i have created boot animation but when i insert it through Root explorer, it doesnt show on reboot. Permissions are also changed to rw-r--r-- . Samsung Galaxy y logo appears. Which file should be deleted?????
N 1 more thing, the poweron music is not playing of its full length, only half song is played. Pls help.

Hello
For all the stock user's out there who are tired of samsung or operator logo boot animation ... and never managed to get rid of her ... those day's are over!
There's only a few things you need:
- A Thinking Brain
- A Pair of Eyes
- An Ace with Root
- Root Explorer
Now let´s go ( I've tried this my self and works like a charm, I'm running Stock DDQ8 at the moment )
First of all if you have CWM mode installed you should do a backup just in case, if you don't have CWM make sure you follow all the steps properly!
Download Both File in Attachment and extract them ... !ATTENTION! These are not flashable zip files!
Now:
- Put both files in your SD Card
- With Root Explorer Copy both file to System\Bin and replace the files that are already there, set permission on both file's to: rwxr-xr-x (just like the image below) (If you don't set permission you'll be stucked in a boot loop!)

- Then choose whatever boot animation you want ( I leave a link to a thread with boot animations for our ace below 8D )
BOOTANIMATION
- Rename the whichever boot animation you've downloaded to bootanimation.zip, put in your SD Card and with root explorer move it to System\Media ( Delete the qmg files on that directory) and set the permission's to rw-r--r-- and all of that should look like the image's below!
And it's done now just reboot your phone!
Now some other things!
There is no way to change boot off animation but there's a way to not see her!
If you wanna get rid of boot off animation just go to System\ Media\ Video\ Shutdown, and delete the qmg file in there
A couple of note's to all of u!
1st - To all of you that get an error "..... because the file system is read-only" you have to mount it in the top right corner. Just like the images below!
2nd - I am not responsible for any harm that your phone may suffer!

Open root explorer and copy bootanimation.zip from system/media/ and place it in your sd card. Whenever you want it back, just push it to /system/media...

i)makes sure that u have rooted and root explorer installed on your device
ii)open root explorer (mount as r/w)

Nice boot animation but when I reboot my phone doesn't have time to play the entire animation because the phone boot time is smaller than the animation. Is there any way to make the animation faster?

btw, for 'part6', did u mean the 'part6 folder' or the sixth part? coz in fact the 'part6 folder' is set to run at the very begining, which shows a fade in google logo

in the mean time, may be you can read this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31833122&postcount=4, which shows you the steps for enabling custom animation if it is not supported by your rom natively. i've examined one of his scripts and it looks ok, but pls do ensure u understand what u r going to do before u made any changes to your system.

Awesome Notification Backgrounds :thumbup: in 720*1280
Tutorial
Things you need:
your pc, a zip archiver(i recommand winrar) , keyboard with working ctrl,C,V buttons and a image.
1. first of all pull the systemui.apk from /system/app
2. open it in winrar.(Dont extract)
3. change the image name to notification_panel_bg.9.png
3. copy the image(the image should be in 720*1280 resolution or otherwise it wont fit perfectly).
4. Go to res folder.
5. paste the above image in following folders-(for pasting use ctrl+v because it the right button of mouse wont work)-
Drawable-hdpi
Drawable-xhdpi
Drawable-sw600dp-hdpi
Drawable-sw600dp-xhdpi
6. every time you paste the image it will ask you to update the archive just press ok.
7. now either you can push the apk in /system/app and change the permissions to rw-r-r. or just download any of above zip and replace my systemui.apk with your systemui.apk , flash via CWM
8. most important press the damn thanks button.:thumbup::beer:

Hi,
Bro this is not working for canvas 4 stock rom for canvas Hd. I flashed and i m getting error since then. Error " system UI HAS SSTOPPED.

Yep.. Not working on canvas 4 rom..i mean giving error..
That rom is a deodexed one.. Tried joker deodexed.. Giving error system ui has stopped.. Have to restore my backup
