APN Settings and MMS - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

I live in an edge internet area. No 3g and no 4g.
MY moms gs2 is having a problem sending and receiving pictures. Can someone please post the apn settings for me. I don't need hspa speed and I can't seem to find the other ones. I think I need the original cingular 410 settings but I'm not sure. I keep reading if I reset to default I'll have to rebuild the apns, so I might as well know what they are supposed to be.
Thanks!

First of all search the forums a quick search of "apn " will show at least 2

These are the ones we are already using. Maybe that's not the problem. Is it because of the edge connection that sometimes the pictures won't download? She has had one sent that just keeps sending and one received that just keeps downloading. We've tried clearing cache, ending the messaging app, everything and they just won't go. This happens all the time. Do you have any suggestions ?

Yes its because your on Edge. It is very slow, at times un usable for me. altough sometimes it will be functional, but thats just me and signal strength depends on nothing but location.
Suggestion.....get a tower in your yard, move.
Sorry man.

A search for APN in this forum would have brought up all the APN configurations.

Really? I got it to work without those, but Ill try
thanks dude!
Np i contacted Tier 3 Tmobile support they recommend putting them in. Thats because i am Data roaming. Not sure about you.
bnarvaez: in your proxy/port is 'BLANK' means that you don't have anything in it also right?
I've tried everywhich combination and it still doesn't seem to work...!
Yes dont put anything in there. for your area may be different. Contact tmobile and asked to speak with Tier 3 for "Unsupported Phones" and confirm with them Some areas maybe different.
Man, T-mobile has some good support, AT&T will not have anything to deal with Unsupported Phones. They even wanted to read me a list of 15 things about the hazards of phones that are not AT&T branded.

Did you hit the menu button then go to new?

whoops, I did not notice that button there, this is my first android device, I came from an Apple Iphone 4, also AT&T switched me off the iphone 4 plan to a regular smart phone plan, will the medianet plan be slower then 3G?

I entered the info and hit save, but then what do I do after? I hit the home button and then went back into APN and its blank. I have it set to GSM only.

Try it again. I think when it doesn't save it you input something wrong. Why GSM only? I left mine as wcdma/gsm

If you still can't get it let me know and I will upload an apn backup from apn back & restore app.

Thanks thatll be helpful if you could, I hit the back button and it does nothing, so I have to hit home, but when i go back in its blank. my email is [email protected]

sscratch that, I got it to save and now it appears in the APN profile, it didnt work because I had it on GSM only
3G still not showing up however,
Here you go. Download this and extract it. Get apn backup & restore from Google Play then restore the extracted file.

the app does not let me restore because i have 4.0+ after you inputted the APN and saved it, what is the next step to get 3G to work?
You mean you flashed ICS?
Once I created the APNs the phone apn was selected then I just backed out of the settings screen and it connected to AT&T and I was off and running. Did you create both those APNs I listed?
yea i created both of it. that app you told me to download gave me an error message when i tried to hit the restore APN button.
After hit save. Reboot the phone and it will be there
woo hoo finally got it to work!

No it's not the LTE apn. That is the regular HSPA+ apn that I have been using on my Xperia S for several months.

When you use HSPA+ on Xperia S, do you use $15 unlimited data for non-smartphones or $20 300MB/$30 3GB data for smartphones?
I have Xperia ray and I'm using $15 unlimited data for non-smartphones since it's not an AT&T phone so AT&T didn't find out.
Thanks

No data network. Is my kernel bad? Did I get a bad flash?

as of late and now all the time, I am not getting any data on my phone. I have tried various ROMS, wiping the phone carefully between ROMS to see if that might be the issue but to no avail.
I don't see any 3G/4G/LTE inidication here. I know that I am in a poor area byt my parents' iPhones both have data.
Could my phone's radio have gone bad? Could a rom have flashed a bad radio?
Any possible fixes to try?
Thanks in advance.

APN settings
I have the same trouble. Tried the stock AT&T rom and now with BlackStar X. Same result. If it's APN settings, what should I modify? Where do I get the default settings needed? Also, when roaming, do these settings nedd to be modified? I'm with Kodoo, owned by Telus. Do I have to input it for a new carrier while roaming? Surelly not...

Strange. I've checked the APN settings from Koodo, they are the same as Telus. Same IP address. But, the APN name change. I've done it just to be sure and...it worked!! sp.koodo.com instead of sp.telus.com get me back my LTE signal. I'm happy now. But I'm still concern about roaming. What will happen when I'll leave this zone and get, lets say, on a Rogers tower?

MMS Not Working? Tried APN Settings

Hey Guys,
I just rooted my HTC One yesterday and everything is working great except one thing, I can't get MMS to work no matter what I do. I've tried the following APN settings, and I can't get it to work for the life of me.
Name: ATT Phone
APN: phone
MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410

MMS Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS Port: 80

Any ideas? I don't have much installed in terms of root apps. I got a new kernel and greenify. That's really it though. Any help would be beyond appreciated!
Thanks!
