Hi, i'm on slim ics so it's basically cm9 but i guess aokp guys also can answer this.. How do i set contact photo for myself as i'm using inverted mms.apk and its difficult to differentiate myself from the other person at a glance so setting a contact photo for myself would make things really easy.. Help is appreciated
You need to create a profile for yourself in people, there should be an option at the top of the list if you haven't done it already.

i tried that.. that didn't work for me
On stock, you can go to Contacts, Menu, My Profile, Menu, Edit, then add a picture there.
Not sure if it's the same on Slim ICS or not.
I cant imagine that doesnt work
i createt a new contact including my number and createt a nickname for it added a photo and now if i send a massage to myselfe i get a message by my own

It would need to remember numbers so that it only replies to each number once in a given time period (it may do this already.)

Hi davey1980,
I can certainly put that on my list of future implementations and try and work it into the next version. I may be able to spend a bit of time on it this week so I may be able to get a release out before next weekend with that feature in.
With regards to downloading, if you left click the attachment you'll get the cab file to download. I just tried right clicking and "saving file as" and that gave me the php file.
If you're still struggling, email me at [email protected] and I'll mail the cab file over to you.

I shall certainly be working in a whitelist into the next version. I was thinking of custom messages per whitelisted number too.

great! because my main purpose of using this app is to send sms to several contacts in my whitelist, but i wouldn't want to send a reply to all of my received sms'

Just uploaded version 1.3.5.0 with the option of using the blacklist or the whitelist for SMS replies.

The first (paid) app from that search result includes the ability to automatically add a watermark from the share menu, or by choosing to take a photo from the app itself which will also automatically add a watermark.
If that's too much trouble for you, try politely asking the author of the camera app you use to add watermark support.

What do you mean it didn't work? If you bought it and it's not functioning as described, contact the author via the market for support.

I got a new SGSII through an unwanted upgrade, have stock rooted ICS 4.0.3 and found that keypad, logs, favourites are under one app 'Phone', and groups, contacts and favourites under another 'Contacts'.
An old SGSII running an older version of Litening rom my friends has, got the keypad, logs, contacts, favourites and groups all in one place.
I can't seem to change this/merge them, were the merged dailer/contacts part of the previous rom? Previous touch wiz version? Or am I being dumb and not finding the setting to have them in the same screen?
Thanks for any pointers/mocking/gtfo's etc in advance

Well that sucks monkey toes, looks like I got to enjoy several more taps to work with numbers logs and contacts (or use another app) high five for progress...

Mate, your sarcasm meter is faulty, send it off for repairs, and while your at it get treatment for those saddle sores.
And you want to raise the question know how hard/tiring one more click per use is, and you are who exactly? how heroically pedantic. Do I tell you how the way you do things are wrong?
After you have used it in a car dock extensively, I'll think you might have half an idea of the implications, until then you obviously don't get what the difference is and just want to jump on the comment about an extra few taps, bravo

can't you just push the GB phone.apk into sys?
You could always install a 3rd party app like Go Contacts which comes with a dialer and have it all intergrated once again.

To be honest, I already had ExDialer and Contacts by the time the good Sun90 let me know it's the lay of the land with ICS. Have had a quick look at others too.
With A N Other dialers I've tried so far, you have to tap a different end of the phone, which still takes your attention away for half a second, which when crossing the A406 to get to the A1 isn't really the one, actually, anywhere in central London to be fair.
It's purely for this reason, it's the 'no look' control on the old dialer I'm after again, as I'm on the blower a lot, so am obviously evaluating other options as there could be better out there, I've only just updated to ICS so contrary to a certain peevish belief, I asked a question on a q&a forum to point me in the right direction, as the better members here of XDA know how to *cough* soap box *cough* hahahaa
Regarding the pushing of the Phone.apk, was going to be trying that tonight after backing up, it came from a custom rom and my knowledge of these things is a bit dry, so will find out if it plays nice later.

Hi all.... i have just moved from blackberry to the samsung glaxy s3....
I have a few questions regarding the contacts and the phone dialer....
1- is it somehow possible to customise the contacts view so that i can see the company name under the na.e of the contact without actually opening the contact..... this was a default thing on my blackberry n was extremely useful... i want the same to happen on android also.
2- in the phone application also i want to see the company name of the contact under the contact name.
3- i also want to see the company name in the call screen (incoming calls and outgoing calls)......
I have looked for an answer to this in these forums, google n lots of other places. I even rooted my phone to edit the contacts and the phone app, but since i have negligie knowledge of programming, was unsuccessful in that too....

try full screen caller id (search for it in android market), i believe that shows all details when you have an incoming call.

Thanks alot buddy.... i have looked in the market... yes there are certain apps.... but they are limited in such a way that they will display the company name only on the actual call screen, not when i am trying to find a contact... but i will look again if u say...

This is regarding the duplicate entries made by android system in Call Log List..
To be concise,
when i call a contact lets assume Mr. X.. after having conversation with Mr. X,
i called Mr. Y. & then have to call Mr. X again..
We can see, there will be two entries for Mr. X with different time-stamp.
this happen with every contact you call after the other. (SEE SCREENSHOT ATTACHED)
I use my call log list as TO-Call List (for following-up). i have to delete the multiple entries of every contact i call multiple times to keep the my call list clean & usable for this purpose.
My Ques is, How to fix this duplicate entries of single contact. as it use to be in Symbian (Nokia).
Please guide..
I get where you're going.... In SMS, every user has his own "thread" and whenever you get another message from him, it's collected in that "thread".
The stock phone/call log app doesn't work this way. It's more like an actual call log - the calls are written down chronologically, not by caller.
Perhaps there are 3rd party apps which can do it in the market.

Exdialer App did exactly as we want.. there is a function called Merge the Calls..
