THIS SHOULD BE IN THE Q&A SECTION!!!!!!!!!!!
u basically flashed a stock vibrant kernel in recovery correct? either the kernel u flashed was a 2.1 kernel or just a stock vibrant froyo kernel. if u still have access to recovery, reflash the voodoo kernel u have on ur sd card and it will boot up. if not u gonna have to use odin. check the rom bible at the top of this thread if u have to do that.

The huge search button on top of every single page is there for a reason. Use it.
And did you disable Voodoo before flashing anything? If you don't, search it on how to resolve that.
READ and search more please.
hello sir now i have install sdk and odin on my pc,,,,,,,what shoult i do now to flash my samsung vibrant ,, my phone shows totaly black screen.........how to solve plz help
Download Shipping Rom (look for it) with Pit file.
Select Repartition, load pit and tar files in odin.
Put phone in download mode, conect to USB and reflash
Good luck, and next time, before messing with your phone, you need to disable ANY lagfix

Search around. But there's a link in my signature on how to do it.
It amazes me at how many people tell this guys to search. Use the search button, google it. The guy clearly is looking for help and some quick answers. If you guys have the damn links then just give it him so he can try to fix his phone. This **** can get so annoying.

Try flashing N.E.A.K. or another kernel tar package in ODIN while you have your phone in download mode.
That should fix your CWM recovery.

ok step by step, i had checkrom on my phone and flashed the new criskelo rom on my phone 4.0.3 LPQ for testing it, and flashed it with cf root 5.4
but after testing i wanted to get back to checkrom and now i have this problem that i can't flash any other kernel! only CF-Root is working , with any other kernel i em ending at the "Triangle"..phone is not booting any more
Really, ICS and GB is going crazy. Flash stock, kernel, flash cf root kernel, then flash newest kernel to fix sd card issue, etc... Since ICS was updated on sgs2 everywhere just problem, not booting, not installing, etc. Really, really big pain.
I dunno man what could solve you problem. I'm gonna search in all threads to find some useful information, if I will, I will post here, should be somewhere answer. LOL, best of luck.

hi,
same problem, but came from Samsung sim-free ICS upgrade (via kies). Then Rooted with CF-Root via Odin. just finished my nandroid and getting all set to download it to my laptop and, arg, can't mount USB drive.
'E:Unable to open ums lunfile (no such file or directory)'
I want to flash Resurrection Remix AOKP which includes siyah kernel, so if I just go ahead and flash the zip, it might give me a chance of fixing this?
or else endup in an endless boot.....
thanks

Any more details?
Such as exact phone model (GT-I9100/T/M/...), firmware version (ROM/PDA/kernel), what rooting method have you used, etc.
If you can boot into download mode (Volume Down + Home + Power), then you can flash another kernel (such as CF-Root) with Odin to your phone.
Good luck !
GT-I9100 thats the only thing i know. i cant even open the phone only (Volume Down + Home + Power) is working i tried that but is not working. i used kernel method i tried almost ever thing but nothing works. im from asia

That happened to me. Make sure you do the volume down+ home+ power right to enter the download mode, then flash the CF or Siyah kernel with Odin v1.7 (not v1.85).
See if it boots from there. You may need to flash some firmware (PDA) with Odin once you see it boots.
Good luck
Thanks man its working now
help me please, frozen sgs2 after rooting

Let's go slow.
You managed to flash something via ODIN? Or it failed?
Since you rooted it (same as first guy), I guess it flashed so Odin detects the phone and is able to flash, right?
Explain the exact problem. What are you trying to flash?
Try downloading Siyah kernel for Odin, or Dream kernel for Odin to flash it and make it boot. If not, download an official firmware and try.
Anyway, reply the 2 bold questions.

Ok, if it flashes, it's good.
If you have a i9100 (not a i9100G or whatever), flash this http://buildenv.dream-irc.com/android/?nav=display&file=63 via Odin and boot.

May I ask what did you do to root before it froze?
It's weird, but at least it flashes, so you still can flash an stock firmware to get back your phone.
Maybe this one (4.0.3 so you stay away from emmc harrd-brick bug and don't blame me in case it bricked) http://www.hotfile.com/dl/161662205/363dea0/I9100UHLPS_I9100AROLP4_ARO.zip.html
Good luck
what else can i do?
By the way, now that you have Dream kernel, try booting in recovery (turn it off, then volume up + home + power hold until it gets on, then release power until you get to recovery)

You didn't mess up with a i9100 ROM instead of i9100G ROM or kernel for rooting, did you?
When did it freeze. After rooting (you made sure it booted afterwards?) or after Jelly Bean installation?

If you don't have a custom rom in your sdcard, then maybe you can push it with adb? Or you can always flash back to stock with odin.

Use the AOKP rom which is ICS and has the kernel in it already. I installed it on my galaxy tab 10.1 p7510 and it works fine. Since I'm a "new" user I can't post the link but just google AOKP and you'll see their site, look for Milestone 6, thats the rom you want.

This is caused by the kernel I believe. Try clearing all the caches in clockwork recovery mod and see if that fixes it (delvik and so on). By the way, clearing those caches will make it take longer than usual to start up so you should leave it alone for at least 15-20 min to be safe. If after that much time has pass and it still hasn't booted up completely, I'd consider flashing a different rom on it. The AOKP rom has the overclock kernel in it and is stable without those lines that appear after you turn the screen off and back on after a fresh OS install. Use Odin to flash the new rom if you cannot access the SD card.
tq guys, the problem already resolve
i pushed rom file using adb and install it with cwm

I think you should fully flash a firmware, don't forget to backup and wipe caches/dalvik cache. You could do it manually with the download mode thing and odin via PC just to make sure
