Radar HSPL problem - HTC Radar

I got a radar just this week and I have been trying to hack it with HSPL. When ever I run the RUU I get to 4% and then the program stops and says my MID is not supported. I have a 2.4SPL PI06110 T-Mobile Radar phone and it says it is supported. Is there a way to let it update it even if it says it isn't supported?

Same happened with mine too....same SPL .... stuck at 4 % and then INvalid Vendor ID Error 294 i guess ... !! USed RUU
Can't use Gold card method ( No expenses)

If your MID is not supported than you cannot use HSPL. You should report your MID to cotulla dft team as they said so in the first post of DFT HSPL topic
Sent from my Radar C110e using XDA Windows Phone 7 App

At the moment Goldcard is your only option to get to SPL2.5 if the RUU doesn't work. I know Cotulla is working to try and find a workaround, but don't expect anything right away.
Goldcard materials (cable,adapter,4gb usb stick) only cost me $15 with shipping & handling from amazon. Be aware that not all Y-cables are the same.

why my phone is always experiencing error 260 - Connection, I have to restart the phone and notebook, but still an error, there is a solution?
what time do the update using the RUU, phone alive or what?

try this
hello sir may be this can work
first put your radar in spl mode by holding power+volumeup+down, then first try it with a pc via ruu if it fails then try y cable u can made it by ur self
it is easy, watch this

My 7500 with 6.5 on it...please help.

I'm new on the forum, very informative but I could'nt find an answer to this situation. I have a HTC Advantage 7500 that originally came with mobile 5 on it and last year I successfully upgraded it to mobile 6. Couple of days ago I wanted to try something new so I upped it to 6.5 via a link on this site somewhere. The rom update went smoothly but I would like to go to 6.1 because for one the micro drive is not seen under the 6.5 that I have plus it has a slow response to screen manuvers and such. Now when I try to install mobile 6 or 6.1 it says please wait while the update takes place but my device restarts and the error #260 box comes up that says the update utility cannot connect to your PDA phone. Please check your USB connection. I would appreciate any help or suggestions. I know maybe I was wrong to try the mobile 6.5 on this. confused:
Since you are able to use 6.5, (it was a spl 3.5 version unless you
had found and used a spl 1.2) your phone should be having spl 3.5.
You need to search and download 6.1 spl 3.5 rom to change it.
Oh...Welcome!!

Thanks for your reply. I do now have the file 6.1 spl 3.5 but my device on 2 separate computers it just starts the update restarts my 7500 then the error message about USB connection. I didnt get this error the last 2 times I updated my device. Thanks in advance.
Taking it your pc (Windows XP) with anti virus and firewall disable.
Try flash back previous rom and have the device working first before going
any further.
Best to use same usb cable and port from same computer for your flashing. It helps to isolate problems in future.
Ensure device battery charge is above 60%, at least.
Remove SIM and memory cards before flashing.
I am sorry to hear that you're having problems with your device......however, the problem you've mentioned sounds quite familiar to me but I don't remember how I actually got mine fixed.
I have no idea what OS you're using but
try this:
re-installing activesync/device center then put your device in bootload mode (by holding down the camera button...fully....then press the reset button, keep holding camea button until the colored screen comes up. connect your phone to your computer and let it install the usb drivers.
after thats done, unplug, wait....replug and start up acticesync/device center make sure they're connected/synced then try changing the rom again.
hope that helps.
Thank you all so much. I did these things and it still restarts and goes right back in mobile 6.5 giving that same error message #260 box comes up that says the update utility cannot connect to your PDA phone. Please check your USB connection. Can it be a bad usb cable I'm using I wonder? Interesting my SPL version right now is 1.10.
that's the problem...your SPL should be 3.5 if you're on wm6.5. it is interesting that you got that instead of "invalid Model id" error. all in all I think the same method should solve your problem.
do a search for "invalid model id" and check out the post by cmonex she did a great job in creating a salutation. hopefully you had Hard SPLed your phone and that you had a home network that you had connected your phone so you can get back your phone's MAC address.
EDIT:
Also change your USB cable....I don't trust it, it's possible that it could be the problem. however, seen as your SPL isn't what it should be it the cable is not the problem (but change it anyway)

Thanks so much! I will do this. I wonder why I have a spl 1.10? This is confusing with Win Mobile 6.5?

[Q] Unable to flash any ROM!

Hello,
I'm about six hours into the process of trying to revive a nonfunctional HD2 that I purchased. I'm going batty!
Here is my status:
1) have installed SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE (0x05, 0x40) Cotulla HSPL
2) Have downloaded a few different roms (Chucky, TMO official, Energy) but they either get stuck at 0% or 9% (the highest it's gotten)
I'm getting pretty good at pulling the battery - it's like a new skill I never hoped to have!
I'm getting pretty frustrated because I've read about a hundred different posts on this site and I see that people are getting around this, but I'm starting to wonder if my phone has an issue that I can't resolve?
The phone doesn't boot up at all - it just says "Upgrade ROM code error, Please try again". Prior to my goofing with it, it just got stuck at the "Stick Together" screen. (Unwittingly bought it that way)
If I use the HSPL3_PKG to install/remove HSPL, it only works (connects to the phone) about one out of ten times, and out of the ~ten times I have gotten it to work, it only completed twice with a "We Hacked It" screen. The rest of the time it errors out just as I think it's getting the job done.
If I boot to the bootloader screen, I can put the USB cable in and see it change from Serial to USB (I've tried the thick and thin cables as some have suggested and haven't noticd a difference yet)
Then I kick of a rom update using the update utility that comes packed with it, and either the update process stops at 0% or it has made it all the way to 9%.
I'm in a position to get a replacement from TMO via the person who bought it (two for one, wife didn't like it, I bought it off of him) but I would rather not.
Any suggestions?

Once you have Hard-SPL on the device you don't need to worry about that anymore. Flashing Roms and radios will not overwrite it, that's what makes it "Hard". To make sure it's on there go into bootloader and it should show 2.08.hspl.
As for the radio, for TMOUS, just make sure it's a x.xx.50.xx radio (not a .51) and you'll be fine. If you have radio 2.10.50.xx you shouldn't have to change it.
So now I would try downloading one of the stock shipped Tmo ROMs (2.13 or 2.14). Then remove Sim and SD and go into bootloader, connect USB to PC and make sure it says USB on the device (not serial) and run the ROM Update Utility (RUU.exe). See if that works.
i also got this problem ,will try ur method n c
after hspl ,cant flash finish radio 2.14 it says ERROR (290) INVALID COMMAND.

You need HSPL..
HSPL done ,i tried a lot of files only Miri & Dinik n Duttys Leo Sense file can b flash successfully ,it went into menu once but now hang at htc startup again,,is this hardware problem?
i had the same problem last week. Drove me nuts.
i found there are more than one version of HPSL 3.
you have to download the latest one. for more info,
read my posts at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=789506&page=18
So you need HardSPL3 (the version is DarkForces Team HardSPL3 by bepe and Cotulla 21.06.2010)
If it still doesnt work, take a photo and post your screen
Still no go...
I have installed SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE (0x05, 0x40) Cotulla HSPL, the latest version I could find.
I just tried to flash RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_3.14.531.0_Radio_15.42.50.09U_2.14.50.04_LEO_1.5_Ship and it consistently flakes out at 8%.
I charged the phone all night, booted to the tricolor screen, kicked off the update as an administrator in Win7, the phone got to 8% and then the update flaked out on the PC - "The ROM update encountered communication errors during the update process" (Error [276])
I genuinely think that this phone is bunk - I'm just going to have the fellow I bought it from call in for a warranty replacement.
Thanks for your help, everyone...
SD card flash...
Hi,
I could not see it anywhere in this thread, and also I'm not certain if it is possible on a HD2. But on my xperia I'm usualy flashing from a SD card, copy the image over rename it as KOVSIMG.NBH (guess it would be something like LEOROM.NBH).
Than by pressing (and holding) volume down + power button while the device is off going to the boatloader screen which detects the card (must be inserted and flash from it IF there is the correct file loaded on the card.
Dude,
Did you actually download the HardSPL3 version from DarkForces Team?
If not, dont second guess anything. And if it works, you'll get your phone back.
The file name to download is "HSPL3_PKG.exe". Its by bepe and Cotulla 21.06.2010
If you downloaded the right version. it will support ALL LEO types, and all the SPL versions below:
SPL 1.42.0000
SPL 1.62.0000
SPL 1.66.0000
SPL 2.07.0000
SPL 2.08.0000
SPL 2.10.0000
you just select which SPL version to install in the Choose SPL screen. This version also disables the CID Check.
Dont knock it before you try it ..
+1

Yes you are correct you can flash via SD card. You need a 4GB or lower SD card. This is not to say other higher GB SD card will not work, it is just that it has been stated many times the higher SD cards sometimes work to flash a ROM and sometimes don't. The card needs to be formatted with Fat 32. You have to find the RUU_(wharever).nbh and rename it to leoimg.nbh ( you almost got it righ tsnoffy lol) and copy it to your SD card. insert SD card into phone and hold the volume down botton down anx tap the power button keep holding the volume down button down until you see bootloader come up and say searching then let go of the volume down button. The ROM will flash.

[Q] Stuck on Update Failed after attempt to revert to stock ROM via SD

Note: I've seen a few similar threads with a problem like mine, but my HD2 is showing different error messages, so I thought I'd start a new thread to avoid making things worse.
---------------------------------
So I purchased a second hand HTC HD2 pretty cheap. It's the 512HD2 and it came flashed with a MIUI Android with a Samsung Galaxy S2-ish interface. Problem was, the battery got drained way too quickly, even from the most minimal usage, so I though I should flash back to the stock OS and get my problem solved so I could use the HD2 as a primary phone.
Here's what I did:
1. I followed jayceooi's tutorial.
2. I downloaded a ROM Update for HTC HD2 (3.14.405.2) from HTC's Official HD2 download page.
3. I opened up the .exe, got the .nbh, renamed it correctly, put it on the SD card and then verified it's really there with an Android file manager.
4. VolDown + PowerButton and I got to the rainbow menu thing (I know, I'm a noob and I don't know how it's called) then I let go of the keys and got to the update screen.
5. PowerButton - Update begins
6. 30 seconds later, only after about 1/4 of the bar had progressed, I got a black screen, and then a screen that says "Software update failed. Please try again". Afterwards the gray screen saying "Loading... 00028002 not allow". Finally, back to the RGB screen I got:
HX-BC
SPL-3.03.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x40
And If i try to enter the boot mode via VolDown+PowerButton I get:
RUUNBH
HX-BC
SPL-3.03.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x40
Update ROM code error
Please try again
Serial
---------------------------------
Should I try a USB flash or something?
Thanks in advance.
?
Nobody?
Update:
I tried to upgrade from 3.03.0000 SPL to the 3.03.0000 HSPL via USB in the boot mode, but I got a critical error and nothing happened on the device whatsoever - same state as the post above.
Any ideas?
probably wrong stock rom used, (or did you use the phones correct serial to download the rom?)
enter bootloader (three coloured screen)
connect usb
run hspl4
choose 3.03.hspl
back into bootlaoder
connect usb
run the 3.14 rom over usb.
EDIT - just saw your edit about critical error, , ,win7 64bit? try different usb ports, and try a different pc if you have one available, , hspl can be a little picky.

Unfortunately I have only one laptop with a 32 bit Win7, but it's OLD and crapfull of viruses so I'm not risking any failures there.
Do you think it will be safe to HSPL over VMWare (virtual OS environment inside of windows)?
P.S.: Exact model is the HTC HD2 T8585. I checked it via an IMEI checker.
there's a very good chance that hspl wont flash from a virtual machine. (Something about not getting low enough level access to the usb or something).

Ok, in that case I'll probably go over at a friend's house and try an HSPL there. I'll come back with some results as soon as I'm done.
Halfway done?
OK, so I got a good Windows 7 32 bit laptop and tried out HSPL4.exe by DFT. I kept my fingers crossed and, thankfully, I got to the "We hacked it! " screen.
After successfully updating and removing the USB cable, the phone rebooted with the same "Software Update Failed" message, but this time the gray screen showed the Cancel/Allow for the leoimg on the SD. I pressed the power button to attempt a flash, but I got the same issue as last time.
After that, the VolDown + PowerButton STILL showed:
SPL-3.03.0000
Since I'm not that stupid (I hope) I figured that the ROM reverts SPL and Radio to normal and that's why there was no trace of the HSPL, so I went back to the laptop to go at another 3.03.0000 HSPL. This time, after I got the "We hacked it! " screen I cancelled the ROM update and thankfully the RGB screen now reads:
P81100 HX-BC
SPL-3.03.HSPL XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x40
IN SHORT - The HSPL was a success, now if you help me find the right ROM, I would owe you my life!
lol, i draw the line at advising roms, for example ive never used an android rom with sense, or a MIUI rom, and i havent used a winmo rom in about a year,, so it would be unfair of me to guide you.
ROM
Edit - Okay, thanks for all your help!
P.S.: I just ran an Task29 to get rid of the constant Software Update error at each boot and now I can boot into the RGB screen without the RUUNBH error so I think that will make things easier. I'll probably find the ROM myself or ask somewhere else.
Thanks again!!!
thanks

You saved my day. I was searching for my problem since 3 days and this has solved the problem
Finally Done!
@ParmakSokan - Hey! Looks like I'm not the only one samsamuel helped!
A little update - I finally have the phone in working condition! It is now running the stock Windows Mobile 6.5 specific for O2, since I figured out the device was purchased in the UK.
For anyone interested, I got the ROM from the official library of HD2 ROMs in 4shared, which I believe is held together thanks to xda-developers, so yeah - yet another KUDOS for that!
The HTC Sense UI is simply beautiful and I think I will actually stay with 6.5 for a few more months before considering 7.5 Mango.
P.S.: Moderators can mark the thread as solved.

[Solved] Half Bricked Titan I (AT&T)

Ok, half bricked it while trying to update SPL to 2.05 with goldcard...
I understand that a half brick is when you hold both volume buttons down on boot and neither serial nor usb show up in the spl screen. Between this and my inability to flash the SPL 2.05 (gets stuck at "Loading..." and takes several minutes to even get past "Load USB Host". I've left it at "Loading..." for an hour, no progess...)... I'm stuck and need help.
When I hold the volume down button at boot and connect to Zune, I get this error: c101002e
I've read that this can be solved with the windows phone support tools... but MS's page also says not to use this on versions higher than 7.0.7something. Unfortunately I forced the update to 8107, so I don't want to find out what happens when you ignore the warning.
Basically everything is stock ATT except the forced update;
Radio:16.23.02.26_A_16.27.00.23U
SPL 1.10
Is there anything I can do to fix this? Please help
Update 1;
Tried to flash the SPL2.6 update from HTC using goldcard, no dice, gets stuck at "Loading..."
Tried to flash the Eternity cingular stock rom, once again, stuck at "Loading..."
I think I'm beginning to see a pattern; USB host works as far as reading the SD card, but beyond that it fails...
Update 2;
I wonder if I can reapply the firmware through cab sender? I would need firmware cabs for the htc titan, preferably ones that are compatible with the new hspl! I can't find any, been searching for hours...
Was the HSPL process successfully completed? Have you tried to put the phone back into USB com mode (camera + vol down + power) and putting the OSPL back on?
You're the first I've heard having this problem. Since you're using the Gold Card Method, I assume that your phone is a US AT&T Titan.
I hope you get it going.
---------- Post added at 04:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:07 PM ----------
Not sure if you visited this page or not, but here are the instructions for flashing the HSPL. Further down the 1st post you'll find how to un-install it. I would try that since it doesn't sound as if your flash was successful.
Here is the link to the actual gold card method, if you haven't seen that as well.
No, didn't even get to HSPL. The instructions say to flash SPL 2.05 first, which isn't working. I'm stuck on the stock 1.10 SPL.
No matter what I try, any combination of flashing the original stock ROM, the HTC SPL update, etc, goldcard always gets stuck at "Loading..." so I think it's safe to say goldcard is broken as well, unless someone knows a foolproof fix.
Camera + Volume Down + Power... I assume you mean USB Host mode which is just Camera + Volume Down at bootup (holding the power button causes the phone to reboot). USB Host mode is how you use gold card, and like I said, it gets stuck at "Loading...". It does in fact read my SD cards because I saw the blinking LED that signals activity on one of the USB to microSD readers I tried.
Moreover there is nothing to uninstall since I am unable to install anything. I can use the WP7 cab sender, if I could just get the bootloader in cab form I think this would solve my problems; I think the stock SPL became corrupted somehow and needs to be reflashed... and I do not know anything about JTAG
When you made your Gold Card, did it say success or give you a problem?
Are you using a multi card reader or a single card reader for your gold card?
it says success.
I've tried two microSD cards, and three different card readers. I have gotten the CID for each card and properly applied the CID to each card, and properly formatted each in fat32 several times...
I've tried using the HD2 in Magldr usb mass storage mode, HD2 in android mass storage mode, HD2 in windows mobile mass storage mode... they all appear to work as it gets as far as "Loading..."
Moreover I have a single card reader and a multi card reader.. each making no difference; stuck at "Loading..."
I have tried a hundred different combinations which all appear to be successful if not for the fact that I'm pretty sure my SPL is corrupted.
Wow, that really sucks! Sorry I can't help. I haven't even done it myself yet. My y-cable will be here hopefully Friday.
The only other thing I would make sure of if I were in your situation is looking at the pics in gold card method post, I see that the gold card is to be placed in the female end at the bottom of the Y. You never said whether you made your own cables or not, but if you did, maybe make certain that it is correctly done.
Damn, while I'm sorry for your situation, I sure hope that I'm not right there with ya when I attempt it. Keep us up-to-date and good luck.
Yeah I bought a new Titan off ebay already XD
However before I open it I'm going to see if I can convince HTC that it was pre existing (it probably was) and that I found out while I was trying to do the official SPL update from HTC using the tool on HTC's site (which is more or less true as well XD). I think I'm still under warranty.
And I was using this Y cable http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000JIOHDE/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i01
It works, I've tried it in various setups. It's actually really nice; the grey cable doesn't carry data so you can use your computer or laptop for power without worry. But I did in fact use a wall USB charger for goldcard, just in case.
But don't worry, I'm almost sure that this was pre existing; gold card/USB host mode behaved exactly the same from the start, the only thing that has changed is the fact that I can't get Serial / USB connections to show up in SPL anymore (nor can I hard reset from SPL). It worked correctly at least twice...
hey everyone, I fixed it.
USB host mode / gold card works; if you're stuck at "Loading" then your SD card is no good. I went around and tried every mass storage device in my house and found one that works, use the generic goldcard image from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24809318#post24809318
To get rid of f400 error you need to flash cotulla's ROM, the cingular stock rom did not fix it.
Goldcard SPL up to 2.05, USB worked.
Install HSPL via USB, if that doesn't work, install the stock ROM via USB and start over.
Once HSPL'd at 2.05 USB will NOT work, so you'll need to goldcard cotulla's ROM (remember to rename it from FINAL.nbh to ETERIMG.nbh)
profit.

It's been months since anybody has posted on this thread. There are two ROMs that set this process up. Depending on whether you have the x310a (American brand) or x310e (European). When this process is all said and done it reads x310e regardless where it came from. There is a Cingular 1.09 and an European 1.10...the key here is to downgrade the SPL from 2.05 to 1.09/1.10. Some Titans have lower SPLs depending where you're at. HTC's SPL update to 2.6 complicates this process. Think of as 3 major steps...one, downgrade to one of these ROMs, two, return to SPL205 via Goldcard and then apply DFT's HSPL. Step 2 took me forever to get right and the process is sneaky long...you think you failed but patience will be rewarded. There has been quite a lot of discussion in regards to "newer" Titan (Eternity) which the internal drive is set up in such a way that one is lead to believe it is corrupted or they've been setup like the Titan II (Radiant) which to date remains impossible to HSPL. You're better off using one of the older Titans (Eternity). A few of the links no longer get you the files you need and if they do I would encourage you to download everything that is there and read every tutorial carefully and then again; this isn't for the faint of heart. It's way, way harder than the HD2 or older HTC devices. Nor am I aware any device since the Eternities is HSPL capable other than maybe the Nokia Lumia 920 Developer Edition.

i managed to downgrade to official att rom,and got rid of f400 error, but the spl didn't downgrade...
I installed the rom 3 times with no luck with the spl...
Afterwards i renamed the eu rom from ETERNIMG to ETERDIAG and it installed.
but still the spl is :
PI39100 MFG
SPL-2.5.160015.3(137079)
eMMC SND 15188MB
TOUCH A1(F:81, ID:1,V11,B:F8)
Radio-16.23.02.09_A
I tried to install spl2.05 again (I don't remember but I think it failed), then spl2.6 with no luck, then hspl without results...
Finally I upgraded to 7.8 via cab installer and thats the best I managed to accomplish...
So I can't install any spl or hspl...
when I bought the device ,it had spl 1.09, not 2.6, so I think it's possible to hspl...

[POSSIBLE FIX][AT&T] Successful Flash Back to 1.10 Bootloader

Fellow AT&T Titan owners:
I, like many of you, have been stuck on the 2.5 bootloader since September and have been working on many possible fixes posted in several forums. After no luck, I was resigned to put my Titan in the kitchen drawer and forget about it until a fix came out. 2 days ago I pulled the Titan out of the drawer to mess around with it because I was bored. I flashed a Titan TEST ROM uploaded by sh4d0w86 back in February 2012 HERE. I thought that it might help reset the settings in the phone. After flashing I checked the bootloader and it still said 2.5. :crying: DAMN!
I left the TEST ROM on the phone overnight and decided to flash stock AT&T ROM a few minutes ago, and I'll be a son-of-a-***** if it's not back to the stock 1.10 bootloader. :victory:
Maybe it was a fluke, I don't know, but I'm back to working with my Titan again. Check it out. Maybe it'll work for you too. :fingers-crossed:
EDIT: Just reflashed HSPL and custom ROM. I'm good-to-hook again.
I will try it asap, so u just flshed test rom, checked out SPL left it over night and tomorow flashed cingular 1.10 ROM? after that just regular procedure with SPL HSPL ? u flashed via USB cable all things, no Y cable?
I had to flash SPL via Y-cable per Cotulla's instructions in the HSPL Thread. But you may not need to let it sit overnight, I don't know. Maybe you can flash right away and get back to 1.10 or maybe not. It was just an unplanned event that had a brilliant result.
I hope it works for you too.

Please check out my post under debrand instructions under Windows Phone 7 development; you do not need your SPL to read 1.09 or 1.10 to successfully HSPL; it is imperative with whichever ROM you use for your device to read "HTC Titan x310e" not "HTC Titan P139100" following that first flash via Gold Card or everything that follows is mute. It is the 2nd step that will test your patience if you find yourself staring at "Entering USB Host Mode..." If following your flash of SPL205's NBH file you do not read on that screen, "Radio - OK", "Bootloader - OK", "Update Successful, UPDATE COMPLETED" your device will not HSPL on the next step. I recommend from the very beginning you rename the .NBH files to ETERDIAG (8 characters; no more) for steps 1 and 2 flashing via Gold Card. When you make your Gold Card use Quick Format; do not re-format your card following step 1; it is not necessary. I do recommend prior to copying the respective .NBH files to your Gold Card that they are renamed prior to copy. One more note..you may not have HSPL, but neither is your device a brick; SPL2.5.160015.3 is not the end of the world; though staring down a stock ROM really sucks after being spoiled royal.

This exactly. I was able to make calls and use the device as intended. Not like I wanted, but definitely as intended.
I was wanting to get back to stock SPL because I thought it was the only way to flash. The Titan forums are full of people that have been unable to attain HSPL due to the idea of being stuck on 2.5 bootloader was the cause. If your method works, that's awesome. As I said in my post, maybe it was a fluke but it seems so much easier to flash from stock. My primary device now is a One X so I may do some tinkering with my Titan soon. Regardless of how it turns out I appreciate your input into this.
R
But the now i when i write ETERDIAG i get flasing progres to start it comes nearly to end and then i get error 39 update terminated
Please Mr. berrywr Can help me ?
Pardon my English i'm an Italian Titan owner
I try your Plan B to debrand and have HSPL on my device because it doesn't go on using ETERIMG
I go on with ETERDIAG and everythings go in right way but ..
when i try to flash the renamed ETERDIAG.nbh copied from “SPL205” folder
my device don't FREEZE to Entering USB Host Mode but return on bootloader screen
i try after 15 or 20 minutes to move pointer with volume button and i'ts died no moove nothing change
only when i disconnect usb cable it's possible to move pointer up the bootloader menù
Now i try to change rom .
i start with european rom IMG_Eternity_HTC_Europe_1.09.401.02_Radio_16.23.02.09_A_16.24.00.23_Signed_ETERNITY_RELEASE
and i want follow your help and try with IMG_Eternity_Cingular_US_1.10.502.04_Radio_16.23.02.26_A_16.27.00.23_Signed_ETERNITY_RELEASE.nbh.
hope to read HSPL on my device please if someone have same problem PLEASE help me go on with my job
i write back if everythings go ok wih cingular rom but .. ok i write back
Best Regards Fabio Ducilli form Italy
This is my no means a flawless method; your problem is your memory card. I gave up on my microSD card and went to a PNY 4 gig thumb drive. There has been a common denominator throughout these threads in regards what memory card(s) work and don't work. This is the first device I have performed a Gold Card; it too is the first device I've ever own that does not have an expandable memory card slot. I have no way of knowing if renaming the .nbh file as "ETERIMG" or "ETERIMG.nbh" makes one bit of difference. I used "ETERDIAG" twice. In regards to flashing the SPL205 .nbh file...again if upon "Entering USB Host Mode" the device returns to the bootloader screen immediately, that's your memory card. If you think you're frozen in "Entering USB Host Mode" do not give up right away on your device. That said, if your device has been stuck at that screen for at least 30 minutes; it's reasonable to assume the flash failed. As I stated earlier...my wife's device HSPL was by the book; my device, I figured out it has nothing to do with the SPL being 1.09 or 1.10; it does have everything to do with your device being a "x310e". You cannot proceed to HSPL your device without your device being "x310e". I realize this is frustrating but there is a lot of trial and error as to what memory card or thumb drive ultimately works for you and in combination of what filename to use. If you begin "ETERDIAG" both steps are to be "ETERDIAG". My device and it being able to be flashed via USB thumb drive by no means implies this method will work for you and others, but it is proof as there are other threads that have been posted that confirm using a thumb drive does in fact, work. Please, keep us up to date; take care!

What I know of an error 39 is related to USB hosting. Where are you in regards to flashing your device when the error occurs; USB Host Mode or Bootloader? You need Zune running if you're flashing through your computer; I have Windows 8 Professional installed on the laptop I used to flash both my Titans. I have Zune setup on all three of my HTC devices - 2 Titan I (Eternity) and 1 HD2 (Leo). I've had no problems whatsoever with my computer interfacing with my devices to date.

Okay...your device reads "x310e"; yes? When you re-setup your Gold Card to flash SPL205; your device should have underwent at least one restart and re-entered USB Host mode and you will be looking for the following words "RADIO - OK" and "BOOTLOADER - OK" and "Update Successful, UPDATE COMPLETED"...there would be nothing more on the screen. The next step is restart the device into Bootloader mode, ensure Zune is running on your computer and connect the device to your computer. You open the DFT HSPL folder (the other folder) and you will right click the application and run it as administrator. It should recognize the device and you will select HSPL. This last step takes only a matter of seconds and if successful you will see it almost immediately.
the thing is the name changed to x310e only in phone, but not in bootloader, the bootloader remains PI39100 like i have the case, everyting have flashed as u wrote, but nada in the end, it just wont change from PI39100 to x310e, i can flash euro rom only as ETERDIAG as ETERIMG i get kicked out to bootloader

I restarted my device in Bootloader Mode; it reads as follows:
1st line: PI39100 - That's Papa India Three Nine One Zero Zero
2nd line: HSPL2.5.160015.3(137079)
3rd line: eMMC SND 15188MB
4th line: CotullaH(F:81, ID:1, V11,B:F8)
5th line: "Double Space"
6th line: Radio-17.5006.08.27 (This is the required radio for the Eburon WP7.8.8858 custom ROM).
In regards to your device reading x310e; that's good news! You're half way there. You need to have a successful second flash with your gold card with SPL205. Your device will automatically restart and return to Entering USB Host Mode prompt...it is this step you must have patience; it has to read Radio - OK, Bootloader - OK...Update Successful, UPDATE COMPLETED; it cannot be anything else or any combination other than these four.
Upon completion of the 2nd flash...SPL205's nbh file does your display indicate both Radio-OK and Bootloader-OK, Update Successful, UPDATE COMPLETED?
It does indicate RADIO-OK, BOOTLOADER-OK, UPDATE SUCSSES, but it does it rly quickly, you said u waited long, in my case it shows USB host mode quickly loading... and the >*>*>*, restart, and the following sucsses, i allso used ETERDIAG for SPL 2.05, hmm, I will try all over again today, i will try to write ETERIMG but i think it will kick me out to bootloader, by the way Happy New Year

If what you've written is correct then you are two-thirds the way there and what's left to do is connecting your device to your computer with Zune running, Your device is to be in bootloader mode when you do this, look for USB at the bottom and execute the program by right clicking the application and run it as administrator.
I did that, proces said finished and boom no hspl cotula writing......
Same problem with HSPL for me
