Start from scratch, reflash, dont add any mods or anything and check BT if it works then add everything you want one by one and see if/when it breaks, then you will know whats wrong.
Cheers,
Evil.
Reboot the phone and then try again.
(ICS on LWW is not stable, has a lot of bugs. I've just downgraded to super-stable Ginger Bread.)

I cant agree with you, i've been using it for over a week now and not a single crashed apk or necessary reboot. Works faster and slicker than GB.
Thanks guys.
I will wipe everything, including SD card.

You probably had an error with rom and it got your phone.
Try using flashtool with the updated firmware.
If that doesn't work try seus with the repair option.
Update this post with the info with what worked or what didn't.
ok .. tomorrow I'll download the firmware and I use the 2.1.A.0.435 FlashTool to update it, I already tried the HIS before but I will not try again if unsuccessful
Once done I'll update here, thanks!
I installed two new firmware version on all 2.1.A.0.435 and still not succeeded.
Then upgraded by SEUS and continued the same thing ..
Any other solution?
Is it x10i or x10a, can you still remember your original baseband/frimware?
It´s X10a , sometimes when I hang up and call him again, he dials normally, and makes the call, but then when I unplug it back to the problem
now my phone is so
model : xperia x10a
2.1 update 1
baseband 2.1.55
kernel = 2.6.29 ..
Comp. 2.1.A.0.504
=/
I had problem with messages (i didnt get any) when i used all my internal storage (actualy it happened when i had less than 50MB on internal drive)
its pretty stupid, but maybe it would help, if not to you, than to others
Thanks for the help, but has nothing to do with the space does not, he did not get calls or calls, since he moved so often firmware q space it already has plenty of .. heeh
Try another baseband? Not sure tho

Hi,
I've been having this problem on my Xperia ray since I bought it. The phones runs smooth and with no problems. However, once I get into an area with a weak signal or once I place the phone on flight mode, it goes into an endless reboot cycle until I turn off flight mode or get a strong signal.
I initially thought that this would be a rom problem, but I've experienced it on CM7 and Stock. I thought it might be an issue with 4.0.2.A.0.42, but even downgrading to 4.0.1.A.0.283 wouldn't solve it.
I'm attaching the last_kmsg from the last reboot hoping someone could help.
Thanks in advance,

Go to settings - wireless and network - mobile network - network mode and choose WCDMA(pref)/GSM to solve your problem
And yes get latest firmware for your Ray it would be "4.0.2.A.0.58"
This will also help to solve your problem
If you are using custom kernel then get Krsh Kernal for Ray
And don't use any battery saver software like Juice defender they play with networks...
Enjoy !
Hit thanks button if it works ....
Thanks for the reply,
I've been using "GSM Only" to avoid network switching. Shall I still change to CDMA preferred?
I also had the reboots when I tested the radio from the .58 firmware, but I'll try to flash the the full firmware tonight.
I can't seem to find krsh kernal for Ray, seems to be available to every other Xperia other than the Ray, do you have the link?

I don't have link for now but if Ray has got KrSH kernal then i will send you link soon ...
And GSM network uses 2G signals ... keep it WCDMA (pref)/GSM so that you can get 2G and 3G signals both...
And .58 firmware is stable .. go for full flash to solve problem
.58 is not really meant for Xperia ray but it will probably work just fine. It's meant for Xperia mini pro, Xperia pro and Live with Walkman.
Try using the phone with a different SIM card just to see if this makes any difference. Since it seems to be network related it might work. The newer card, the better.
If you're not possible to get hold of another SIM card, try to disable the PIN lock and see if there's any improvement.
We're currently rolling out a new software (.6x). This one will improve the memory management which should avoid reboots. Might be what you need. Check if you can get it (we just started the roll out so all cannot get it just yet).

@neroyoung I've been running the .58 firmware for the past two days with WCDMA (Auto). Didn't solve the rebooting problem. Did not try to chance the kernel yet, but doomlord's kernel didn't solve it in the past.
@Markus Thanks, I'll be travelling tomorrow so I'll be getting a new sim. I'll let you know how it goes. I'll also try the .6x firmware when it's out.

Stock firmware is not the problem,
ok the last thing i could tell you is try to find out background processes and uninstall those software that are not important and runs in background
for that go to
Settings-Application-Management-running and see background unwanted non system processes
Also try scanning and cleaning SD card or replace it with new one or format it and try it fresh, make backup before you format sd card
If this doesn't solve your problem then show your Ray to nearest service center....
Dear slimfady wat u can try now is that SE has released a new firmware For Ray try to update it to new firmware and see if problem goes or not.
Good Luck..

After 5 days with the new firmware, I can say that the problem has been resolved. I haven't got any reboot yet. Only downside is that the new firmware can't be rooted yet.
I would like to know whether the fix was in the new radio or the new kernel. I'll try different combos after running with the .62 firmware for a while
Reboot new firmware
Hey, I'm on O2 and I have the same problem!
I've read that uninstalling McAffee may help, so thats what I've done today. I've also switched back to GSM (G2) this helps enormously with battery life (I can can 7 days without charge), no reboots yet since I've done this.
I've had the same reboot problem on the previous firmware build and the latest.
The other thing that I and others have noticed is the problem also seems to happen when the signal drops out or is very weak. SE need to get to the bottom of this before they bring out ICS for the RAY.
P.S. just checked phone, rebooted while in pocket, I don't know how much business I,m losing cos of this, I'll have to take the SIM card lock off...... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
The newest firmware solves the rebooting problem. Just update your phone and you are fine.

A simple question, now i'm waiting for ICS, it's a new thing and i have the curiosity to try it, but if it is laggy or slow, not smooth, can we downgrade to 2.3.4 without get some surprise like 0% battery issue ?
This is a must have for who want to try the difference between ICS and GB without unlock bootloader, and so decide to keep one of them.
Thanks

I guess nobody knows that right now
will see what will be happen after a downgrade maybe get some surprises or not all
I went from ICS BETA ( One which sony provided not modded or anything clean) to 2.3.4
No problems
LEts wait and watch
So far with every ICS rom I tried(including ICS beta from Sony) going back to 2.3.4 didn't had any problem. We'll wait and see what happens with official release
OK so I tried it too just today, it works with no problem to go back.
i hope sony will release ICS this week since its already mid-april....
I downgraded from every ICS Rom (Beta, AOSP...) to Stock GB via Wotan Server, without troubles, It is easy... The first time will take long (because it will download the FW files, but after will get just 1-2 minutes. Just connect your phone in Flash Mode and you are done

May be a network problem. Not in your phone but on your router.
I had the same problem.
Try this:
-erase your network from the phone.
-disconnect the router (or turn it completely off)
-reconnect the router
-on your phone make sure you have automatic IP search (DHCP)
-connect the phone to wi-fi whenever the router is ready
Hit Thanks if it helped

Yeah, I have the same problem with my XM, except that it's working perfectly (but slowly) with the stock ICS rom, but not with any modded rom. The wifi keeps reconnecting to my home network. Already tried a lots of roms and settings, but no success...
Hi all, first sorry for my bad english.
I have two problems with my Sony U that occur contemporaneously. Suddenly and without any clues, I get "no service" on phone. When this happens, also I cannot turn on or off the wi-fi. Wi-fi options in settings panel stays grey and if I click on it, I get "serching wifi networks". In this conditions also I cannot turn on or off on "Airplane mode": I only can click it and have to reboot the phone to get really on airplane mode. If I again disable airplane, always get no service and no wi-fi. I tried to remove the sim, but I cannot enable wifi anyway. When I bought this phone I have unlocked the bootloader and have installed stock 6.1.1.b.1.54 Vodafone italian stock rom with rooted 6.1.1.c.1.0 kerneland got this problem after two weeks. Then flashed NoSh1t! 6.1.1.C.1.0 rom got on the forum, 10 days and problems occured again.
Please help me, I'm stuck and really frustrated
Thank you for your patience on reading me :good:

Unfortunately it didn't solve the problem. I flashed ginger bread ftf, then munjeni, NoSh1tand I reinstalled all the apps. Today I have rebooted the phone for the first time, and the problem occoured again. The strange thing is that on the phone doesn't appear any error related to missing sim (also if I take out he sim). I'm going to get refund, it's really irritating...

I've factory resetted the phone, re-locked the bootloader and flashed latest 6.0.b.3.184 generic world gingerbread rom, without root obviously. It's working for time being (and it's really faster), but it's soon to say definitively because the first time the problem occoured after 2-3 weeks...
