I just checked for an update when I got up and it looks like it is ready to download. I am going to hold off on mine so I can root before I do it. Has anyone downloaded and tested yet?

Device hanging
This doesnt help me at all. I wanna install gingerbread or honeycomb onto my device. Nothing works.
That link will help you if you read the material there. Just the fact you are asking how to install honeycomb on your device lets us know that you haven't read much on here yet. Most people on this forum are more than ready to help you when you need it, but we aren't going to hold your hand. Read around in here for a few hours and you will get your answers and learn some things to help you out when you run into a problem.
Step by step
I did. I read it for hrs. I found nothing that helped me. I tried to flash my device or unroot it. The program someone told me to installed dont work and still I cant install non marketplace apps. I created a thread so someone could help not tell me to read. If that was the case I wouldnt of made this thread. I never done this before and I heard about this a couole weeks ago. Ask me anything about car audio n ill give u an answer. This perticular topic... Its like reading chinese so if someone could actually help me. My streak is running 2.2

No offense - if you don't understand it then you shouldn't be trying to mod your phone.
Here, let me handle this one:

Thanks Guys!
I finally figured it out! My phone is not Rooted, running stock ICS, With a flash coutner of 0!
I ended up getting Kies, emergency firmware update to work. Full the full details go to this link!

Just wanted to update my thread, I hate it when people do not post the end result lol.
All of this to return a device to stock ???
My friend ....
Look at the top of the general section ....
There you will find a thread called ...."galaxy note super everything thread"
Scroll down the first post in the thread until you reach the " return to stock " sub section.
There you will find 3 different and confirmed methods ....
Read them, then read again ....
The methods are simple and effective .....g
And at the end of those three methods your counter will be zero.
I made things much harder than they needed to be!
I finally got it figured out! This is my first week of android, but I really like the flexibility of it. I just find iOS boring now days. I had an Iconia tablet a while back, I eventually gave it to my mom, but I never realized the capability of the OS till spending the weekend messing with rooting etc.
Thanks to everyone for taking the time to read my thread.
I edited it to reflect how I solved the problem, and put a link to the Kies Emergency Firmware Recovery thread, in case anyone finds themselves in my situation (I also explained exactly how I got it to work on the last post of page 9, the method seems to have changed a little bit since the original post) .
I'm glad it all worked out for you !
Great work ...g
Greetings,
This thread's purpose is for me to ask you a question. I recently go to this website androidclip.com/update-oppo-r5-to-5-0-lollipop/ . I want to ask,is it safe to use this website to update my roms to Lollipop.
I use OPPO r5, rooted . this is the picture of a screenshot of this website I used.
BTW if the answer is no, then please tell me what should I do, thanks.
You know what, never mind the picture. Idk how to put it ?
Thanks
This website looks like scam. Also, a ROM update is usually nor an EXE nor an APK file. I wouldn't touch the offered downloads.
Too bad
It was not my intention to spam,
and I hope I have not miss any message that had them, but I can't find any valid link to download the root and recovery zip files. All link are dead.
But I see modding is still alive here, and I have to admit this makes me very happy about that, so, can anyone upload those files? I resurrected this phone after my Nexus completely died, and I would like to mod it, since the stock ROM is not that good.
Thank you, and sorry again for this strange post.
