Any way to automaticly display e-mail images with out having to push the display images button every time ? Thanks in advance
I just asked the same question. I did a search and didn't find this one. I'm sure I'll get flamed for that one. I feel it's a pain having to press this every time.

Just get a different email app. Some apps have more options than others.

I am using GMX Mail. When you touch display images/pictures it will pop up if you want to do this for all email from that contact. I know that is not quite what you are looking for but if you get emails frequently from same sender may help.

I keep having issues with emails showing up in it. I understand html emails, I have to hit the button for but text emails show nothing sometimes too. Anyone know why? I have the receiving at Max.

IMHO the stock email app sucks, switch to K-9. It actually works.
Will do. Trying it now. See what I think. Thank you

On the ROMs with quick reply built in for texting we need to be able to have the keyboard come up automatically when quick reply is pressed rather than just having the pop up menu display and then having to tap the text line to make the keyboard appear. Its an annoying and un-necessary extra step.
The question then is where do we start? I'm willing to devote some time to this.

Hmm I guess I thought I was in q&a when I posted this. Oh well damage done.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
I agree. The only benefit of it is that it doesn't close whatever app you are in, some apps close if you open the messaging tabs.

Nah I don't want to go to the messaging app itself. If you look at imei's quick reply the popup and keyboard both automatically pop up and overlay on the current window when the quick reply is hit. Ours is the same except the keyboard doesn't pop up automatically. That's what needs to change
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
The ROM I'm on the quick reply pops up and you hit the messaging field and start typing....all without going to messaging. You have the option but I still stick with quick reply.

No that's the point. You have to hit the message field to get the keyboard to come up. Why? The fact that I hit quick reply inherently means I want to type something back. Where did I say anything once about going into the text app?

Idk if I just read that reply wrong but it seems like you're being a demanding ass. I realize u didn't say anything about going into the app itself....I was just simply throwing that out there. So what you are wanting is the ability to receive a message and the keyboard automatically pop up or when u click the recieved message from the notification drawer, hit quick reply, and the keyboard pop up? The first part would be annoying as an iPhone and the second part is already in a ROM that I'm using. But with your attitude, good luck finding it and getting a dev to work on it.

Not here or any where within the XDA Community, will this be tolerated, Closed and dealt with .
I want to be able to copy something on my screen using the S Penn, you know like when you draw a circle around something and it copies to your clipboard. And then I want to paste it into my message my gmail app . This possible? Sorry for the poor grammar the voice to text is not working too well right now.

Haven't really tried it much yet but I press the s-pen button and hold it, circle the object and it copy's to clipboard in gallery under screenshots. I can find it in the gallery and when long pressing the image I can choose the messaging, gmail etc. icon and send it in text, or while in text I can tap the paperclip and find it in gallery.
Hope that makes sense and I didn't read your question wrong.
Happy Holidays
That helps, thanks for that. In gmail on the PC you can just do ctrl v while you are typing your message and it will show the image in the message Instead of down below as an attachment. Any way to do that? If not, no big deal.

cool!
Haven't had mine hooked up yet to the PC since mine is a dinosaur (PC that is!)
I doubt the N2 will allow you to do the same as on your PC, but if it can I'm sure someone will chime in. Still should show though as the actual pic instead of an attachment that you have to open on the N2
Peace!!
Has anyone ever seen a hack to force the email app to always display images? Having to hit the damn button for every freaking email drives me nuts ..

Some of us can't use Gmail for our work email.
So this is my first HTC phone and for the most part I am loving it. However, there are two things that I hate. For starters, on a Phone such as the Galaxy s4 or the iPhone, I am able to view who sent me a text on the lockscreen or who sent me a text even when the phone is secured. Now on the HTC m8, I dont get to see any of that. All I see is the number of notifications above the phone app or the messaging app. Also, I hate the fact that if I go into the texting app to view a few messages but not all of them, it will then clear the icon in the notification panel as well as the indicator above the app icon itself. It really makes it super easy to forget if I had any extra text or not.
Check settings lock screen, the m7 had a lockscreen view that showed texts. Haven't got my m8 yet to see if it's still there.

Try using google handouts instead of the standard texting app
You can view text messages on the lock screen. You have to enable it in the settings.

Go to Settings, then Security and click notification settings under lockscreen. I am using Sense 6.0 on the M7 but it should be the same. I actually liked the way this was handled on Sense 5.5 better than 6.
