As you may have noticed, the bar above indicates that I have signal reception, while it indicates in the notification (No service) which means otherwise. Anyway I can resolve this?

This happens if your service provider is currently busy (in some case during a thunder storm) that means you can only make emergency dials....
since when u have that issue
have you done something befoure that could have made your phone state this
in the settings of your phone you can choose or search for service providers
settings -> wireless and network -> mobile network -> serviceprovider
also check the option above the mode (2g 3g )
Try rebooting,that works for me

There's no such thing as "Service Provider" in the Mobile Network Menu.

I suggest that try turning on airplane mode for a few minutes and then turning it off. I know it seems basic, but it should reset your 3G. It may or may not work depending on the phone and the service provider.
I dont know how it is called in your language ive got a german rom and if i transalte it its called serviceprovider
just try a bit in the network menu

my atrix was fine today, but the signal suddenly disappeared from my carrier, and not make calls anymore. when I put my SIM card in another phone it recognizes the signal from my carrier and I can call. any ideas?
thanks
HELP!!!!
please
can be a problem in the GSM frequency?? Because I can find other carrier..
may have burned only one frequency?
how to check?
is possible to burn only the 2100 mhz frequence??
1. Try to search network in setting. Than choose your carrier..
2. Last way is to flash your atrix.
Power off / power on the phone. Double check your network and APN settings. Otherwise you might be looking at a factory data reset...

Maybe your sim card broke?

Are you still without a signal?
Have you tried the factory reset yet?...
if you can, try someone elses sim card in your phone. Its a long shot but I have seen it work in the past. If it works, takes it out and then put yours in. Otherwise Flash SBF, or take it in for warranty replacement.
Just out of curiosity, have you installed any weird 3rd party apps recently?...

Might not explain the calling, but do you have anything in your APN list?
Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names
If Access Point Names (APN) is Blank, then try manually adding yours in from this Master APN List Thread...

I'd just make a call, and then when I try to do another (some time later) had no more signal. the phone still works ... all turn out!
I'm the unluckiest person in the world!
I recently installed the hydrog3n rom (28.3.2012) and now don't have 3g/data connection, but wi-fi works fine. My previous rom was cyanogenmod 7.1.0 and everthing was working. My carrier's apn settings are correct.

Check your APNs. If it's across multiple ROMs, sounds like your APN settings are wrong or missing.
EDIT: aaaaand, I fail at reading. Sorry. I see you already say your APNs are good.
One seemingly silly suggestion though. Check to make sure packet data is turned on in mobile data settings.

yes i checked and mobile data is enabled. i checked the settings, but did not see any "packet data" check box. Are mobile data and packet data two different things?
I tried Resurrection, Wanamlite, Spike Pure ics and CM9 nightlys roms with no luck.

Probably looks different in ICS. I'm still on GB. If you checked, and mobile data is enabled, I'm thinking that's probably (maybe?) the same thing.
So the power button menu (power for 2 sec), does that show several options? If so, is Data network mode included? If so, does it say it's activated?

I am curious - when not on wifi, do you get a mobile data signal indicator next to your signal bar? (should say "G", "E", "3G", "H", or "H+")

Be careful if you play around with the service menu on your Xperia Z Ultra, I just ran into a major issue (bug)?
I looked at the various options in the Service menu and one is about Radio Bands, but when you select it you have only 1 choice "USA Radio Bands".
Once selected, no way to change back to a different region and the phone simply gets disconnected from the Network with no way to re connect.
I'm currently going through a Factory Reset which seems to fix it.

Well, my apologies for that, i thought you ment that the data was resetting after you unlocked the device trough htcdev :d
3G data gets restarted? You mean it is on, you lock the screen and it goes off? Turn off all battery saving options.

I meant that if the data is set to 'OFF' . after I unlock my phone the data gets auto started.
That's the problem !
Sounds as if an application is forcing the data to be turned on. Check apps that you have recently installed.

I had assumed that the setting would always be there but greyed out if not supported by the network; but perhaps not! The phone definitely supports it as you can see.
I think this is sim dependent, based on my experience with other phones

Sorry can't help further; it does work for me in the UK on the BT (EE) network with the Find N (I have terrible network reception where I live also). Might be worth checking with your network provider to see if Wifi Calling is only enabled for certain phones on their network, and whether they can enable it for the Find N?

I was already on ColorOS 13 developer preview 2, so I suspect this has something to do with it.. The problem is, 1 - The software needed to get DP2 is no longer available on the Oppo developer site. 2 - Most importantly, if you did manage to get your hands on a copy of DP2 and your version is already above 19 this wouldn't work anyway, as the process to install DP2 only worked on versions 19 and below..
