I rooted my Nook Tablet (8gb) following jichuan89 and others' thread. I installed Go Launcher and everything works great.
However, I could not get Go Keyboard work. I installed it, and when I am trying to enable it by selecting "step 1: choose Go Keyboard". it tells me "please click settings --> language&keyboard to enable Go Keyboard". BUT I do not have a "language&keyboard" option in any of my settings.
Please help.
I believe you need to go to accessibility settings in.order to.select a.keyboard option.

can you be more specific? do you mean the "accessibility settings" under NT Hidden Settings? There is a "intput method" option under that setting, but I can only see an "android keyboard" selection.
Thanks.

I'm having the same problem after flashing back to CM7. Asks for input but menu doesn't fully open.

I had to reflash to the keyboard to show up properly. The issue seemed to come back after loading Google apps zip.
Ended up reflashing back to cm9.

So I downloaded it, and when I used to click the home button it would give me the option to use the regular or ADW........at some point I clicked regular and "always use this method" and now I want to mess around and set up ADW, but it's not in my "apps" ........ where is it located?? How do I open it?
Look in your downloads list.
it's not there, I downloaded, and used it weeks ago, I just made the "stock" the default and I don't see it now.........I can see it in "manage applications" but the only option there is to "uninstall"
Clear your default under settings->app->home.

Try settings, applications, manage applications, find the app you chose to always apply, click on it and then click clear defaults.

I don't think he knows how to do that, because the menus "disappeared"
To the original poster - please try to touch and hold the screen on the left or right edge and a blue 'thumb menu' should pop up. From there you can do the same you can from regular menu bar and IMO it's much more handy.
Thx for the help guys. I cleared all data and cache and have sorted it. I will try the long press tip as I liked the full screen but not the inability to use tabs and input addresses.
Really appreciate your advice.
Thx again.

STOCK HTC EVO 3D, Running ICS newest update, Using stock Message app
When I goto respond to a text and press the message area for the keyboard to pop up the text message window increases to a full screen window instead of the smaller window it used to.
Looks like this below, Anyone know how to change it back to the smaller window
Go into keyboard settings. I believe its under landscape settings which is weird why its affecting the portrait mode.

It's still there under settings / language and keyboard on my stock phone.
Just remember, there are two steps to activate the keyboard. First make it available in settings. Then choose to use it by staying to type (in any app), pull down the notifications bar, and select the input method. I always forget the second step, if it makes you feel better.
