone mt11i via test point. It still say unlock allowed: yes. So now changed compared to bootloader locked status.
But it is unlocked because i can flash custom kernels.
The best way to check your bootloader is trying to flash a custom kernel.
If you succeded your bootloader is unlocked.
Dont forget to check that flash tool, phone drivers and adb drivers a installed properly. You need them to flash the kernel succesfully.
I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to take the latest ota zip for the Xperia S, decrypt it, edit the version, repack it, then be able to flash it. Right now it will not let me flash over the current version r5 because it is the same version. I am stuck on the blue wave animation perpetually after screwing up my services.jar. I have no adb access and my only hope is to flash in recovery or wait until the next update comes out...
I was told by a Sony tech yesterday the Jelly Bean update for the Xperia S will not be until January...
EDIT: There is a way to fool the recovery. Does anyone have a modified r5 ota for the Xperia edited for a higher incremented version they could share?

If it is the same as Sony Tab S then you would need to disable the signature check to flash a modded update. To add to the bad news, that is no longer able to work with new recovery (that came with r5, for older tab anyway)
Any chance you can take it in under warrantly?? They may not be able to tell that you messed with it

Thanks for the response. Yeah I guess I am going to have to send it in or .. the other option is to wait for another update, but not knowing when that will be sucks. The Sony tech told me yesterday (when I called to find out my options..and I can send it in) that the Jelly Bean update is coming in January..So the question is will Sony have another update to ICS before then. Perhaps..

stifilz is there really no other way we can revert back to the old Recovery? I mean like finding someone who is still on HC 3.2? and asking him to prepare the needed stuffs like the decrypt one? sorry but im really desperate on fixing the issue my tab is experiencing. and can we still hope for an updated AIO tool that might even work with the latest recovery mode?

I have tried to flash 11000 (3.2), 0035(3.2.1), 0042(3.2.1R2), ICS, R1A and NONE of these change the recovery back, i also tied NZ and US files, I was lucky enough to locate US files and had the NZ files saved to my PC. I have looked into AIO tool and read through the code, it runs a certain command in adb shell in recovery (WHICH WE NO LONGER HAVE GRR) so it can not be done ATM.
Maybe there is some file we can change on the tab to enable shell in adb again. From memory shell does not work with non-root devices and when we root we can use adb shell. (Can someone verify this, bad memory lol)
Anyway there could be something I am missing, well hoping anyway
You know you can change the incremental in vendor/vendor.prop to a lower one to flash an OLDER OTA.... Right??

From AIO you can decrypt and flash anything lol. Except if you have the r5 recovery it wont work at all

btw stifilz, can you share to me your edited bin4ry's script? the one with the re-signed vpnfaker? it tried signing it but it still doesnt work saying something about the vpnfaker. I think there was something wrong with the way i signed it. it might work if i try to use the one you made.

Ok doubt it will work but it is attached. I have zipped it up to add as attachment.
Please unzip it and then replace the file (of same name) in the 'stuff' directory of bin4ry's tool.
Good luck once again

Hello! There is a simple method to root the Fujitsu Arrow F02E. I also own one and rooted OK!
- First, install its ADB USB Driver here: http://spf.fmworld.net/oss/driver/f-02e/data/download.html
If youre using windows8, it may block installing unsigned driver, then just restart with troubleshooting option and "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement". You'll be able to install the driver normally
- Download this: http://www.mediafire.com/download/3o5bdwl64lz6r66
It may contain Japanese characters in file name, you should rename it to something easier to understand. Unzip it, then plug in your F02E, run the file "runme.bat". If you install ADB driver correctly, runme.bat will find your device and starts to root it. All you have to do is press any key when it requires. (about 2 times) Goodluck! :good:
Thanks mate, I really appreciate your effort. It works and I have done on my handset. I also like to ask if anyone install custom ROM on Fujitsu Arrows X F-02E?:good:

Stock and CWM Recovery
My brother got this phone, I don't have the phone. So I cannot try anything with it.
I downloaded I9060XXUANA3 Firmware from samsung-updates.com.
It contained stock recovery.img
I used the online CWM builder - builder.clockworkmod.com
I'm attaching the CWM built with the help of CWM builder
I guess you need appropriate odin to flash it.
Tell me if it works. I don't have the phone
for New users:
Read about ODIN, download mode, flashing, no reboot to avoid flash to stock, etc by using search.
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR BRICKS OR ANY OTHER DAMAGE
Attaching Stock Recovery just in case
Information about ODIN
Thank you very much for your help today took I9060XXUANA2 do you think there will be a problem?
GREETINGS.

I don't have the phone anymore. It's with my brother in another city.
Can you get the stock recovery.img for the phone?
If you can, just use the builder tool mentioned above.

At Saturday I will try compile an flush own pre-rooted rom. The other possible way is change the premission of /system/bin and put there SU binaries and busybox. And also change /system/app and there put SuperSu or Superuser app. All this thing I need to do in Linux Ubuntu. I think the root is realy close and the all challange lies in modyfie that two folders.
just flash this prerooted Rom and enjoy root benifits

Since there is no newer fw version than .587, at least I believe so, if you use update service, it will reinstal/repair your rom, meaning you will get clean rom, meaning you will lose root.
To get root again, use whatever you used this time. Since I didn't use eroot, I can only advise you to use what I already advised above.
Dont use Update service from sony as it will fix your phone and remove root access...
As our friend said, You better download .587 ftf and flash it using flashtool and then only flash the kernal of .562 ftf.
After that use doomlord's tool and after you get root access flash .587's kernal again..
There are no new fw updates after that and moreover .587's baseband is good for battery in comparison to other firmwares.

Also dont run the doomlord's tool as administrator on windows because i once encountered same problem like yours due to doing so.
hope you got the solution to your problem

i have use update service to install the rom and kernel again and got the root excess again and then i install cwm using cwminstall.cmd
and it did not show any error but to install cwm does it require unlocked bootloader to install cwm.

Just to clear up something. In both ways, full flash removes root, so it doesn't matter if he use update service or flashtool, meaning no advance in flashtool over updateservice.
