**urgent help** - Optimus One, P500, V General

I updated the clockworkmod recovery through the rom manager. after rebooting my phone is stuck at a screen saying
Fastboot mode started
udc_start()
i cant enter the recovery or the rom
Please Help..

Solved
so far this is the only solution i guess..
put to emergency mode..
flash the v20g rom as instructed below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1141490&highlight=v20g
Some got out of it using KDZ updater as well...but the above one worked for me..
You get the CMW 3. something
flash the amon ra recovery
from here
http://www.mediafire.com/?sfq1aq793vdo4
Then install any custom rom you wan to using the recovery...
P.S. Do not install the 5.0.2.7 by any chance..i tried it twice to see if i made a mistake...but it is buggy and your phone might get bricked...

Dear Ankit,
Dont panic, just download anreboot or any reboot app from market. They will give you an option to boot into recovery I think while pressing the key combo (power on+vol dwn+home) something went wrong, pls try again.

If u press home and power keys alone , u will enter fastboot mode.. just remove the battery put it back and then press power+home+vol down properly ..

No need to panic
The same thing happened for me, and I could recover my phone through KDZ. Just search for that, and I'm sure you'll find it out.
Make sure you read all the instructions carefully, install the required drivers, and disable LGE Virtual Modem before you proceed. It took a few tries to get KDZ see my phone, but once KDZ recognized my phone, it restored the stock firmware and my phone was booting!
If KDZ doesn't recognise the phone after many times, enter the emergency mode by pressing back+vol down+ power, when the phone is off. That could help.
Unfortunately for some people, KDZ has not worked and the method with LGMDP worked for them:You can also try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1324105
And, remember, many users have faced the same problem, and various threads explaining these steps already exist. No offence meant, but do search the forums before posting next time. Just for keeping the place clean and tidy.
All the best!

Thank you for the reply..but the phone was bricked. So there was no option to download any application from the market.
And i also searched for the solution in the forum...all i found was the KDZ method....so i tried that as well....but that did not help either ( no explanation why) ..... so once i got it on my own...i taut posting the solution would be a good idea...
anyways Thank you all for replying.

i rooted using z4root , i believed its 1.3.0 version ?
and after that i went on to dl rom manager and flash CWM.
it asked me to identify the phone model.
it gave me around 5 options ? but none was the lg optimus one.
its has huawei etc etc , dell streak & geeksphone.
out of curiousity i chose and dell streak and was only able to flash CWM 2.5.X.X
after that i went on to dl mik os kernel to try and solve the lag issue. then i reboot into recovery in an attempt to flash the kernel then it hangs on the lg logo. so help anyone ? =(
i just bought this phone

thanks alot for responding !!
im at my wits end, and everything i keep refreshing the page, no one reply. until u.
thank thank
To acess recovery)(if u habe it) shut down o1 and after that press this 3 keys: menu + vol down + power ....after the lg zcreen appears release power button but keep presses the other two,and then u will go into recovwry(if u have it) from here u will install reco ery or flash a new rom.
If u don' t have custom recovery but still cam acces emergency u can try to use Kdz software to flash your oroginal firmware back.there is thread about doing this here.search "how to flash original firmware p500".i think The_error has a thread about this.also u can try to search" phone not responding, last chance to repair".

what u mean by if you have it ? as in the recovery.
OK..You need to access recovery via 3 key combo:Shutdown the phone, then pres the Menu key+Volume down key+Power button. When The phone started release power button , but keep pressed the other 2, and then you will enter the recovery. Is it clear until now? After you have entered the recovery go to backup/restore and select restore( if u have made a backup in the first place) if not you must flash a new kernel or a new rom, but don't forget to wipe everything first.

LG P500 Hanging on LG Logo
Hi (my first post),
I tried to change my ROM from 2.2.1 to 2.2 V10G for rooting abilities. I received an error message while the screen was in "Emergency Mode!!" and then KDZ_FW_UPD said "FINISHED". Here are the last few lines from the log:
TYPE_LPARAM_UPGRADE_ERROR_WRITE_TO_FLASH
[21:26:15:103] : WM_COPYDATA ¸Þ½ÃÁö º¸³¿ 3 - Close Port
[21:26:15:103] : Close Port<<
[21:26:15:103] : TYPE_WPARAM_UPGRADE_ERROR
[21:26:15:103] : ¸Þ½ÃÁö º¸³¿ - TYPE_WPARAM_UPGRADE_ERROR Error Code = 500
[21:26:15:146] : Log finished
The phone never rebooted and was stuck in Emergency Mode for 15-20 minutes, so I pulled the battery and tried a hard reset, but the phone doesn't do anything but hang on the LG logo. Any suggestions?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
update: Can't reinstall V10V with KDZ because it doesn't see the phone.
update 2: Used KDZ for V10G in emergency mode with phone in emergency mode (back button + volume up + power)...now we're all good. Thanks.

THE BEST WAY TO COME OUT OF IT IS TO FLASH VIA KDZ FLASHER USE V10B FILE http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata...00/V10B_00.kdz AS IT CAN BE ROOTED http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=883314

Hi!
There's no such thing as bricked phone
Just try to read carefully before doing anything, please.
Now read this post and proceed as follows: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=875881
It should get you up an running in notime. Just reply here if you need any help.
as others have suggested , downgrade to 10B with the given app and all should be fine , also the part where you said it hangs in the LG logo screen is a know issue with Mik's ROM , search in his forum and you will see the solution ( its a file you need to flash before you flash the actual ROM ) also you havent told us wich costum recovery you are using ( best one i think is the Thunderg 1.2.1 )
Be sure to wipe EVERTHING( from the costum recovery interface ) before you flash the new ROM specialy when you go from a 2.2 to a 2.3
I'm confused the phone will not do anything but stay on LG screen. No recovery notta.

Without recovery, the only way you can choose is to send it back for warranty, cry for repairing
That's the risk we faced.
==
By the way, I've heard that someone bricked his phone and got a new one for free here in Taiwan. Seems like that they forgot to check the firmware D
can you access the emergency mode?
ive been stuck with lg logo couple of times,
but still im able to access recovery,
if emerency mode is working, try to reflash using 10B.kdz
this is my first post, using ROM manager (clockworkmod) i tried to back up my current ROM my device(LG P500) was not listed in the selection screen so i chose LG Ally ( i know it has become a blunder now, i think
the phone won't go past the LG LOGO at the start LG logo appears and just with a few seconds goes off and the phone does nothing
if i put it for charging the menu, back, home, search buttons and the LG logo keeps flashing every few seconds
i can't go into recovery already tried it many times, KDz updater won't recognize my phone it says phone not found(windows doesn't detect it either)..the phone won't go past the LG logo
so is this whats called a bricked phone ? and will i get service for this ? i will beg them for warranty but they will repair this right?
PS:i'm sorry this had to be my first post, and i hope i have not posted this at the wrong place
Adren022, put your phone in emergency mode. See previous posts. You should still be able to use KDZ updater to flash V10B (I flashed V10G).
I don't think clockworkmod works on the P500. Try using thunderg for recovery. See "Installing a custom recovery" here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1007244
you should of flashed a custom recovery try one start up pressing the power button, volume down, and home button at the same time till recovery

I think that's misleading. That will cause a hard reset of the ROM (losing all apps and settings) if Thunderg (or Clockwork for some) isn't installed first. It happened to me.

[Q] How to restore from Nandroid Backup (fcked up my Galaxy S2)

So, today I rooted my new Galaxy S2 and installed CWM Recovery via Odin to install a custom rom. I found a rom and installed it but I didn't liked it so I was looking for CWM app in phone to go to recovery and rewrite it but I couldn't find it. I opened Odin again and installed CWM Recovery again (and than I f*cked up my phone ...) but after that phone didin't turned on it was just showing bootscreen img. I couldn't turn it on, but it was functional (when I plugged it to PC via USB screen showed that it's power upping (bad english :s)) and I was able to enter Odin Mode so i rewrited a different ROM ( I tought it would help) and it helped actually, but not fully. When I turned the phone on it loaded successfully but everything was very laggy and bugged and only 10-30% of apps was working (other "has stopped working"). I don't know anymore what to do, how to fix this sh*t... I tried to enter a recovery (vol down + power) and restore everything from Nandroid backup, but phone just turned on... Who could tell me how to fix it??? :S
P.S. Sorry for my bad english and I hope everyone could understand my msg, if now - just ask :|
EDIT: Fixed

lol its because i had a similar instance on a 7inch tab that seemed to have no recovery at all and the touchscreen had shifted about an inch left in responsive reaction and adb ,shell , and no hard reset method anywhere on the net... methods from all devices can incite ways to fix others eh?
i dont understand
Neither do I? This thread is how old? What are you looking for here?
I think I can clarify
The OP to this thread made the mistake of assuming that in order to do the restore to his original rom, that he needed the CWM app on the new rom. When really you just need to put the phone in recovery mode. (hold vol buttons and power buttons after phone is powered down). Obviously technique to do so is make/model specific. Or, as a previous post says, the mistake may have been not knowing which buttons to push properly to enter recovery mode. Either way, it is an easy mistake for someone new to make.
I made the same mistake when I did my first restore. I just thought it would be useful information in case someone else comes to this thread with the same problem.
Just to clarify - If you need to restore to a previous image that you backed up with CWM Rom Manager. Put the phone in recovery mode and the option is there. Don't look for the option in the ROM Manager application you used to create the back up image.

[Q] Recovery mode through PC

Hi guys, I have a Samsung Galaxy S Plus where, after flashing CWM with Odin, and installing cm11, I don't know why,I'm stuck on an infinite boot animation. But that is not the big issue. I need to enter Recovery Mode, where I have a backup, but the problem is that my Volume Up button is not working, so I can't use the Power Button and Volume Up(I also don't know what could possibly wrong with it, if you could help me also with that, it would be awesome ) one to get there. So I was wondering if there is some other method to enter Recovery, I suppose by computer. I think that when I used Odin, the device restarted being in Download Mode, and I think that it hasn't to be On to do that. I hope I'm not wrong.
Thanks
And sorry if someone already asked that

[Q] Loop problems

Hey guys i got a slight problem.
I had the Android Revolution HD Rom and i was trying to install another one , it really wasnt my first time doing this however this time a problem occurred.
My volume side buttons are not working so i couldnt get into recovery mode using them also on top of that the rom itself didnt have the option to go to recovery when turning off the phone.
I downloaded the Quick boot tool apk from Playstore and used it to go to recovery... I WISH I DIDNT
now my phone when turned on shows samsung logo and it goes to recovery and quickly goes back to the logo and loops in that way...
Is there anyway to access the download mode without pressing them sidebuttons, i even tried ODIN but it cant recognize the phone because it keeps looping...
I am clueless now and any help would be appreciated.
Sorry for spelling or any typos i am really angry atm.

It doesn’t sound good then. Please read again threads like this on how to recover from a bootloop. If you really can’t access neither recovery or download mode using adb, that’s out of my knowledge, and you might need to read about how to fix a hard brick. There’s a thread about that in these stickies.

i managed to get into download mode however prior the brick i didnt enable developer mode on the phone and now the pc cannot recognize it when connected.
Developer switch is irrelevant to download mode, search the many threads on things to try to get Odin connected.
