Q. Fast launcher - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

Im looking for the fastest launcher.
I already have ftl, zeam, tsf, SPB launcers.
For now the tsf is the fastest launcher but it takes a lot of ram that i need so the games will run smoothly.
zeam and ftl are fast but not enough when i exit from app with the home button it takes time to this launchers to load the widgets and the menu.
So i will be glad if u will recommend me launcher that is fast as tsf launcher but takes much less ram.

Have you tried Holo? Its based off the ICS launcher.

+1 for Holo. It's extremely tiny and much faster than the others, but looks great and is quite customizable.

Try LauncherPro. My Galaxy looks nice now after I finished it. This is a customized version of Jellybean. Just get the icons from the Internet and you're set. The dock icons I mean. The other icons are from the ROM I use.

Me too! Anything with gingerbread I use adw ex.
Edit. I also use the Holo launcher

Go with holo. It's lightweight on RAM

I believe Holo Launcher and Launcher Pro are the fastest performance wise. However, it's hard to find themes for them for some reason. I know Holo Launcher is pretty much the newest of the bunch. But Launcher Pro has been out for a while.

Try Adw laucher,GO launcher or Android 7 launcher.

Is that a theme you're running, with the trays on the side? Like the looks of that weather widget, too! My ADWex setup looks pretty dang bland in comparison. :\

No theme, just a tabbed wallpaper using blank icons and screen shortcuts in adw. Made the wallpaper. Tapping on each "tab" takes you to its respective screen. The weather widget is HD Widgets.

Love Go Launcher on the tab, only issue is the app drawer icon labels are all compressed and hard to read so I just disable them. Other than that no issues. I love scrolling sidebar as the dock.
I still suggest that you all drop Launcher Pro and switch to ADW Launcher Ex. It runs faster and is more customizable.
Anything by the launcher pro guy should be dropped. He never has long term plans and abandons things for extended periods. Uber music has been stagnant as well as LP.

You can create folders on each page to hold more apps. Just drag one icon on top of another, and the launcher will create a new folder and ask you to name it. That way you can have all your apps on your launcher desktop, organized in folders.

Launcher and Locker
I have used many launchers in the past including Launcher 8 and Smart Launcher. However I prefer Apex Launcher over the latter because of the simplicity of the applications UI and the ability to customize down to the size of icons. I am currently running Apex Launcher and it doesn't seem to drain battery more than other launchers I have tested. Here are some of my home screens.
I went for a minimalistic look and used the option to disable the notification bar and dock. The notification bar can be accessed by a fast swipe down and the app drawer (also customizable) can be accessed by a fast swipe up. I used ZooperWidget for many of my widgets and SMPL White icons for ditching the colored app icons.
As for the locker I installed Holo Locker which gives a very clean look to the phone.
The paid version can be customized to show SMS and call notifications and I believe you need it to change to shortcuts as well.
All these apps can be found on the Play Store SMPL White icons and Holo Locker being the only paid ones. Using these two together gives the device a very sleek look. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to improve upon stock UI without rooting!
I prefer Holo Launcher HD, Nova and Apex are too... Feature filled for me. Also I find that Holo HD uses less RAM and is smoother with less redraws on my P769
If you want somerhing a bit different, you can have a look at Atom launcher, it's one of my favourites
