Hey friends few days ago I replaced my official ROM and now m on custom ROM GingerblureB v3.
Now I don't have that default video player which was inbuilt with my official gingerbread.
M looking for that default player coz it was best in live streaming than other players.
So if anyone has is video player than please share it a big thanks in advance

It seems to be that the stock video player wont work on the rom u have installed
this sometimes happens with system apps when u try to replace them..
Ok but i think there is another way but this will become a bit more tricky i thought...

You have to find out weather you can replace the mediaplayer.apk in the system/app (you might have to rename it to the name the current video player got)
I dont know if it will work but i know there is a way to do this just search here in xda for replacing system apps
im sure u will find something
but if youre rom is backupped you might take a try
but remember replacing system apps is always a bit dangerous

yap you might try cus the worst that could happen is that u get bootloops and have to reflash the rom so in this case u couldnt brick ur phone

Hello! I noe this problem of mine is kinda small but I still wan to solve it
Last time under setting.
Setting>sound>phone ringtone>android system and another one is SD card file
But now there is only slient and another one. I could NT choose from system or SD card. Anyone noe what to do?
I have tried re-flash. Re-formate SD card. Nth seems to work.
Tried on WB rom and scramble rom both the same.
Anyone noe what to do?

Is this for ringtones or music for lesure or are both not working?
If its ringtones, the scamble ROM need a third party app i believe to do the ringtones. That what i did.
For music, that could be a music file protected issue. I solved that issue with transfering all music from laptop to amazons cloud and getting the amazon music app on my phone. I hope i answered your question currectly.

hmm. what i meant was....i dun even have the option on my phone. last time when i was on both of this rom i have android system option n another one(which is the sd card music folder) option. now the only 2 option i have is slient n another tone.
u try using ur phone...setting>sound>phoneringtone> (u see android system n sdcard) but mine dun. tt y i trying to find out how to get there.

i just wan to select music as my ringtone n my notification...i noe i can do by just clicking on the music...but i trying to get back my setting back only.

then try install tis player, named MIUI Music.
its works on 2.1 and also 2.2.

after u had installed the apk file, u should have option selecting ur ringtone either with android system or music,
then u just had to click on music
but i suggest u use mp3 file as ur ringtone. other types of file im nt sure

I installed cyanigenmod today on my phone..and my bad luck i accidently deleted some file...not sure which one...and i no longer see my lovely cyanogenace live wallpaper.
I am a noob here and i dont want to risk flashing cyanogen again...morever i dont want to take the pain of re-installing all those apps.
Can somebody please please provide me or guide me to how to get that lovely lwp back.

Did you go into system-app-livewallpaperspicker.apk or livewallpapers.apk and delete that, or did you uninstall a live wallpaper? Or maybe turn off scrollable wallpaper? Because I don't remember any CM7 theamed live wallpapers... what ROM are you using? Why don't you just get some flowery live wallpaper from the market?

Nisha: Download Titanium Backup from the market, Back up all your apps and reflash the rom. You can use Titanium to restore your apps to the exact same state they were when backed up.
As to the file you deleted, was it an app? Or was it in a system folder or what? Where did you find that file?

Thanks superace...yes, i was indeed in the system folder. I was trying to establish the differences introduced by cyanogenmod...its my first custom rom.
I tried installing one lwp from market and i can use it. So, imo its the apk that i deleted. Can i get that back from somewhere?

Which file did you delete??If you don't know,just copy the zip of your rom to your PC.Open the zip and go to system/app.Then compare the files in the same folder in your system app with a root explorer.See which file you deleted.Now,if you found which one you deleted,copy that apk file to your SD card.Make it a system app and give it the correct perms.I can't give you the perms because i don't know the app you are using...This is pretty much the only thing you can do because you don't want to reflash

Well, if it was the apk of the wallpaper that you deleted, then you can just download it from the market. Just remember the name or something. Since you deleted the apk itself, then you might have to "uninstall" it from the list of applications then proceed to reinstall.
Like I said, download titanium backup and back up all your apps. That way, no matter what happens to your phone, all your apps will be in the SD no matter what unless you format your SD.

Yep...tried that and it fixed the problem as well..but just noticed...the files in zip are odexed...while the zip provided by sam is deodexed. So wanted that as well...i m greedy...gals are usually.

Anybody knows how to change the Apps-screen, so that all the buttons is on the screen at the same time?
Now I have to swipe left or right to see "downloaded" or "all"-button.

Would be great to try your framework from your ROM, but I havn't been into decompiling/compiling frameworks and stuff, so only if it's a flashable file I can handle it
Pretty satisfied with my own setup at this time, but offcourse I have to try your ROM as well in a short time

BBM need not be pushed into system/app just push it to /data/app
in simpler words put it in your sd card and just using a file explorer install it as a normal app

sry but now i really understand nothing. i dont get the sense here :/ & i have no idea what installing bbm has to do with launchers & battery life.
i can say u u can install bbm by tapping on it & nstall normally. no problems in that.
btw mine playstore says ''bbm is not avaible for ur device'' i downloaded it here & all ok if u meant that.

Hmmm....Not all app can be install/push in system and work normally like they suppose to...if its designed to work as system app then it can be push as into system...if its not then normal installation will do...
pushing app into system also don't make it as high priority as you think...beside social app like bbm, fb, whatsapp and etc can cause more battery usage if it been added to system...

ive serious problems with home and keyboard, when ram is low they always close, home its not a big issue but keyboard is cause sometimes it close when im typing..
i always use performance control to, supposedly, keep them in memory but now it seems tht doenst work.. so i remember to see tht exist one script to put in init.d tht maybe is solution for my problem but i cant find it now.. can u help me whit tht.. or if im wrong give me some help find another solution?!
btw, if it matters im using Xsola with wolf rom and experimental kernel
