Is it possible to use a build.prop from one CM9 ROM in another UCLE2 ROM?
Basically, I am trying to establish the same Tablet mode look from a CM9 Rom in the Tablet mode for a UCLE2 ROM.
The settings menu, and ICS Phone & ICS People look I want to make "smaller".
Any guidance on what lines to edit would be appreciated.
The look is based on the apps within the ROM, the only thing moving over a cm9 build.prop to a tw ROM will do is bootloop you.

I am currently playing around with customizing my own rom for personal use based of the plain de-odexed rom. I have added various packages like:
Camera mod
oc4 1.2 jac kernal
mobileAP
some custom themes and fonts
swype with voice icon
GPS files from leak
ect
My question is with all the main roms (eugene and Bionix) released there are always references to "Build.prop mods for better data throughput", how can I take JUST THOSE CHANGES and port them into my rom. Is it as simple as using abd pull and push with certain files? Do I need someone to make me a flashable zip package?
Also I noticed eugene in his latest build used a different camera and would love to try that is that just as simple as adb pull and pushing the camera apk?
Any help provided would be truly appreciated I am still kinda a noob.
Also just to be EXTREMELY clear this is only for my personal use and basic knowledge. I wish to take nothing away form the absolutely stellar work these guys do everyday, I simply have some different preferences then the main roms created and would love to learn to take the advantages of each rom and customize them to my own needs.
No one can help me out?

I am doing the same.i noticed in bionix build.prop the symlinks. I like that.but he also references a "jit" did they port a jit? that would rock

I just switched my S3 from ICS to a JB Custom Rom and I don't like the new animations. Is there a way to get back the ICS animations?
Maybe search for icon packs, or Ask in the Custom Rom thread you downloaded from, or if all else fails, then you could revert back to ICS if you really wanted lol.
I'm sure I just have to change a few files but I need to know which ones.

With Nova launcher you can back to ICS animations but if you don't (want) use another launcher than Touchwiz... I don't really know.
Animations are in framework, but what is need to edited...

I've just flashed from an ICS Rom back to a GB (Not Cyanogenmod based) one so everything is working, just wondering if it's possible for me to move the signal/wifi/clock closer together so it's more like ICS?
2)
Is there anyway to customize the lock screen pattern dots so they are skinnier and more simplistic like the stock ICS ones?
3)
Can I apply *ANY* Metamorph/ZipThemer mods onto my device or do only mods made for my device work?
4)
How can I put 'swipe to remove notification' onto my ROM?
Try and keep things simple for me.

Hi again. I was wondering how would i deodex the stock 4.1.2 samsung rom in S3? I would like to deodex it by myself because i like the samsung goodies it has, BUT i would also like to change themes using XthemeEngine so i tried one theme called "Blacked Out" but it just changed the notification icons and nothing else, i just made a try but i know that in this state is impossible, so i searched how to deodex stock roms, and i've found this:

After following the basics steps, i get stuck on 3) : i won't deodex any app even if i remove several .odex files from /oirigi_app, but it's always the same. So, i guess i need a proper method for the GT-i9300, any ideas?
If it were by me...i would just install an already deodexed custom rom...but the last time i tried, i had problems with connectivity, i think it was because the default modems weren't compatible with my region, right? So unless i know how to install the proper modem i won't install any custom rom yet. (However..., when i tried Siyah Kernel Dual Boot option for the first time with UltimaRom, it worked fine and i could connect even to Mobile Data from my operator, but if i try to install UltimaRom as my main rom, it would refuse to connect...)

so basically i need cm11 to look like stock rom....with its interface and stock rom apps.....personal reasons dont ask why i would be really glad if there was anyway i would REALLY be happy about a solution to this....i found a theme for cm11 to look like touchwiz but additionally to that i need cm11 to include the stock rom apps and of course the look :angel:
you can theme it as you've found out already but you cannot get the TouchWiz and it's apps to work on the CM rom.
