Hey dont know if this the the correct forum to ask but i cant seem to post anywhere else. First of all iv got a galaxy s2 its not yet rooted as i dont have a need for it just yet. Im wondering if chainfire 3d will allow me to use the splashtop gamepad thd app that you can stream games with. I know that the app basicly works as it installs and i can connect to my pc and scroll about with the mouse and whatnot but the screen on my phone stays blank (im guessing due to the fact its designed for tegra 3 devices) im just wondering would chainfire 3d allow me to use the app properly?
Bump... has noone tested this?

Hey
I tried everything.. including tegra driver using chainfire3d.
The best case was playing for 2 sec and then stuck.
thnks.
Anyone?
Anyone? pls...
Same for me. I installed chainfire and the nvidia plugin, but the game crashes after the menue.
Dont need a new thread for this...
ChainFire 3D plugin Games and Devices Compatibility list
[Android 2.1+][07.06.2011][v1.9] Chainfire3D [ROOT][OpenGL ES 2.0+]
Which Games Work and Don't Work. On samsung GS2
And as far as I know no one has gotten this game to work yet, you better wait for a fix from the developers or an update to chainfire3d.
But please take the discussion on one of those threads.
Minecraft was released for the Xperia play.
I haven't tried this out yet but I'm thinking:
build.prop edit
Chainfire 3D + Qualcomm
Wii Classic Controller remapped to Xperia Play
Hmm, having a problem getting it from the market. I have edited my build.prop to show up as "Sony Ericsson R800i" in the market, however the market still says the game is incompatible.
Is your phone ARMv7? I downloaded the apk of the demo and installed it, then, when I lauch the app it crashes. My phone is still an ARMv6 architechture ..

Good thing this is the Nook Color forums.....still.
I have the demo, it runs but the screen size is smaller than that of the Nook Color.
The classic controller works, though I can't figure out how, if possible, to remap the right analog stick to act as the xperia's right touchpad.
I can walk around the generated level and jump, build, etc, I just can't turn the camera so it's pointless.
No chainfire/build.prop edits here. (But I didn't get the .apk from the market.)
sinfulandroid.com has a modified version of the demo that loads.
ps3 sixaxis works, but same problem you have with no right stick.
Yeah I wanted to do this without having to goto a hacked APK.
There is a Wiimote app in the market that lets you remap all the Xperia Play controls. I was going to use that. Can't remember the name right now.
Also I am running 240 DPI (MIUI) so I think the assets will size properly
Yeah, I don't think I have a hacked .apk, but I've tried the "hacked" one and I see no difference. It might just be promotion for that site...
wiimotecontroller lets you map the xperia controls. Just not the xperia touchpads as far as I can tell.
the app I have is called wiimotecontroller and its free on the market. good luck on getting it to work ill experiment a bit too
EDIT: whoops, I didn't see the post above me...

I'm hopeful, but disappointed. Just got the Sixaxis to work on the nook and started walking in Minecraft and got all excited, then realized I couldn't turn. Someone here has got to be smart as **** and be able to make the touchpad a mappable an option in either app.
ok, what am I doing wrong... cant get any games working at all and very few apps coming up on search in market, is the search bypassing all non honey apps or something as I get totally different results from my galaxy s2 phone to my tablet?
Tab is rooted and running starburst, only got it today so noobing it.
Provide more detailed information. searching for what in the market? Which games don't work? What do you mean by games not working?
I havent got a single 3d game working yet, no tegra 3d games work, pretty much nothing in this thread works:

After a bit of internet browsing I discovered that it it possible to connect a nintendo Wii mote to Android devices. Which allows for easy gameplay.
After a few minutes of app installing I discovered that the entire Samsung Galaxy series is unable to use this app for whatever reason. Apparently due to the 'Sense UI' or so this article tells me;
http://android.ccpcreations.com/wiicontroller
But in the article it mentions the only way I could connect my Wii mote to my phone is by "rooting/flashing a compatible custom firmware".
So my question is, does anyone know of a ROM upon which such things are compatible? Thanks guys!

The page actually says for Samsung devices, it's NOT because of Sense (since Sense is an HTC skin for Android)... But that's neither here nor there.
The reason it doesn't work for WiiMote is because of how Samsung utilizes the bluetooth stack. You have to flash an AOSP ROM (like CM7 or MIUI) to get WiiMote to work. The downside of this, is that as far as I know, these ROMs don't currently support TV-Out via MHL. So you can't hook it up to your TV if you wanted to whilst using the controller.
HOWEVER - the SixAxis controller app, which connects to a ps3 controller (but ONLY an original Sony ps3 controller) DOES work with the stock ROM on the Galaxy S2. I have it, and it works. With this setup, I can use a controller with my emulators and hook the phone up to my TV to play games if I wanted to.
does this appel work great on s2

Have you tried changing the build.prop to another device?

a gameloft game? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1318239 might help. i installed some gameloft games recently on my touchpad recently and got messages about how the device is not supported and i need to ask for a refund. i havent tried the chainfire 3d method yet. its a shame they dont just let the games play and if they dont work, they dont work.
Working for me with a couple of quick fixes
Managed to get this game going on the touchpad However i should point out despite its name it isn't genuine HD or fully tablet optimised yet. Of course that's the case for this game on all tablets and it runs fine regardless but I just thought I'd let you know.
Anyway to get it to work an Android touchpad first set the device make and model in your build.prop to a gameloft supported device (I used the Samsung SGH-T989 because it has the same CPU and GPU as the TP) and then install the game but do not open it yet. Before running the game install chainfire3d and set it to the POWERVR plugin. Now when you run the game it should download the sd data and once completed it should work properly.
Chainfire fixes the graphics (without they are all white) and the build.prop mod fakes your device model so you can download the sd data for gameloft games (otherwise you get an unsupported device error).
From what I've seen on the net you can also install the webos version of Settler's HD on the touchpad which also runs fine (although again Scaled graphics rather than actual HD textures).
