[Q] Vol {DOWN/UP} + Power won't work - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I successfully rooted my Motorola Atrix 4G, installed ROM Manager and did "Backup Current ROM". At the end of the backup, the phone was supposed to reboot. But after it shutdown and restarted, it is stuck on the Red Motorola Screen, with
"Failed to boot 2
Starting RSD Mode"
displayed on screen. In *every* Internet search I did, the solutions begin with "hold down volume up (or down) and press power...", but here's my problem: may it be volume down or up, it just doesn't change anything: the phone won't go into fastboot or anything. It just keeps displaying that "failed to boot 2" message.
Is my phone dead? I mean, the *only* thing I did is "Backup Current ROM" form ROM Manager, and the phone never started back!
Any advice, please? I am so desperate.

Restart Loop

I can't post this in the development forum, so I am posting it here.
I followed these directions: http://briefmobile.com/atrix-4g-rom-installation-guide from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991595
Now my phone is in a restart loop. It will load the red Motorola logo, then the green Motorola label, gets into the "setup your phone" screens, then it waits approximately 60 seconds and restarts. I can't make it stop and I can't figure out how to access the CWM recovery from the powerbutton + volume button combinations to try and reflash.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks!
Make sure you're plugged in to use CWM
If you cant get into it, you should be able to get into RSD mode and flash a fresh 1.83 sbf
or get into standard recovery and wipe data/factory rest
Thanks for your input - it did help!
For anyone else that finds this thread, here is what I did to fix my phone (more or less):
Removed battery
Put battery back in
Held "volume down" button until "fast boot" appeared on the screen
scrolled (via volume down - NOT volume up) to "Android Recovery"
Pressed the Volume Up Button to "click" it
Waited for it to load and touched the bottom right hand corner of the screen (hidden button that toggles showing/hiding all of the menus)
Used that to clear cache and userdata
Restarted
Phone worked!
I couldn't get RSD mode to work, though, but this method did work.

Failed to boot 1...

Alright I need some help here. I borked my Photon this afternoon and have been trying to fix it since then by trying various things to no avail.
Now when I press the power button to turn it on I get "failed to boot 1".
When I press Vol up + power I get "Failed to boot 1 with PwrReason: RWR_KEY_PRESS Starting Fastboot protocal support".
When pressing Vol down + power I get something on the screen for a split second then nothing.
I am able to use fastboot, but can't find anything to flash without failing after sending it to the device. by rebooting in fastboot RSD will see the device. I try to flash any of the stock sbf, and they too all fail when "switching device to BP pass through mode". I am thinking that fastboot is my only way to save the device. but need the proper files and sequence to install and get rolling again.
Well the Sprint store replaced my Photon. They could not bring it back to life. Lol

hatka flashed issue

i recently tried to flash hatka battery life after reading a guide, saying it was okay to flash the rom first now i am stuck with my droid dna not being able to turn off and only restarting. can someone please help me i am able to get to lockscreen and settings but the screen is black and i get android htcdialer has stopped when it opens. whenever i try to adb it says error
If your phone is frozen on a particular screen, keep holding down the power button, you will see your bottom 3 icons flash repeatedly, Keep holding the power button until it powers off (restarts), the hold time varies-sometimes you need to repeat this process. Once off (actually restarting), hold the volume down key in and it will re boot into fastboot/recovery, you can scroll to recovery and then restore (hope you have a backup)

Moto E 2015 Freedompop LTE with No OS

Acquired a free Moto E 2015 2nd Edn. LTE Freedompop with TeamWin Recovery TWRP v2.8.7. reporting, " "No OS Installed!" A normal boot will produce a quick vibrate and then the blue earth/water M logo on a white screen with "Powered by Andorid" at the bottom, which fades to black about one minute in, and then this loops indefinitely. To get out of this loop, I hold Power down about 10 seconds, the screen goes black, I release Power, wait a half a second then press and hold Power and VOL-. This brings up "Start" and some data like "AP Fastboot Flash Mode (Secure)" and "Device is UNLOCKED. Status Code: 3"
Pressing VOL- (or VOL+) cycles thru "Restart bootloader," "Recover mode," "Power off," "Factory," "Barcodes," "BP tools," "Qcom," "Bootloader logs".
It never had an SDcard, and when hooked up to a laptop, I get "Surnia" device, with the TWRP folder. I put ROM .zips here, but TWRP can not see this folder (I can't find it, anyways). So I put in an SDcard, copied files there, and when I try to install, TWRP fails for any ROM I've tried, such as CM 11, GApps, and XT1526_SURNIA_ACG_LTE_5.1_LPI23.29-20_cid9_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip.
Since I can't boot in to any OS, I can't set any settings beforehand.
Help? Ask me anything. Thanks!!

You shouldn't flash the Stock ROM zip in TWRP recovery. Follow this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...e-restore-moto-e-2015-stock-firmware-t3044936) and use the same Stock ROM zip to flash your phone back to stock. Once you are done with that, I can help you flash any Custom ROM you want.

Moto e2 (xt1528 surnia) recovery mode access trouble and startup looping

Hi folks with moto e2 expertise (android 5 lollipop)!
When in Recovery mode, I am not able to see the options for this mode, just the android on its back with red ! in red triangle sign and the msg: "no command"
When I " start" the phone from bootloader or power+Vol up or just power button held for several secs, then usual startup begins with "Android starting... optimizing 3 out of 9 apps" screen and next the "starting apps." with the loop next to it going on without getting ever to entering PIN screen, with the battery discharging.
I have to get to bootloader to use the "power off" option. I would like to get access to some of the files/data and reset the phone. How do I go about it?
Thanks a lot,
Ssmmo
