Is there a way to do this guys? I'm considering flashing one of these recent ICS leaks but I'm not rooted yet. Or is it a way to do it without rooting from the sd card?
Bro there's no way. Sorry
there is still no way now,may be you can find a way

Hi guys,
is it hard to replace the actual kernel into the official GB Release from SE ?
Sorry im absolutely no profi, if that question is stupid, please delete
cheers
First: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1186953
Second: You can update it with PC Companion, the SE Suite.
Third: If you have a Custom Rom, maybe you have to downgrade to 2.1 it with Flashtool.
du Klugscheisser,
in DE ist es draußen. Ich will wissen ob ich als Anfänger einfach den aktuellen Linux Kernel in die SE GB Variante integrieren kann !!
denn aktuell ist 2.35/36 und nicht 2.29 !!
First read and understand my queston !!
Dont talking about the update !! Just want to know, if a noob can replace the old kernel with the 2.35 !!

First: Stick to the forum rules! No offence and English language! (Yes, I am German too)
Second: Current linux kernel is 3.0., 2.6.35 is long term.
Third: What advantages do you guys think you'll get with a recent kernel? I personally don't think there are many bugs to fix with this piece of hardware.

Are there any special steps needed to go from Gummy ICS to any Gingerbread rom? I've been having too many issues with ICS and need to go back to a stable rom, but don't want to mess anything up. Can I just use CWM like normal and install a GB rom without any problems?
You have to flash fastboot gb rom with rsd. Or try black widow rom. I have no issues with it, just the hw acceleration doesn't work. But it doesn't matter, I have the best battery lifetime with it and it's very fast and stable.

Yeah, go into store and buy you an new RazR
J/k
But if you're on an GSM Leak or an actual CDMA, you can't go back to GB.

Before making anything, you can go back only if you have the .79 leak or previus (if you are cdma) if not you can't go back. Flashing a gb fastboot file will only brick your razr

You can't go back, bear it until the official ics will came out, if you don't want to brick your razr

That was my question too... If you ran the 75 or 79 leak, you're okay. Anything above that is not Fastbootable...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27167512
But read this thread and the instructions carefully!!! If you're RazR isn't the right for this Region, don't do it.
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS , THINK ABOUT IT AND READ AGAIN!!
