Best MinFreeManager Settings? - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

I have recently downloaded this app and it has made a huge difference in my phone's multitasking ability. I am currently using the "mild" settings without any real knowledge of what that means. Does any one know any "custom" profile i should try out? Are custom settings i read about for other phones appropriate for this phone?

Check the viperrom thread. I don't know them off the top of my head, but vin has some settings that are pretty damn good (speak from experience) baked into the Rom already.

I tried this too, but even with the numbers really low, Android still chooses to close programs on its own without asking. Is there a way to fix this if you're on Android Gingerbread?
Thanks.

no if your rooted then you should already have busy box installed. you do have to set script manager to use root though.
if you already have it then no, this is just how you get started. you can always go back in and change the settings if you dont like them.

UPDATE Reply
UPDATE! I think I might've finally got this figured out!
There's actually an option on the main options screen of "supercharger", and I added both XDA DEVELOPERS and Opera Mobile to that. I'm still testing it, but it seems to be working so far (although it has no effect once the device enters standby)! Could this finally be the solution we've been waiting for?

vB2.9.1 Odexed XRON-ified thinks my hp touchpad is a GT-i9100

I thought maybe my install was corrupted, so I tried 2 more times, and even ran ACMEUninstaller to redo the whole process...but it still thinks my touchpad is a GT-i9100.
what should I do?
I think it's meant to do that for app compatibility.
in that rom the developer probably edited the build.prop (found in system/app) to GT-I9100 so that a lot of apps are usable on your touchpad.
So in a way it should benefit you

As stated above it is done on purpose in order to allow more apps and games to work successfully from the market. Enjoy it, it's a great ROM with great developers that will only get better!
Since it's a device that wasn't initially built for Android, not many apps would install, much less run, on it if we said it was a TouchPad.... no apps were designed with that in mind and the Market definitely wasn't.
The build.prop was edited to reflect an android device that most programs will agree and download off the market. Since the Touchpad is a WebOS, it is not to be known as an Android device. You can edit the build.prop to any device, but the Samsung seems to be the better choice of all.

[MOD]HTCLinkifyDispatcher Fix

Running a Sense 3.6 or 4.0 ROM and tired of not having a choice what app to use?
Sick of Apple and their patent infringement lawsuits?
This script will revert the workaround HTC put in place to comply with the ITC's order to remove the patent infringement.
This script makes a backup of your current build.prop, and then EDITS IT IN PLACE.
What does this mean? It means you can flash THIS file on ANY ICS 3.6 or 4.0 ROM on this phone and it will not mess up any tweaks your specific ROM dev has put in place.
Why is this important? There are a number of build.props edited with this fix (and others)...some of them are from the stock ROM and some are from various other custom ROMs. Simply copying one over your current build.prop could lose you important optimizations, or custom fixes your dev has set up. By flashing this script you keep those customizations and still get the benefit of having your choices back.
Instructions:
To tell if this edit worked for you, check in settings. If the app associations menu option is gone, then it worked.
You will need to clear defaults for specific programs in order to have a choice pop up.
Example:
If you have selected Chrome for your default browser in app associations, you will need to go to menu/settings/apps/downloaded/Chrome/clear defaults.
The next time you tap a URL you will have a choice of which browser to use.
Credits:
Thanks to iconeo for the original thread found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1693809
Thanks to Steal25 for the actual build.prop edits.
I am including two zip files. The first one will make the build.prop change to allow you to choose your own defaults.
The second one (HTCLinkify-revert.zip) will allow you to put your build.prop back to its default.
There are other build.prop edits out there and I will be creating ROM agnostic flashable zips for those as well.
Please let me know if there are any issues with this flash.
Good idea on packaging it this way it'll make it easy for those that havent made edits to a build.prop yet.
very good!

Thanks. That was my whole point: I could see times where people would just copy over random build.prop that already had the tweak, over a ROM with a heavily edited build.prop and mess up everything their ROM Dev was trying to do...and then I thought of the poor devs trying to cope with figuring out random glitches due to build.prop changes and I thought...hey, let's make this easy for EVERYONE.
Now the users don't have to edit it themselves and the devs don't get stuck trying to figure random bugs out without knowing a user may have changed build.prop, or overwritten it.
Win for everyone.

Nope. This mod allows you to choose what app you want to launch when clicking on say a URL. This is the functionality that Apple claimed infringed one of their patents.
It doesn't have anything to do with 3rd party apps, aside from allowing you to decide which one you want to launch, either each time, or by default.

I'm still kind of confused, so was the patent on the "Complete action using" dialog box? I thought that was present in all Androids for years now, and I thought iOS didn't even give you an option.

Yep, that's what it was about. And whether android has been using it forever or not isn't the point. Apple dusted off their patent book and found that it was infringing.

Adding more apps to multi window

I've seen some hacks for a few of the other samsung phones that let you add other apps to the multi window view instead of just the built in apps. Just wondering if any one has found a way to do that on our mega 6.3 yet?
you need to be on deodexed rom, it will be easy to mod.
Ok, thank you. I'll wait for a deodexed stock rom to show up.
Still waiting for the ClockWorkMod recovery to work, then we'll be in business..
I kind of knew this coming into this phone as the dev community probably wouldn't be as large as the flag ship phones, but the phone has been really good so far with the exception of the headphone volume being very low.

Correct xposed allows you to install other things besides multi window mod. Also samsung has app called samsung multi pro or something similar to that. It will allow you to do the same but you have to pay for the app. I personally have no experience with it.

Yup, you are right. I tried that app when I first got the phone (after installing the root kernel) and it would keep giving me errors saying i wasn't rooted. I just tried the app again and it works perfectly. Thank you!
