hi i updated to the latest firmware earlier and since then the copy paste function crashes in any app, anyone else have this.
What firmware version are you running? I have no updates pending and I'm also not having any copy/paste issues.
What version and with which network?
Also are you rooting or running a custom rom?

Hi im not rooted, it was bought from carphone warehouse and is sim unlocked, running I9300xxalf2
Download Odin and the latest firmware, flash it and see if it fixes your problem.
Thanks. Ill try a factory reset first

Did this resolve the problem?
Did a factory reset work?
I'm also having issues with cut/copy/paste. It just force closes the app, no matter what app I use it in.
Running stock XXALE8 on O2 in UK, rooted with CF-Root v6.2.
Edit: Factory reset cured it for me too. Hopefully it stays fixed!
Hi yes it cured it for me
Hi everyone,
I also had this problem, I found a solution without do a factory reset.
The app in question is TestService.
First you have to clean the directory /data/clipboard, delete everything in it with root explorer. After that, go to manage applications and find the app TestService, uninstall the updates.
After a reboot, copy/paste should work again.
What does uninstall the updates means? Clear data or uninstall? How do you install it back?
Hi
I have the same problem.
Stock version no root I9300XXLF2
any other solution without do a factory reset?
I'm not root.
Thanks

Brilliant!!! Worked like a charm!!!
Anyone know a way of fixing this without factory resetting when you're not rooted?
Really annoying!! I've already flashed the latest O2 firmware and the latest unbranded firmware, and both had the same problem.
Thanks.
Just noticed this happen myself because I updated the App called Clipper that I use but forgot to start it and I copied some text and wasn't saved in the clipboard, but because Clipper replaces the clipboard I would have never noticed.

I just installed Clipper and it didn't fix it, so I don't think it replaces the clipboard, just integrates with it.

Hello,
Got the 'apps stuck on installing' problem with the Market on new 2.1 firmware. I've read in other posts that it's possible to fix this by clearing the Market cache and data. However, on the X10 it's only possible to clear the Market cache and this doesn't seem to fix it.
Anyone found another way to fix (because I stupidly uninstalled the 'stuck' apps from the Apps Management settings menu and now I can't reinstall them )?
Generally enjoying 2.1, though (Angry Birds! )
Thanks!
I had this happen last week with a number of apps (all stuck at "Installing") at once. There was no option to cancel, and rebooting didn't help. Eventually, I just re-flashed my firmware (and added JIT to boot).
Knock on wood... so far so good.
errase all data of google, restart. click on market put ur data , must be fix it. thats wut i did

I tried deleting the Google account from within 'Settings->Accounts & Sync' but the X10 told me that other apps were using this account and the only way to remove it was to factory reset the phone. How did you erase all your Google data?

I was really hoping not to have to do that - it's taken a while to get the X10 running something like I want it after the 2.1 update
Download the apk from somewhere else of the thing you installed thats stuck and install it. That restarted the one I accidentally uninstalled while updating it
In my case fixed with reflashing, nothing else was helpful

Have you rooted your X10? If so, make sure ou install and use Titanium Backup. If you keep your backups up-to-date, re-flashing is a minor inconvenience as you can restore (almost) everything to the way it was.
No, I've not rooted it. Generally I just use the phone and apps and don't try to do anything too techy with it. Is it still worth rooting (apart from to use Titanium Backup?)
hi there,
I am from Germany and since yesterday i am not able anymore to download any free app except the google ones.
That means, that i can download, google earth, google translator and so on but as soon as I try to download any other app i get this message in german: "Ihr Konto kann momentan nicht bestÃĪtigt werden. Bitte versuchen Sie es in einigen Minuten wieder." in english it should be: "At the moment we can not confirm your account. Please try again in a few minutes"
Does anybody else have the some problem? I am on android since the beginning and I have never had such a message? I already cleared the cache and the data of both google playstore and the download manager. I can use and receive my googlemails and I can also use and talk over google talk.
any help?
Yes, don't worry, I am pretty sure it is a Google problem. I had that problem yesterday and thought I had resolved the issue as after some messing around with CSCs and defrosting certain apps I had frozen, I was able to download again...
But this morning, the problem is back.
I suggest you just sit tight and wait for Google to sort the issue out

ok, but it is strange that this problem does not occur on the google apps
The problem is actually a little bit different from the one you have described... for me at least.
I am able to install any app (Google or otherwise) that I have previously installed on any previous device. The problem only occurs if I try and install an app which I have never installed before.
The problem like I said above corrected itself for a while yesterday evening, but it is back now. To test, I have:
1/ Factory reset on the new JB build - still problem
2/ Fully wiped and reflashed via ODIN - still problem
3/ Gone back to ICS - still problem
4/ Restored previous backup of ICS which I know to be perfectly ok - still problem
So, I am pretty convinced that the issue is with Google. I hope this helps put your mind at rest.

found the solution:
1. delete your google account
2. Clear Cache & Data of playstore in the app manager
3. uninstall last updates of playstore in app manager
4. activate/create your existing account again
5. Finish
that worked for me.

I have the same problem with my rooted HTC Evo 3D. Updates works fine
It works fine with my not rooted Samsung Galaxy 7 Plus N Tablet. Thats weird
hello!
i got an lg optimus 4x hd which has worked pretty fine along with the ICS 4.0.3.
A few days ago I noticed that suddenly, I were not longer able to install aps from "unknown sources". the box is checked in settings, but there is no way to install external software.
i can tell you which apps are running in background (because i ve read that intelliscreen-app has been reported to cause this error, too):
-settings
-k9-mail
-setcpu
-handcent sms
-taschenlampe
-temp+cpuv2
-business calendar
-lux
-dropbox
-mail
-greenpower premium
-software update (LG)
-google services
-wetter
-swift key 3
and none of them has changed in the last few days, i have deleted every single new app I had installed before.
does anyone know more?
yours, david
Are you rooted? Doing a fresh install with wipe of your ROM should fix it.

okay, i see. i used to do it, too, but in the past everytime I restored my saves from backup-application, it used to reinstall also the bad apps and program errors.
is there a way to do a soft reset, just factory reset without deleting anything important? would it help?

No, your better off if you don't even backup the apps. Doing a fresh install on everything is better.

I had v10e stock. Worked good.
Then rooted to 10a and updated with a cwm backup 10h.
And gps didnt work.... not that i use it alot but yeah sucks.... something i need it.
So cwm backups arent that great. Is cool but yeah. Costum roms are better. Still waiting for one.
Re: why gps doesnr work? just keep on searching..
Maybe the app you are using is the problem. Remove it, reboot then reinstall.
If this didn't solve it, do a reset. This will solve all your problems but before doubt this, user the stock backup app to backup your settings, sms and calls, home screen widgets, pre installed apps to sd card. but don't backup your downloaded apps.

Re: why gps doesnr work? just keep on searching..
So you are still using ics. Can you please extract the power control widget .apk from your rom? And send it to me? I lost it. Together with the .odex file.
If your can of course.
Off topic.

Thanks a lot friend, but it's not working, i don't know why.
/system/apps/bootup changed permissions and reboot = not working
/system/app = not working
thanks though
it must be some compatibility issue, after all, it's from ics to jb.
so for everyone reading this on JB, do you have this issue?

Hi there,
I'm running cyanogenmod 11 on my s3 and I'm having difficulty updating/installing whatsapp. I had whatsapp installed and was told I needed to update the app otherwise it'd stop working. I didn't update in time and sure enough it stopped working. I tried to update the app to continue using it but it said I had insufficient storage available. I've got plenty of storage space on both my SD (internal) and external cards and I've checked every partition and there's lots of space. The issue does not seem to relate to lack of space.
Since then I've tried everything to get it working, first uninstalling the app and reinstalling, deleting everything manually through root explorer, then wiping the cache and davik cache, odexing all my apps and then removing all the odex files through lucky patcher. Nothings worked. Unfortunately it doesn't let me use lucky patcher troubleshoot which I've heard works. Everytime I press on troubleshoot in lucky patcher it says I need to update busybox and install supersu, which I've done plenty of times to no avail.
Please can anyone help out. I'm fearing that I'm going to have to restore everything. If anyone knows how to get the troubleshoot in lucky patcher working or just fix my whatsapp issue all together that'd be great. Thanks!
Can anyone help with this?
Thanks.
