It was like 5 months on the CDMA Hero... They had back ported almost an entirely functional set of kernel drivers by the time it actually dropped. That was my last HTC phone until now.

I think its a 45 or 90 day limit on sources to be in compliance with gpl and all. Read about it on here a long time ago.

Yep...within 90 days to be GPL compliant.
Sent while hanging with that really hoopy frood Ford Prefect.
Nowhere in the gpl does it state 90 days or any other time frame. It states that it must be made available, if requested, upon released to public use.

This. I find it very surprising that HTC hasn't had any kind of ramifications against it due to not complying with the GPL.
So..has anyone actually contacted HTC to request this? I'd really like to see a functioning AOKP / CM9 build on the EVO LTE but I doubt that's going to happen without kernel / driver sources...

Around the second quarter of this year
From computerworld.com
" HTC EVO 3D: HTC's EVO 3D is on the ICS shortlist, according to statements posted by both HTC and Sprint in early November. The phone is said to be in line for its Android 4.0 upgrade sometime toward the start of 2012."

I asked HTC on Twitter. They said they would tell me but would have to send ninjas to finish me off. Anyway has there ever been a leak to release avg timeframe. If the sensation has had a couple, I'm sure we have them. Just nobody to leak it. How long was it when the og EVO got gingerbread leaks to actually getting it? I don't remember it being too long.

If I were you, I would hold off on the Galaxy Nexus unless LTE is actually IN your area. If not, just wait until SGS3... and by then, LTE should be there... or at least close.

Sprint reps for the most part dont even know when phones are being released on their own network (even when the internet leaks a roadmap)
So I doubt highly a rep got any info from a HTC rep... Pretty sure Jeff Gordon would have slipped it out to his man lover and it would have been out already (the date of release that is )

Exactly.. We are to presume since our device is similar to the One X that it includes us but we seem to be the black sheep of the HTC family same as with the 3D. I just need them to release Jelly Bean and let me enjoy it for a few then the next go around my phone won't say HTC on it.

It's not similar. It IS the one x. Only bigger battery and sd slot. HTC isnt going to specifically mention every one x variant by name. And the evo3d was a whole different mess as it was the only one of its kind. Apples and oranges.

I'm more interested in this myself....
.... What about a development version of Android 4.1?
For our developer community, we plan to make generic development ROMs of Jelly Bean available for both the HTC One X and HTC One S. As soon as the ROMs are ready, they will be posted to our HTCdev site (www.htcdev.com). We strongly recommend customers take the time to understand the limitations of the development software along with the terms and conditions on the site before downloading to their device.
