Last night i installed a New rom.
Im talking about the last PIKACHU ROM.
Now Im playing with no lag and without Chainfire!!!!!
Try it ..it seems to be the solution ..why?? I do not know.

If you not use Chainfire, you play the "non-hd" version
I run it on CM9, and without Chainfire it doesn' t lag, but with Chainfire it lag

Yes, it is not hd, but if I use chainfire it has parts without buildings, instead of this appears red lines.

I installed a bad baseband in the pikachu ROM, now I have installed the last White Rabbit edition for DEFY! no DEFY+
I have the same result.
NO LAG, BUT NO HD.

Directly if you have the froyo kernel. If not, then you have to install the GB kernel.

I think Pikachu runs better because of Tweety's build.prop tweaks and init scripts.
About Chainfire -- I believe those drivers are outdated now, especially with CM9 -- nothing runs better with Chainfire on CM9, at least not anything I've tried. A good example is the Xperia CosmicFlow Live Wallpaper, without Chainfire it starts now (very crappy fps, but it does work now) -- enable Chainfire and it won't start at all. I've also noticed that Chainfire + HWUI = Crap -- Chainfire is still awesome on CM7, just not so much with 9.

Once I even forgotted to re-overclock to 1.2, I played one hour in 600MHz and it was working great yet ! Without Chainfire of course. This game seems not to be so performance-demanding than I was expecting so...

Can't find the hardware specs of that thing anywhere. Does the device have a GPU of any kind? Have you tried running the game without chainfire?

Its probably a Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 5.0 (or Player 5.0) - 1GHz CPU,512mb RAM,and I think it does not have any GPU accelerator.

N.O.V.A 3 works great on cm10, using v1.0.1

compatibility issue..
I downloaded the data and the game apk and installed it first on cm7 and then on cm10 but it says that "your device is not compatible please ask for a refund" what is wrong with my defy..why am I doing wrong..?

Download through WiFi, delete apk first and start over, this happened with dh3 for absolutely no reason, not that its any good if your build.prop has been changed that could also give issues :banghead:

[Q] Question: Chainfire 3D in new firmwares like XXKG6

Hi Guys,
Anyone here able to install Chainfire 3D Pro (paid) in XXKG6 firmware successfully, and was able to install drivers, and plugins (including shaders) successfully?
I encountered some problems upon installing plugins and shaders (fro GP Riptide). My phone sudddenly trapped in a bootloop.
Any ideas.

I've been using Chainfire3D since KF3. Went to KG3 and then KG6. I did not wipe in between updates and CF3D works fine on mine with no boot loops. Have you also updated to the latest version of CF3D on the market?
yes, I updated my chainfire from the market. i think the problem started when I install the shader for GP Riptide.....

Sorry for the totally noob question but would you know if the Pro version's per application setting automatically take into effect by just launching the game in the app drawer?

Yes it does. Once you set a per app setting for the game, it will automatically come into effect no matter where you launch it from, even from the launcher's homescreen.
running KG3 with nightly cm7, no probs here with chainfire 3d. All games running smoothly, including riptide

i'm using chainfire 3D pro paid, when i istall the driver
Riptide GP runs well but my webbrowser crashes everytime!
..without drivers browsing is fine but can't play Riptide GP
strange! :-(

wikitude? anybody get it too work?

I just downloaded wikitude.
Tried it out, looks cool for the whole 20 seconds it works - then it causes kernel panic (overclocked or not).
Anybody get this to work reliably on this phone?
I do not have 500H. Nevertheless, I would blame UnGAze data2sd for this.

Not really sure what you mean by that. The latest CM7/franco kernel is what I have in signature and it works perfectly fine.
Never had any problems with wikitude so far until I tested it in my current setup and I get panics too
Gonna try smoothass @480/768MHz and see what happens
also gonna drop the settings in wikitude to the lowest info (30 I think)

[Q] Real Racing 2 not working on ANY ICS roms?

Hello XDA.
I have done every possible thing, but I just can't make this game work on ICS. Is this a general problem or what?
If someone knows a fix, please post it here!
Some details: The game launches, shows me the yellow EA icon, takes me on to the opening cutscene, then loads and plays menu music, which has a slight lag in the beginning of it. Then nothing... After a while the phone kills the app, no error message.
Again ICS is not yet released you have a buggy beta test rom multiple problems .

Real racing 2 doesn't work on gingerbread, nevermind ICS.
Unless they have recently updated it, it crashes a few seconds into a race.
The work around was to not use cockpit view.... But this is the one I wanted to use.
The comments on the android market seemed to show similar problems from users with SGS2.

Agreed, I've had consistent FC's with Real Racing and that goes back to GB ROMs. You'd think EA would either update their software or take it off the Market. Bummer too, Real Racing is a kickass game in iOS. I'm on a i777.
I know this is in the galaxy s2 section, but it works perfectly on my HTC sensation, and I'm on ics now. So it's not the os at fault, but could it be to do with the tegra chip or some other hardware compatibility issue in your phones?

Have same problem after ICS update, tried to reach EA several times and no success. Also tried to refund on Google Plaay for the Real Racing 2 and no success..
So we have to wait an update, or a work around solution.
There is a new version floating around which works on ICS. Real Racing 2 v1.11.4.000540 HD. It is not available in the Google Market (play store) yet.

Compalitible with Galaxy S2 ?
Real Racing 2 is available free for the Galaxy S3 on the Samsung App Store. This Version did run on my GNEX as well. I had to sideload the 400 mb data file and turn wifi off. Otherwise a stupid alert would pop up.
Works on the S3 perfectly. Works on the GNEX with the workaround. I cannot comment on the S2 behaviour...
Bearing in mind that there IS a version running on ICS, we should see somthing on the Google Play Store as well...

Games compatible to SGSII

Seriously, I've been searching for 3 days now on why the hell Starfront: Collision won't run properly on my SGSII phone (4.0.4, 2.3 Resurrection ROM)
I get this:
These red lines also appear replacing my GUI in-game a fix is setting transparency to max but then even notifications stay with the red lines.
I also get blue flashing artifacts all over my screen when sending units to buildings.
Why is it so hard to find information about this? Its not only this game but also HAWX's planes are black or white at the selection screen and N.O.V.A crashing frequently. Some forums say that the games are Firmware, model, GPU dependent. Iv'e been on another forums claiming that Starfront: Collision isn't compatible with Mali GPU models... well how come i could play this game and N.O.V.A flawlessly 1 year ago when i first rooted my phone? and now i can't suddenly...
Can people please explain me or link me to explanations, fixes and even share sites to games compatible to the SGSII???

So in order to have them work properly i would need to leave it in stock?
What about MIUI or CyanogenMod?
Just try different ROM's like MIUI and CM9. And if the problem persists, looks like its stock or put up. I'm on RR 2.3 and I have no problems.

Its so frustrating i can't play good Gameloft games anymore..
I found that certain games like six guns and settlers didn't work on aosp or aokp Roms so I went back to a modified Samsung Rom. If there is a solution I'd love to know

Spikes PureICS 7.5 & AOSP apps - here
It's based on Samsung LPG Rom but with AOSP look and some AOSP apps. Looks great but there are still certain things from the AOSP and AOKP Roms that I miss

I'm starting to think its not ROM related... i tried RGUI NDT MIUI, RootBOX and now Spikes PureICS.
They're all giving me the same issues. NOVA crashes after a minute or two and Starfront Collision shows blue, greed boxes and the GUI doesn't show.

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure the first NOVA game doesn't work correctly on ICS anyway. As for Starfront, try deleting the downloaded game cache files and letting it download them again after reinstalling the app. That's fixed it a few times for me with troublesome games

[Q] Subway surfer freeze using kantry123's unofficial JB for XU ROM

Hi,this is my first thread so i am unaware if i am to post my query here or anywhere else....please inform me if its wrong!
Anyway so the problem i am having is that i installed kantry123's JB ROM for XU ...which is a modified version of pipi14's v6 JB
The ROM was fine ,absolutely smooth ...no probs whatsoever.But when i play subway surfers(did not try any other game,so cant say about them) i have the following problem-
When running its smooth,no lag,but after sometimes (maybe at the start of the run or 7000 pts or 1.2 lac points) the game freezes for 1-2 sec,then lags horribly for 2-4 secs,then again freezes for 0-2 secs....then finally it runs fine
You might say that its not that much of a problem but the truth is due to the interruption of 3-8 secs , in more than 90% of cases i end up dying
Its annoying
Please help on how to fix the issue
N.B. i dont have this issue in pipi14's v6 but it has less free RAM and mic is not working!

greenfly and hibernates install some app and install ram menage and set it on more I multitask in more addon I installed file explorer with root and I deleted some system apps I have the phantom kernel 1.7 and so I also work busybox and ctrl led to the lED bar that works better
By pure truth, This is an unofficial port of Xperia P or Go's JB port so bugs will be there. You really can't expect such kind of ROM's to be truly bug free. This kind of issue is common with the ported JB ROM's so actually there's no fix until the dev themselves find and correct the useless codes.
Though you can probably check that there isn't any app running in the background. You can try RAM manager pro to manage your RAM efficiently for various kinds of uses.

you are correct,but i dont have that problem in pipi's ROM and kantry's ROM has been derived from it,so it feels weird !
