[Q] How to delete messages in mini pro? - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hi!
I am having huge problems with my messages. I cant seem to delete my threads. Everytime i try to delete a thread, it fails. The messages are deleted but not the main thread. The thread is still there and under the recipients name it says "no subject". I'm having this problem in every ics release, both stock and roms.
I have tried to search the forum but no help so far.
Thanks in advance!

Do a full wipe, everything - dalvik, data, cache, system - and then reflash rom. I've never had that problem I'm sorry so thats the best advice I can give.
Cheers,
Evil.

I always do that. But I will give it another try, yet again.

I'm still having the same problem. Does anybody have a solution? I'm really lost.
Sent from my SK17i using xda premium

If you realy make reflash with full wipe is not possble to stay some data. Maybe try also format your sd. Dont you using some backup app which "restore" this emty conversation?
Sent from my ST15i using XDA

I use mybackup. It is all clean in conversation after a full wipe but when a start making conversations and then want to remove them, that's where the problem appears. When a restore my sms and want to delete some of them, same thing happens. Empty thread with no subject.
Sent from my SK17i using xda premium

So problem start even before restoring some sms? Then really dont known. Never see this. You can just try only some other sms app for delete or use
Sent from my ST15i using XDA

I did just that. I backed up my sms using an app from the market, then deleted all my sms, after that I restored the ones I backed up and now everything is fine. I can create and delete messages without any problem. Really strange that problem is gone now.
Thanks for all your help.

GoSms Problem.....Random Texts

So I'm using gosms as my text app and it has a weird issue....
very randomly it'll send a person a text that i've sent that person in the past. i'll simply open the app and see a message that I sent to someone that I originally sent weeks ago. how do I fix this?
first off wrong section belongs in q & a.
now to answer your question try clearing the davlik and caches. if it doesnt work do a fresh install.
Not sure if it helps....
I use go SMS and have not had this issue. Could it be a message that never sent, and now is resending?
I would try the above and a clean install. Good luck.

Can't access App info since upgrading to Jellybean

Hello there,
I flashed Jellybean firmware using Mobile Odin and the phone works ok, apart from not letting me access App info properly. It shows size, cache, data, as "computing" then closes to home screen. Any help on what the issue could be?
I've cleared data /factory reset the phone. It showed correctly, but when I restore apps using Titanium or uninstall/install apps regularly, it messes up.
Thanks in advance

Update:
Going into recovery and clearing cache partition or dalviche cache didn't fix the issue,
I uninstalled apps using Titanium Backup, then restored them about 10 at a time, only with a few I restored the app data with, rest just the app. It messed up once, I uninstalled a few apps, then reinstalled them again same way
Was working fine after this
However, I downloaded a few apps of Play Store. Same problem started again
And help
I have about 7GB internal memory left on the 16gb model

Also don't know if this is relevant, but when I used to restore Nandroid backups, it always messed up on restoring data.
Boot, system, etc restored ok

Q. Xperia U - Standard Messaging App

Hi all,
My messaging app has started playing up recently, I go to read a msg and it'll just freeze or sometimes say there's no msg's at all when there is, when it freezes it shows in the notification window there's thousands of unread msg's I've attached a screenshot to help show what I mean.
Does anyone have any ideas what it could be as I'm rebooting my phone several times a day to sort the issue out.
Thanks in advance

I've tried that earlier today and that didn't seem to do anything, I've also tried wiping the dalvik cache and fixing permissions.

Try to clear app cache under settings and applications.
and or clearing the Dalvik cache may solve your issue.

Thank you for your information. I have tried following things before I posted this thread
1. Cleared the cache of xda app, google play services and google playstore
nothing was happened after the above steps done and still the issue exist
2. Wiped cache and dalvik cache from Recovery
Still the issue is exist.
May be framework issue for XDA app. Not sure though..
