I'm having some trouble with one of the custom ROM's around here (not that it is not faster and richer than the original one but some applications are not working for me)
Could someone please help me revert to the original HTC 6.0 ROM?
I am using the 3.5SPL and so i guess this is why the HTC reflasher is not working
Also would radio version be a problem? I also have the latest radio version around; is this compatible with the old HTC 6.0 ROM?

I don't think anyone has converted the official HTC 6 Rom to SPL3.5 but dheerajjuneja has slightly modified it

If you want to go to the official rom you would have to use the spl downgrader (see the sticky links)
I think the official Roms reflash the radio so it wouldn't matter what radio you had
Why dont you try AP3
It is a good Rom and my wife has never found a need to change it

i've used AP3 before and it was a good rom.
But i'm trying to switch to something as plain and well tested as possible so that i stop having these random issues and incompatibilities (i'm on AP4 at the moment).
is there a way to revert the spl so that i can reflash the old rom?

This is the link that Cmonex posted to downgrade SPL http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=405604 off the rom links sticky.
Honestly if you are having troubles you put yourself at risk of a few problems reverting and I don't think it is worth it.
Use the AP3 for spl3.5 that I linked above and you should be sweet.
Make sure you remove your cards and do a hard reset before and fter you flash to make sure you have flushed all the settings that may be causing you issues.

SOLUTION n.1
1) Revert back to spl 1.2 following the instructions posted here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=405604
2) Flash any 1.2 ROM
3) Flash the original HTC ROM using SSPL as explained in the same thread
ALL (SPL, RADIO, OS, SPLASH SCREEN, EXT_ROM) will be the original HTC

Well, earlier this morning while having SPL3.5 on my device i tried to reflash my Athena with the stock HTC WM6 ROM to see what happens; normally that didn't work and left me unable to boot
Now i tried the SPL Downgrader, but i need a running OS to do that.
So i went to the bootloader, and tried installing two versions of AP 3.0 that i have to get a running OKS... The ROMs install just fine, but i'm stuck in a reboot loop that keeps taking me trough the "tap the screen to start using windows" and the AP 3.0 automatic os customization
is there a way to stop that from the loop?
how do you proceed to carry on from now on?
Also, what are the ROMS that can be installed straight from the bootloader like AP3? Maybe another ROM with no ROM customizations and automatic reboot?
Later Edit: Tried the Irus HTC WM6 SPL 3.5 ROM from the bootloader screen and it seems to be installing...

PS: I'm trying to find a thread to find out more about what is a SPL, what does it have to do with the OS and the boot mechanism in WM, anybody know a good resource for that?
OK, It seems i got there; after the Irus ROM, i use the SPL Downgrader and than reflashed the original HTC ROM, and voila !
I seem to have got the HTC WM6 ROM with 1.50 RADIO.
What more do i have to do to get "all-stock"?
Should i use a vanilla SPL1.2 installer to restore the original SPL (i think i'm running the 1.2 OliPro right now)
as a matter of fact, is there any reason to restore the original SPL?
And... is Radio 1.75 better than the 1.50 in terms of WIFI stability? WIFI performance seems to be rather bad

Hi all, i have a niki 200 (t-mobile mda plus). I have just security unlocked it and it has hard spl 1.15 on it.
First off i would like the latest edition of windows mobile on this phone but im struggling to find one thats compatible with the key configuration of the phone. Also will there be a built in radio compatible with the version of the rom update i download, or will i have to re-install t-mobiles orginal 1.58.16.27 radio.

I just did mine yesterday, tis a T-Mobile Touch plus with 16 keys.
Followed the sticky on flashing the hardspl, but i went with 1.22.
The got a copy of the Offical HTC WM 6.1 update from one of the other threads and ran the rom updater on that.
Worked a treat, tis HTC branded now and everything works nicely. The auto-network configure is great, sets up all the T-Mobile stuff nicely and got push mail set up from my works exchange server along with gmail.
Boots a lot quicker and hopefully i'll be rid of the daily reboots i had to do due to the clock or weather graphics going blank.

Can anyone give me the best settings to get android to work on a uk hd2 phone.
I have tried to do as people have said and used haret but my phone does not scroll through the linux screen, it just gets 4 whites lines of text then fades to black and does nothing. I have to take the battery out and reset the phone.

Update your Radio to 2.10 or above.
Make sure you install HSPL then update radio to a version with .50
my radio is 2.10.50.28
Oh and use a rom which is android compatible.

First off I want to apologize if what I am asking for exists but I have failed to find it.
It needs to be said that i've updated my HD2 with the latest complete update from HTC. I've been trying to get my hspl on by trying to install it but it says that because I have 3.03 it won't work. I need the radio for android since im quite sick of my buggy WM.
My question is: is there a way to install hspl even though you have 3.03? And could somebody point me in the right direction.

No sir HSPL isn't compatible with SPL 3.03.
But way do you need it? I mean you mention fore change your radio version fore being compatible with Android. But firs of all Android is compatible with Radio 2.15.50.14 (the one who is integrated in stock ROM 3.14.
And secondly stock ROM 3.14 is compatible with Android sir.
Well it seems I was mistaken thanks for the help. Used a different build and the internet worked. But for some reason all my android builds get to the startup screen where I configure the first settings and such and survives through it by like 2 minutes then it gets cancer and dies. And by that I mean it hangs on random things and when I restart android it just goes to a black screen. Guess some people were just not meant to have android on their phones
Your stock ROM is fully compatible with Android. Do not touch anything. Just put on your SD card the Android files and run it. Like me. I've never flashed my HD2 with HSPL - I'm running only original ROMs and with the last one I am having smooth runnig Android OS too. Good luck!

hi.. i have an htc mozart Europe(401)... with Mango.. spl 5.10 now i wish to downgrade for flash Custom Rom ..i found many previous official Roms but i never can Downgrade.... at 1% it stop.... i think it depend by spl.. how can downgrade it?? i tryied with zune but bad results... help me plzzzz thank you

I've got the same problem after installing tmo-de 1.09 -> htc-europe 1.30 -> zune updates to 7720. I wanted to flash official ROM (which would be updateable by zune) with Polish language. Everything went fine, but I've got only DE, EN, ES, FR, IT languages.
Does anyone know if there's a possibility of adding a language pack (cab?) at this stage? I want Polish language so bad!
Unfortunately I cannot roll back to any sub-spl4 rom and thus cannot install hspl/rspl...

anyway really hope anyone found a solution to permit me and other Mozart-Mango-Spl5.10 to flash one of that cool custom Roms...
well it's good that we are still taking this in a lighter mood..but on serious note i feel cheated...to view all possibilities of win7 cooked ROMs but not been able to experience it...i love my mozart and will do stick to it..but Microsoft is playing real tough games...do they really want to sell their OS or not

As in Title.... im not so sure but i think 1st step is to downgrade to NoDo. or Pre-nodo is better with stock rom, then have to see if your bootloader not change, you have to get 1 official update by zune.. then u should receive SPL 3.xx, then u can install RSPL, etc etc..

buddy the downgrade to a NoDo or Pre nodo is not happening for SPL 5 and that is what we all, with mango update are stuck up with

After one year of struggling with an unfinnish product and when I finnaly started to really love my Windows Mobile again, I ended up in the same situation. Single most disappointing Microsoft experience ever for me, period.

I was on SPL 5
Here is what i did
First i used 2GB Transcend to generate goldcard using my wife HTC Wildfire S, then i removed the SD card from the wildfire and inserted it in a card reader.
I opened the SD card and deleted any folder generated by wildfire.
Then i used my handmade Y cable as instructed but flashing process started after aboult 3-4 mins, so you have to wait for flashing process to start, it will not start after inserting immediately.

After which you use RUU to flash lower spl rom, right?
So far when i tried to flash after 1% the phone reboots, so i will give it a try. Generating gold card is easy with the Y cable, i dun know, but i m going to try this weekend, fingers crossed.

I tried that with omnia 7 which i also updated to mango, alas it did not work for me, as my upgrade did not have internet sharing while others have, as i was selling the ph i did not bother again but i quite like the mozart so i will try both way now.

Hi my friend
After the new way that published to Interop Unlock, i returned back to SPL 5.11 and applied the 7740 update, but unfortunately i still unable to deploy apps.
I am now using Goldcard again.
While applying Goldcard method your device will restart once to confirm bootloader change and then it will complete normally.
