You can always install google voice in the interim until the MMS issues are ironed out. You don't even need to start using a new phone number, just put your regular phone number into the setup for GVoice and it will forward messages automatically.

Hey Guys,
Ive done a search and havent come up with a concrete answer why my phone is not getting mobile network. Im able to connect with wifi but as soon as i leave wifi I have no luck. Im using Virtous Shooter v.3.0.5 and an HTC Evo 3D GSM. With the rooting and such the only thing I made a mistake on was in the revolutionary setup i selected CDMA and the incorrect HBoot. Could you guys give me a hand letting me know.
Thanks
MrToast
In addition im able to make and receive calls and text messages its just connecting to the internet when wifi is unavailable.
I can pay $5 via paypal to the person who helps me out fix this issue
You need to add the correct apn settings for your carrier under mobile network. Menu-settings-mobile network-access point names-menu add and then enter the settings then hit menu then save.
Just google your apn settings for your carrier or call and ask them for the proper settings, but google is quick and easy.

I have the same problem sometimes.
Everything is correct in the settings.
I also have a connection to mobile network. But I often get a timeout...
On other Roms no problems.
I rooted my phone and installed the Codename Android rom on my HTC Evo 4G LTE. Everything works fine except data connection. I can make calls and text with no problems but my internet, 3g/4g connection will not come on at all. Picture mail also seems to not work.
Is there a radio package that I need to flash to the data to work or am I going to have to start the root process all over from scratch
I would run fix permissions from recovery first before reinstalling the ROM.

I would restore ur stock nand and update profile ... If that doesn't work u may have to call sprint, but if u have to call, make sure u are on ur stock rom or a sense rom.

have you try updating your profile and prl? or have you try service reset ##72786#? oh and the mms dont work cause they need data to be send
HTC EVO LTE
I was able to get my Evo onto PagePlus without too much trouble. I have voice/sms and 1X data. I even managed to get the stock messaging app to send MMSs fine. I'm not able to get 3G working, I have a donor phone but its a Droid 2 and I have no way of getting the ESN changed so I can do the Donation. If anyone has had luck getting 3G to work any other way please let me know. The only other oddment I have going on is a message that pops up very often saying "Unable to establish Data Connection". Its obviously looking for a Sprint LTE or 3G connection which I cant do anything about, but does anyone know how make the message go away forever?
I have also noticed that while I am at home, I can send SMS to anyone, but when I am at work, 30 miles away, some I am unable to send SMSs to certain contacts.
Have you tried changing your prl and roaming?

I have updated my PRL to one that turns off the roaming triangle, and set the options under data to roam data and voice without asking. If I fiddle with the roaming settings too much things stop working and I have not found a combination that will avoid the message.
I have an Evo 4g LTE with the latest flash of this ROM and I can not send any picture text. Text... text work fine however. I switched my phone service to Ting and they require that I edit the mmsc (I think it is) address from the factory sprint using ##3282#. I did that and then flashed the phone. I "searched this thread" for mms and this is the closet thing that I can find to the issue I am having (post #74)

There was also a mention of AOSP uses 3/4g to send the pics even when logged onto wifi, and only another AOSP flashed phone will get them.
What should I try and do to solve this? Should I do what's in the link and change the Mobile network type setting?
And if you're wondering I have not posted more than 10x's so that's why I'm asking here instead of in the development thread
Use go sms... That's what everyone has said in those threads... Good luck!

Some roms are setup to send mms over wifi, but most require mobile data to be enabled like you said. I would try that first. If it still doesn't work, I've fixed it before by installing Handcent, setting it as the default mms app (inside Handcent settings somewhere), sending a few mms with that app, then uninstalling and going back to the stock messaging app. Mms worked as expected after that.

Okay, thanks guys
Well I dl go sms pro but it did not transfer my contact list, when I try and add a contact it does not save it and it does not send a reg text or mms. I can't find a settings menu either. I've searched for a how to guide here, android forums and google but can't find a dummy guide. What do I need to do?
My wife is getting my evo lte (I have the nexus 5 now)
Has anyone here tried this I-Wireless with an EVO LTE.
Just wondering if the phone actually has to be taken back to stock and unrooted.

trsix, does your MMS work? I have a Nexus 5 yet cannot seem to send/receive MMS with Hangouts
Can you post your APN settings? (Settings>More>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names)
Late reply

Yes everything works. Wife is using the Evo Lte now in I-Wireless. ($10)
She uses hangouts.
Looked but don't see those Access Point Names under settings.
I unrooted but still soff so wondering if i can put a custom unrooted rom on her phone.
Or will it mess with the iwireless setup. The stock sprint rom really blows chunks.
