You will have to change a song trough any application you are running, no shortcut buttons for it at the moment!

using volume controls while the phone screen is off

hi, coming off an ipod touch i am pretty much used to change volume without unlocking the screen.
is it possible to do it on the vibrant?
why does it lock those buttons while the screen is off?
It doesn't lock the buttons. I change volume all the time while listening to Pandora with the screen off.
using the default music player it does not change the volume, only bring up the lockscreen
I use Winamp. In the options for Winamp, there is a "lockscreen" option so that when you come out of standby, the winamp player controls will pop up. This way you don't have to unlock the rest of your phone before changing songs/etc.
Also, with winamp, you can use volume buttons while screen is off.
GL
just installed winamp and i am getting the same result, using vibrant with stock ji6 firmware.
pressing the volume buttons only brings up the lockscreen
got it... it was beucase of my custom lockscreen program lockbot.
will delete it now.

Change music tracks without using the screen?

Hey all, I'm trying to figure out how to change track that I'm playing without using the screen. On all my other phones, I could simply press and hold the volume up or the volume down key. This doesn't work for me. Is there any apps I can use?

[Q] adjust function of volume button

Hi everybody,
I've disagreements with function of volume button in "normal mode".. because ring volume is absolutely useless for me.. I would like control media volume instead of ring volume in "normal mode".. Does anyone know how I can do that?
Thank you very much
PS: sorry for my EN
really nobody knows?
When media are being played, the volume keys adjust media volume,
so why would anyone need to adjust media volume without playing any already?

because..for example:
I'm browsing on internet and I want click on some video. But I remember in last time I was listening to music very loudly and I don't want loud video now.. the easiest way is click on video and after that pressing "-" volume button.. but phone takes time to know he is in "media mode", and begins reducing ring volume.. after that I want back my level of ring volume to max, but phone already increasing media volume => I am very angry!!
the same in games etc etc...
I don't want changing ring volume 10x a day (knowingly or UNINTENTIONALLY too) I don't need change it ever. I can recuce it in Settings, or completely in lock screen...
That's why...

thank you mate, I know about this app but it still doesn't solve my problem... It will be a lot better to adjust something in system and change ring volume to media volume in function of volume button but I don't know where and how..

Xperia S changing volume during music playback

I noticed that, when I listen to music and I leave the walkman app the sound will suddenly get louder when I open another app and decrease again after some time.
Seems to happen on every music app, I tried Apollo, walkman and Google music.
It's really annoying since it gets extremely loud and I have to adjust the volume all the time.
Is that normal? I haven't found any option for this.
If it is normal, US there anyway to turn this off?
