anybody else get this problem? even with the option ticked in winamp it loads the default program, even after uninstalling that it still doesnt work! anybody fixed it?
I guess it's just because WinAmp isn't compatible with ICS yet, they'll probably fix it soon™
weird that.
according to the change log it is?

Hey,
I've had the Vibrant for a couple months now but its been having a weird sound issue as of late where the sound just dies.
The sound stops working randomly and its frustrating because I don't know what causes it. Whats odd is that he ringtones still work if I go to test them in the Sound settings (only the stock ringtones) but all other media doesn't work. Jukefox tells me the music file type is unsupported and the on-phone music player tries to play them then skips to the next over and over.
The only solution I have for this currently is to reboot the phone then the sound works for a random amount of time before it happens again. The only way I find out is when someone calls me and it vibrates instead of the ringtone.
Any ideas? This is quite frustrating. I've also done a factory reset and the problem persists. I'm under the impression it might be a 3rd party app.
Hi,
I'm running Comm Rom 2.0 with the MIUI music app. I can connect my music to my stereo via bluetooth with no problems, but I can't switch tracks using the stereo controls. My sister has a stock, unrooted Fascinate and the controls are responsive for hers. I've also tried using the default music player and that didn't seem to change things on my end. Other threads with different phones on the matter don't seem to have any definitive solutions either. I'd really appreciate it if someone had an idea of what's going on with my phone. Thanks.
My MIUI music lockscreen (next/previous) controls aren't working either. Pause toggle works fine though. Also tried simulating Next and Previous Media buttons with Tasker and that's unresponsive too while pause is fine.
I tried restoring nandroid to when I remember it working but it doesn't look like its changed anything. Is something conflicting with something?
My phone was overheating and locking up while using bluetooth. I plan on trying it again with my latest rom. I will check and see if I can switch tracks.
Thanks, let me know how it turns out.
I guess I should probably rephrase the question. Has anyone running Comm Rom 2.1 with or without MIUI have trouble switching tracks via universal media buttons with lockscreen or external controls?
check out this app: Media Button Router (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...cm9pZC5tYnIiXQ..)
that should fix it
Link isn't working... but more importantly did you realize this thread is almost 2 years old now? It's more than likely he's resolved it by now...
Does anyone else have a problem with eclipse and bluetooth? I use a bluetooth stereo headset to listen to music and after a few minutes it cuts out and I have to reboot.
I use Bluetooth in my car and it works well. Not sure if its the same for headphones though.
Eclipse 2.0.2
I just sbf'd back to 2.3.4 and installed eclipse 1.3. going to see if that corrects it
I have a bluetooth stereo and I have disconnect issues as well on gbp7...not sure what the deal is, but I think it's the stereo cause the phone shows still connected and the audio doesn't get rerouted back to phone. You don't have to reboot, just toggle bt off then on. Plus the problem is random.
I never modified anything with the bt is why I think it's the stereo, but I ciudad be wrong. Ima try to get a log and see what the deal is.

So far music hasn't cut out...I believe it has something to do with v2.02 or the 2.3.5 update
2.03 is out now...
Maybe that will help ur issues?

Not to bust this, but on my end at least, I know I didn't mess up updating the device.
and the Eclipse 2.0.3 update does not change anything to bluetooth..
But I found the Problem.
By chance do you use Google Music as your default music app?
Anyway, I do and the problem is with that app(or maybe its in another setting which I doubt cause the problem persists on GBP7.)
Explanation:
I use a Bluetooth cd player in my car and I use google music to stream to my stereo. Every now and then I lose sound output on my CD Player(although both show connected). The problem would arise whether it was playing local music or streaming from google music. At first thought it was my phone, then I flashed Eclipse to test it out for a lil bit and the problem persisted. So I moved on to thinking it was the Stereo. Well, this morning I was at work(still am..) and I was listening to my music via ear plugs. I ended up getting a random "stop" although the music progress bar was still moving... I changed songs and still had no output. HERES THE KICKER!! I turned the volume up with the keypad and BAM! the sound started to produce out of my precious ear plugs....
I haven't had time to test this with the bluetooth stereo yet, but the problems had IDENTICAL symptoms, so I'm assuming this will work.
The random MUTE of the app is odd, and very random. Sometimes it wont do it for HOURS and then sometimes it will do it every 2 minutes or so. But for now, try to increase the volume(you can do this while screen is off if using Google Music, not sure about others) and see if it solves the issue for now. I will look into it and test with another music app(probably winamp) and see if the problem arises. If so, then I'll look into the system configuration and see if the problem is there. I know I didn't change any bluetooth settings in my ROM, and I haven't noticed any changes by Nitro in Eclipse. So this leads me to think its an APP problem.
I use juice defender and other custom settings for battery life, but I know for a fact those aren't the problems, so if anyone reading this looks into the issue, the problem is either Google Music or in the system configuration. So don't go looking into Juice Defender or other apps to be the problem.
Disregard...I am blind
Like stated.... It's not another app interfering.... Dsp manager is not on gbp7...

hi all, its my first post :3
I've got an Huawei um840 with froyo 2.2,is pretty cool but it has a little issue with the headset volume while playing music (its so low)
the interesting thing, when I turn on the radioFM and Poweramp (or another music player) at same time, the headset volume increases 40%!! does somebody know why is it happen?
can I create the "hwVolumeFactor.cfg" myself? I triend to find it on "/system/etc" to edit the file, but it doesn't exist there..
I've tried installing Android eclair and Android Gingerbread with dsp manager, but It didn't fix the problem, I've tried rewriting Audiofiler.cvs but nothing too.
really thanks I really would like to fix this missed cause I love this phone
I'm having an issue with my bluetooth audio all of the sudden not working. I've paired to bluetooth devices in my car and Bluetooth headphones and everything was working fine up until this weekend, now I don't get any music audio unless I disable the phone audio in bluetooth settings. I'm running stock Marshmallow and I've went in and disabled permissions for phone and microphone for any app that wouldn't logically need. I booted into Safe Mode and things worked normally but I can't figure out how to isolate a particular app that might be causing it, if that is the problem. I also tried reseting Network Settings in Backup and Restore but that force closes everytime. I Uninstalled all the apps that updated over the weekend thinking an update might have caused it but it's still there. Can't seem to find this particular issue documented anywhere else. Any ideas?
Sorry, should have posted this in Help and Troubleshooting. Don't know if there's a way to move it...
First off do you have the app "gasbuddy" installed by chance? if so try freezing or uninstalling it.
Otherwise you might have to just go through and use something like titanium backup to freeze a bunch of apps you think might be the culprit, if freezing those doesn't do anything then start freezing one by one until it starts working to find it. (This is the way I figured out gasbuddy was causing a giant wakelock for bluetooth on my phone :/)
Also yea this probably does belong in Q&A.
voxer? There's a setting in voxer that breaks BT audio
Try unpairing and re-pairing your phone. My friend had this issue with his N5 and Toyota Highlander.
