They have remove mass storage and they left only MTP, which is very slow and unreliable.
I was looking for wifi transfer, but SMB does not seem to work without rooting (which I do not want to do now).
Any ideas?

Didn't work. I think because of the fact that there already is a voicetalk.apk on my phone vlingo is the one. But you can't get rid of it u less you can access the system files and delete that from the inside

Time to root the phone...
So i whas looking around on the internet how i could delete vlingo because that program whas install'd as voicetalk.apk
I got to a forum web page on how to delete it. You need to install go launcher and then use the launcher go into program menu and then hold the icon and then press the red cross. then i got redirected to the uninstall page and deleted it and installed S-voice.
Thanks for the help anyways.

Couldn't be of any help;
However on another note (FYI only if you wish to root your device), this cracked S-Voice works flawlessly on rooted SGSII → http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667046

Hey guys.
We know how you can do ad hoc or tethering with phone and laptop to use the phones data connection on the laptop.
How do I reverse it?
I've enabled internet sharing on the laptop but it doesn't show when I scan from the phone.
Is there anything specific that needs to be done?
The phone is galaxy s3 running stock ICS

I would like to be able to copy and paste files to the SD card of my Note 2 from my computer over my home network. In windows 7, I am able to see other computers in my house and transfer files between them. Is this doable with my Note2? Currently my method is copy files to drop box, then open drop box and export to SD card...
Thanks.
Yes. You can download apps I like samba file sharing or you can use es file explorers lan function to transfer files...

Have you tried airdroid
Sent from my SCH-I605 (AKA NOTE 2)
SSHDroidPro and WinSCP. Or just use Samba Filesharing
You could ask a kernel dev to implement CIFS. I've seen it on other phones so it can be done.
Whether you can find one to do it or not is another story.
Sounds like Airdroid is for you.
Man, I realized that the Note 2 won't work with Samba filesharing apps. There is some issue with the wifi interface not being detected. Lame.
SSH and WinSCP may be the only solution I know of that works.
Hello, on my Xperia Tablet S, if there a way I can remotely transfer files from my tablet to my PC? I know there is probably some app I can download, but I just didn't know if there was a way to do that without downloading a specific app?

If you mean transfer files between a tablet and computer via wireless Ethernet or Bluetooth, use an app like ES File Explorer.
Okay I will try that out. I was thinking of using a PC I setup as a server just to store mp3's/photos/docs etc and then transfer back and forth from tablet to PC. I will try the app you suggested as well. Thanks

Hi,
On my new rooted z2 i've installed firefox. Fx worked as long as i used wlan and no mobile data, but i cannot go to the internet using mobile data (mostly, sometimes it works). i've tried all versions from 32, very time the same. My android version is 4.4.2 stock. Yesterday i made s factory reset and installed all apps new, the first was firefox. After that i tried fx and it worked. After installing all the other apps i've the same problem again. I dont use a firewall, antivirus or something like xprivacy. Maybe there is a problem with an other app? But i used all these apps on my s2 several years ago without any fx-problem.
is there something known about problems with fx on xperia z2?
gene
I have the same problem, that's why I don't use it anymore! I asked Firefox but they don't answered yet!
