http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23368906&postcount=58
How can i downgrade my firmware so it works?
Thanks
Download .ftf with lower firmware version and flash it with flashtool.
Edit: And was there really necessary to make 2 threads for same matter?

Hi everyone,
I have a X10 since september, but I'm kind of a noob with all this X10-modding thing. Please move my topic if it's not in the right place. I have a couple of questions, and sometimes you're gonna think that I'm an idiot, but I prefer to be sure of what I have to do exactly before I do anything.
So my X10 is branded with a Orange France rom, which is still in firmware 2.0.A.0.504 (baseband 2.0.46). I don't have multitouch at all and it's laggy.
First, I read this topic about backing up my current rom (in case I have a problem and/or I have to send it to repair). I have downloaded Bin4ry's flash tool and seen that I can use it to extract .sin files from FILE_XXXXXXX files. Is this method still ok ? The link to the jerpelea SIN Reconstructor is dead, so is it possible to reconstruct the ftf file with Bin4ry's flash tool ? If yes, what files do I have to put in the bundle (I don't obtain the same files as in the tutorial) ? And when I get the ftf file, in order to get my phone back to its original firmware, do I simply have to add the ftf file in the firmware folder and then flash ?
I also have another set of questions ^^. For example, if I root my X10, then I modify the build.prop file (as described in this topic) to match a generic code, and then repair my phone through PC Companion / SEUS, will I get a generic rom ? And if I want to switch back to my original firmware, is putting back the original code and updating enough ?
About basebands now : if I download a rom, is the baseband file already included or do I have to include its .ftf file too ? How exactly does this work ? (I have read a lot of people saying that it's important to have a baseband matching your rom, but I didn't get how to actually do it ). I assume that SEUS / PC Companion do the baseband update automatically ?
I have read quite a lot of tutorials, not always understanding every step. Thanks a lot to those who will answer my noob questions...
Read this thread and ALL of Flashtool howto guide. The files for getting the latest baseband are in there along with the the howto guide. The howto is by Rendeiro2005. Read that.
That will help you get the download the latest baseband and use flashtool to flash it to your phone. Keep posting with questions if your still stumped after looking at it. Good luck.
Here is the link to flashtool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
I use the .54 baseband.
Thanks for your answer Voelker45.
I have read the flashtool tutorial (the how-to for n00bs, lol), but it's still unclear wether I need to use a separate .ftf file for the baseband or not.
What about backing up my current rom and changing the code in build.prop ?
Thanks

Don't separate the ftf file and don't change the code for the build.prop. I never heard of changing that code so never changed it. Just use the ftf file as is and you should be good to go for flashing. Put the ftf file in the firmwares folder of flashtool and the steps of the guide SHOULD help you from there. Keep posting if you have questions.
Backing up won't help you till you have xrecovery. which I can help you with when you finish with flashtool and then rooting the phone. Flashtool is going to get rid of all data on phone when you flash the latest baseband.
Thank you . I am not going to do this now (I'm a student and I have an exam next week), but probably in one or two weeks. I'll keep you posted when I proceed !
So there is no build.prop method ? Then how can you restore your original branded rom ? =S
I dont know anything about that build thing. So i wouldnt do anything with it till someone else tells u. The backup will have to wait. Well good luck on exams
Sent from XDA Premium from my X10a rooted running 2.2.1 CM Rom from Rendeiro2005
Thanks ! I'm gonna wait anyway. I'll post here when I do something.
I want to x10 mini flash firmware
You can make your own
Follow this guide, if you can't find the files read the comment section for solutions.
I've posted this before but I didn't really get the response I need so am trying again but just clarifying what I'm asking for.
Stock KERNEL for SGs2 ICS. This is the KERNEL not the ROM. Please don't post a link to stock firmware
I've tried here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1075278
but no links work (it always says no longer available or copywrite infringement)
Thanks
1) You absolutely did not need to make a new thread. That's called spamming the board. That's a cardinal sin on here. Mods will be closing this soon.
2) Before they do, you haven't specified what kernel you need (Don't tho, it doesn't really matter). So what I'm going to do is give you a link to a site you can get entire roms from, and you can extract the kernel (zImage) you need from the rom yourself. Try here or Samfirmware.com.
Sorry and thanks

Hello,
lately I updated my SE xperia neo from android 2.3.4 via "update service" program and now I have now something like that:
Model: MT15i
Version of Android system: 4.0.4
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-perf [email protected] #1
Compilation: 4.1.B.0.431
and here my problems just appearing. Tried to follow this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678690

but I do not see .ftf file to my phone. Idk also what to do to check if my bootloader is locked or unlocked (guess that after official flash process it's locked - but not sure). Googled over few days and I can't find anything simple to root my device.
Thank you
You even found a thread and you followed it, and you still create new thread for your question instead of asking in the thread you follow. I don't understand that.
Anw, all you need is in that thread. ftf, instructions, kernel for root process, it's all there.. just read first post.
p.s. if you updated via update service and you never unlocked your BL(by using test point), then it's locked.
p.p.s. this kind of questions should go to Q&A section.
The problem is that, I can't find .ftf file to mt15i.

Please do not open a new thread for your own questions. Most of the answers are already posted just use the search function to find the. If necessary please post your question in an EXISTING THREAD with same topic. Dispersed information helps nobody. Thanks!
Guys , i flashd the recovery wich was posted in the thread,
but it does not work for me
m not able to boot into recovery w/o using any tool,
so if i am getting bootloop i hav to reflash the firmware..
plz help with some solution..
Ok, and now we should get our crystal ball and look on what thread and on what tool you think, right?
Good that you also posted in that thread, so it's easy to find it.
Always ask in original thread (if possible), and if you still need to create new thread, make sure to say what you used and from where.
Moved thread. Questions belong in the Q&A thread.
OP, You will always get quicker and better help if you:
1) Post in the correct section.
2) Give as many details as you can. What thread were you using? What tools? What firmware is your phone? Details like these can help people assist you more accurately.
Thanks.
