Looks good. May pick it up due to me always wanting something New to play with pertaining to the phone. Currently have the Otterbox and would like to own both this case and OBD. May have to pick one up but will DEFINITELY be looking for z third party seller due to me now wanting to pay half of what I did for the phone for 2 protective shells LoL. Just thought I would share. My local Sprint Store has EVO 3d's and is selling them now, you have to ask though.
They also have both OtterBox's in stock. The prices might make you sweat, but they have them.

i went to mine and they didint budge.
Mine confirmed the otterbox commuter to me today on the phone.
They sold me 2 Defender cases, without any trouble at all. They actually walked to the back and got 2 for me.
The Defenders should hold me over until I get a tough case like Ballistic or Trident.

The otterbox defenders usually run $50 retail. This is true no matter what phone it is for. I am thinking the EVO 3d otterbox will be no different.

They do not have the kickstand cases. They have the 2 Otterbox cases, the car charger (obviously) and they also had the window mount.
Call me a retard but how do you pry the plastic case open? I put the phone in after getting it open somehow, now I noticed the screen is dirty and needs to be wiped. I cant open this beast.
Edit: Ok got it figured out. You have to pry open the tabs on the side to open it up. Now that its all situated, all i can say is this thing is a beast. Very happy especially since I got it for $40 using my USPS discount. =)
Have called the nearest Sprint stores around here and the Best Buy stores as well and all of them either have no idea when they are getting the Otterboxes OR they won't sell them to me until tomorrow (when I have to work ) - I NEED a case!

Just called my store, they are going to call me back. They said they do indeed have them, they just need to check and see if the sku's are all good to go and if they can sell them. Someone is pulling your leg because if it is a corporate store, they should have them on launch.
I just walked into my Sprint store, told them I was told they have the Otterbox cases for the Evo 3D, the guy said yes, went in the back, and brought one out for me. I think all stores have them and its a matter of speaking to the right person.

I wish this case was bigger like the Ballistic HC!
But I do like almost everything about the Otterbox Defender for 3D. I just wish the sides didn't go so high, makes it hard to touch the edges of the screen.
I'd give it an 8/10. Very good case.

I also have the Defender and I'm very happy with it!! Bought it at Best Buy for $50 the day I bought my 3D( few days after launch). I have not had any issues with it except the silicone stretching just a little bit. I know Otterbox will send me a new complete case I just don't think its bad enough yet to justify that. I imagine that because the case is put on and taken off 5 days a week that it has caused the stretching prematurely. If you leave the case on for a long time like I'm sure many do then it probably doesn't become an issue for quite a long time if ever at all....

Yeah the otterbox cases are awesome. I've used them on 2 consecutive phones. My phones get some abuse and have yet to replace my 3D because it was dropped. Props to Otterbox.

My first streched out too, got a replacement and I've taken the second one off and one my phone more times than the first and its still super snug everywhere all corners, I suggest gettin that new one shipped out, u won't be disappointed

I'm just curious whether we can expect a defender series for our device or the international version. The Skyrocket has been on the market less than both devices and already has 3 series of cases in multiple colors. Sort of clear who gets all the accessory love at this point.

I think someone on here asked Otterbox (use search) and they "do not have current plans" to make a Defender for the SII or something like that.
I bought a Seidio Active with holster. Seidio basically said the same thing and do not have any plans on making a Convert for the SII.
Sounds like the Ballistic case is your best bet (see below). I like the way the Otterboxes look though but only the Defender comes with a holster.

Yeah i think i saw the thread you are referring to but the guy only really commented on the belt holster and screen protector both of which i had no interest in. I was thinking about giving one a shot but im definitely going to see if i can get more info/opinions on it. If i get one ill throw up a review with pics.

I would too. I personally don't mind the extra size at all. My Inspire 4G survived a motorcycle crash thanks to a defender case with no damage to the phone and just some scuffs to the silicon on the case. Took a spill between 30-40 with the phone in my pocket.

Has anyone come up with a thin case with a kick stand. I see allot of them availible for Verizon phones and the iPhone but nothing for our phone or any sprint phone.

This is also the seido (sp) case just rebranded. It looks sharp but the kickstand is actually pretty crappy. It feels solid at first but few months of use, it gets too worn out to support any weight. I'm kind of disappointed. Loved it at first though.

I have been rocking the Seidio hev3d
I have had the Seidio hev3d for about 8 months and it is a great case. Cheap sturdy case and is easy to put on and take off if battery pull is necessary.

I also have that case and been having it for about a year but i droped it once and case craked. It did serve it perpise of not damege my phone but 3 months later itcracked from the power side so now the case its a bit loose on top i am still thinking of bying this case again but i would like it cheper than 30.00 dollars witch i paid at amazon.
Seidio hev3d was what I went with in the end after a long look. Others look tacky and cheap. This isn't the thinnest but definitely the best.
If I do drop my phone, something I have never done and we are going back 12 years or so ! I know that this should keep it in one piece.

I couldn't find them anywhere. I was searching for the last 2 days. I ended up trying out the Defender since I couldn't find it. I must say, I'm liking it so far. Not as big as I thought it would be. You just may have to order from Otter if you want it. It seems that no one plans on getting them anytime soon. Good luck

I live in socal I have been searching but no local store have them so I was force to purchase commuter from otterbox.com for my wife and I .. used a code which wasn't much but its better then nothing 5% off 50 and 10% off 70 code:AM2012.. Yeah but no one has the frikken thing. Sprint seems to be sold out. Amazon "Prime Eligible" one is out as well. Had to order it from another vendor. Gotta wait like 10 days to get it. I love Otters tho. Good product t!

It comes with screen protector included, not attached. A lot of people didn't even know one was in the box and never applied it.
So my amazon order said shipped but then last night I get a refund and a letter saying it will not be coming... So I bought one on ebay... Let's see if I can actually get this case..

I was told by someone at the sprint store that they wont be carrying the commuter in black only the defender. it seems really stupid that they would sell the pink version of the commuter and not the black one. that's why its not in any sprint stores at least
