Is anyone else having problems with the updated Xda app not pushing notifications to your phone? I was able to get subscribed thread notification alerts before, not they've stopped.. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, clearing app data and cache, etc Any ideas?

Am I the only one having this issue? I've not been able to get any notifications for private messages or subscribed threads, pushed to my phone, from this app.. I've already tried emailing the contact email on the Market, but for no response..

The last update is when I lost that feature.. I wish I had a titanium of the older version.. I'd go back to it until they got it figured out..

Agreed, however I'd have the thanks button over notifications.

As useful as the thanks button is, I won't need it if I can't get my notifications.. I've gone a week without checking Xda because I wasn't getting notifications.. Haha

I am no longer receiving notifications as well on my inspire since I updated the xda app.

Same problem here on HTC Aria! It's throwing me off big time because I rely heavily on them. Uninstall/Reinstall doesn't fix the problem. I was trying to find a way to contact the dev about it, but there is no option in the app itself or in the market. Any suggestions?
Edit: I have found the dev email and notified them of the problem.
Hey guys, I am currently running a gs2 with cm9 rom, and the cm9 kernel, however if I have my phone on any of the profiles I.e silent vibrate or loud etc, I constantly switches between the profiles automatically, roughly every ten seconds .
Things I have done:
Flashed a newer nightly
Crashed system UI and restarted it.
Done all the wipes when flashing roms.
Changed between themes and icon packs.
Any other options for me guys? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advanced guys

Try to set Profile to default (hold Power key) and then switch sound mode.
Thanks for quick response, just checked that and it is on default, I wish I could record a video of the screen to show you what's happening

Use screencast app

Strange thing.
Try to:
1. flash RC (http://download.cyanogenmod.com/get/jenkins/3457/cm-9.0.0-RC1-galaxys2.zip)
2. make Nandroid backup, format system, flash CM9 again
3. change kernel
4. make logcat (aLogcat form GPlay or through adb on PC)
I have no more ideas right now.
OK thanks mate will do that when I have a PC available, thanks for the help well give feedback later

Hi guys,
Just wanted some help from you guys. Suddenly i noticed that my s3 has started speaking on its own. Like when i zoom out my homescreens, it says
"Workspace 2 of 3"
When i open a folder,it says
"Folder opened "
I dont know what happened. I didnt tweak any settings and updated to the latest firmware about a week back. Until yesterday there were no voice feedbacks but all of a sudden they have started. Couldnt find any setting to turn them off either.
It is very annonying and any help would be greatly appreciated!

That sounds like TalkBack. Disable it under Settings -> Accessibility -> TalkBack
Already disabled, still it speaks!
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Have you got Light Flow installed? There is a bug with it due to Samsung/ICS kernel
Yes i did have that app installed and i guess it has happened due to that app only. However, i just uninstalled the app but it still speaks. Will try restarting the phone once and will get back to you. Thank u so much anyways.

This might be a stupid question but do you think you can take a pic or maybe use your phone while browsing and hope that you can video record it with some other camera and capture that grayish dot. It could be that you have a security software installed and everytime you browse it scans the website you're on. I could be wrong.
For me, when i view a pic on reddit sync, it shows up. I think it just is a way to declutter the notification bar, cause if you click it, it shows all the icons anyway. Any more info as to what you're doing when it happens?

I'll try to see if I can do that, the only security software installed on my phone is Cerbereus, which is more phone tracking than anything

if sync in turned on, you get them all the time. if they do not, it is the problem with the slow internet or disconnected internet.

Sync is on , I installed an app called Push notifications fixer ,and it worked and I started getting notification but it was efficient as it didn't work all the time
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
I first encountered this on the leaked version of 4.2.2 so I decided to move to back to a 4.1.2 rom but it carried over the same problems with notifications I think there might be something missing like script or something. I did do a full wipe by the way.
I say this because I installed an app from the play store called Push notifications Fixer, which worked but only with a few application such as snap chat and Gmail but not with Facebook or Twitter or g+.
The other problem with this app is that I have to run it manually every time I report.
Thanks in advance
