no offence at all ;-)
then why the ' /vendor/app/ ' folder ( from official 4.0.4 ftf ) is still there after flashing a mod rom ?
would be great if there's a ' zero ' ftf file, just for complete formatting the whole internal memory !

use superwipe v2 in development section.....it formats everything in nand memory

Download "fastboot v3" and there is option to format all.

...or just flash the ftf again without the vendor partition

[XU] How to clean "SD-Card"?

Hello together!
After many ROM and Software tryouts I have the feeling, that the memory of my phone has become filled with non-used app-data etc....
How can I safely remove all this stuff? Is there a way, e.g. when flashing a new firmware, to remove all non-system files?
Is it safe to simply format all visible partitions from within CMW?
Thanks a lot for hints,
Guntram

Aah! Didn't know, that this is a safe way of removing unwanted app-data etc. Can you recommend a special laundry detergent or is the selectivity the same with all brands?

I think yes, but this will delete every app and system won't boot up. You should reflash Rom if you don't want to have unnecessary apps.

Factory Reset will only delete you data. You have to format your sd-card for example in CWM - mounts and storage - format /sdcard

It's not about the apps. I want to get rid of all the files, that have been created by apps and left behind even after flashing new ROM (being tft or zip from CWM)!

I can't find a corresponding option in Settings (you mean settings of running android, don't you?) ? I am on CM9 - I only find Factory Reset...
If I plan to reflash using FlashTool, I can format /sdcard and e.g. /system? Or will /system be formatted anyways?

if you want to free your phone memory, then just do a factory reset.
or
if you want to free your sdcard mem, then do a back up of what ever things you needed and format it..

[Q] Any zip for full wipe ?

I just saw a zip file by searching on google which will do a full wipe which we all do before installing new ROM but it was only for HTV One so if anyone knows or can create this type of Zip which will do a full wipe?
Thank You :good:

Look into a rom zip! In updater script! In any of rom zips having aroma installer its easy as it formats system itself as its in script u just have to add factory reset line. Search for it! U ll get it urself
