If not then what to do ..pl tell me step wise

If I've deciphered your post correctly, I think you're asking if it's safe to update to the new LF2 firmware even though you haven't reset the flash counter after rooting.
In short, yes you can update safely, but you will have to root again after the update.

yes u can update ur firmware either through OTA by settings > about phone > updates
or manually through odin by downloading the whole firmware and flashing it...
u will lose root access after the flash so u will have to root it again...

what is da size of that update? and is worth to do that update? and i will loss all data by perfoming this update?

no binary counter will stay the same ...
there's no need to wrry abt it as no one's gonna check it in ur fone
size of that update is variable to different users...
some have got 9mb file and some users around 31mb...
ur data will remain intact as it is a small patch for the small flaws in ur firmware...

this update is for under the hood improvements ...
so u wont notice it ..
some people have noticed that launcher redraw issue is fixed after this update though

Hi Folks,
We have got a latest firmware DDKQ5 via Kies.
Lets make use of this thread to discuss about the additional features, Pros/Cons of this version.
I made a call to the samsung customer care on their toll free number this evening.
I was inquiring when the GB update would be released in India!
The call went to a senior authority as the initial guy who spoke to me was not aware of what i was speaking about.
Then i was told that they are not sure when the official release would be done.
I kept on asking that for other regions its there, why not India, then that guy told me, they have not released it via KIES yet, but if i want a GB update i can go to the service center and upgrade.
YES! THEY SAID WALK IN TO THE SERVICE CENTER AND GET IT FLASHED WITH GB
Then i called the nearest service center asking for updates, they said that still they did not get it from Samsung, they will get it next week (September 1st week).
Lets hope for the best.
Can u guys check with the nearest service center and reply??

Yes dude, i used fla.sh rom, the battery backup is good than the stock froyo and stock GB. I never have faced SOD prob with my SGA so far..
I tested only with X1 version of his ROM.
Hurray we got GB..

Hi Pal,
from samfirmware download the stock firmware for ur location.
In my case it was DDKC1 which was froyo..
After installing that when we connect to kies, it would definitely show the update..
let me know if u have any queries ill help u..

Hey dude its not that u have to type as imei... its the IMEI identification number... u can find it by entering *#06#
then substitute that IMEI number in *#272*..........................#

Seems to be a few new firmwares up, Singapore and Sweeden dont appear to be carrier dependant.
Id love to get rid of the telstra firmware so that updates are direct from samsung instead of telstra.
I know a search could find it but seeing ive made the thread ill ask, is there a good set of instructions for first time locked device users (nexus was easy to flash) on how to flash another countrys firmware on a locked down galaxy or do you just use odin for stock firmwares?

Latest release with no carrier software at all.
Doubt you can use samwungs servers to update though. I have a feeli g it doesnt work once you have a non original rom install. Could be wrong.

its not completly stock firmware so i doubt the sammy servers will update it, that being said a untouched version of hte international firmware like sweeden may not suffer the same fate.
I updated my Singapore (Singtel) set to the non-carrier latest Singapore firmware:

Yup.. that's what I thought. But Samfirmware did not list it as M1 and I don't see any M1 apps either..

MY slim rom is base on XXALI9 SG ..dont seee any problem with it..i think is fine to flash i9305 firmware to i9305

I flashed it using Odin 3.04.
After which bro prodigiez came out with his slim version and I went for that :good:
I confirmed I9305XXALI9_I9305OLBALI8_MM1.zip is M1 branded firmware...

No it is not my friend... is unbranded.. Sammobile only have the Singte(SIN) or unbranded(MM1)..
Mayb urs is a M1 unit so therefore when u flash MM1.zip,it doesnt wipe ur datas therefore ur M1 apps are still in there?

I just flashed It, after flashing it doesn't automatically do a factory reset so I did that manually, I've noted that the optus branding is removed from boot animation, and the homescreen quick bar icons are now customizable.
no FM radio module though...

I wipe data and factory reset...then flash MM1.Zip... after the initial setup (welcome screen, sign in google account and etc) , M1 apps in the main screen still...
Beside that, when i tap on Software update.. i got a popup says :
"Your deice has been modified. Software updates are not available"
you guys have this problem?

U have rooted ur device prior to the upgrade therefore u wont b able to do a software update via phone ie OTA n kies... not much of an issue actually since xda n sammobile will update the latest stock rom..juz download n flash.. mine is rooted also..
To get rid of ur M1 apps, try this
*#272*imei# then choose XSP... i will reset ur device to unbranded but i forgot whether datas will b wipe anot...

well... either I didn't notice it or after reboots and or rooting I saw some M1 apps showing up, have done this reset to XSP CSC thing now to see how that goes, it did wipe data btw.
EDIT: ok it seems that the M1 apps re appeared after the post-wipe reboot, i'm reflashing and seeing if they had appeared before I rooted.

Go on Sammobile , find the latest firmware for your region , don't download the once which have mark [! << in Red ] , then use odin to flash it, it's very easy!
If i do it it will lock..and i dont want to pay to unlock...i know to flash..i flashed hundred of roms on my s2...and if i want..and i want jelly bean...ill flash it...but it will lock..so i cant do anything..my phone has an ooold version

all success but when going to about phone .. serial number is 000000000
So i need help .. and i saw in a post here and they said if u want to solve the problem just downgrade to 2.3 again but what if i want to be on 4.0.3 ??
another thing please .. when i tab on update software it saying registering and ther process failed ??? why this happened and yes am registering with samsung and gmail accounts

Try searching a little bit more/harder next time, there is information about this bug in the forum. It's a minor bug, it's just a display issue, relax your serial number is not gone. It was fixed on the latest build LQ3 I reckon.

Did you use Odin or Kies to update? You could just use Odin to flash a newer version if you don't care about increasing your binary counter.

Dont worry mate same problem i faced when i updated 4.0.4 for my i9100. when i downgraded to 4.0.3 it was back even in custom ROMs also i got back my serial number.
Have the same problem..already downgraded to 4.0.3..s/n appear 0000000...than flash again with 4.1.2..still no luck..change to de8263y399ce somethin' like that..

Please just go to settings > about device> software updates> check for updates. You need to be connected to the internet for this . If kk has been released in ur area , then it will be downloaded and installed on your phone . Hope this helps .

It means Kitkat hasn't been released in ur area. But , to avail kikat you have to wait a little time . If the other areas are having kitkat , then you will have have it too . Just wait a little bit .
If you want to flash the complete firmware you always can always look in Sammobile site. There are several there from I believe 4-5 difference countries for your phone GT-i9200. Pic the one that belongs to you.
