I have been searching around and can't seem to find anyone else that has had this issue....I installed a new stereo in my truck that has Bluetooth and my phone connects fine but when I stream music from my phone the rear speakers don't work. I have checked all the Radio settings and everything on my phone but I don't see any settings for something like that. I am on flapjaxx's ICS IMM76D UCLE2 BASE rom. Any help would be appreciated.

not every bt car audio system has the ability to stream music, just because you can make phone calls through it..
does the owners manual say that you can stream music from any android phone through it?
you might want to contact them and ask them directly
Yes, I actually bought it for the android streaming ability. I figured it has to be my phone since I can not make it do that any other time. Just curious if anyone else has had an issue like this.

Ya could try to/mess around with your radio settings while streaming. Surround sound options etc that might help. Also download a good music player for your phone with a lot of optimization ability. I use power amp pro in my 11 Kia sorento with no issues

my stereo has an option to send bt audio to front or all check your bt settings of your deck again

Is anyone having issues with 'tinny' and distorted sounding audio while streaming via A2DP? I'm using a Blackberry audio gateway that worked flawlessly with my old G1 but with the Vibrant I find the audio quality so appalling I can't even listen to it. It's definitely not a question of the volume settings being too high. It also does this for EVERY program so its a global problem, possibly with the bluetooth stack. For now I'm coping with the 1/8" jack but thats starting to drive me nuts.
Anyone experience this? Is there a way to force the stack not to use A2DP or other protocols?
Yes A2DP sounds bad for me as well. I'm using a kenwood bt-200 made by parrot for my kenwood head unit and the audio is distorted at higher frequencies and it's missing a lot of mid bass. With my wifes mytouch the same setup sounds excellent.
Samsung released an update for improved A2DP streaming in korea so maybe well see it here as well? Like you I've just been using an rca cable for audio because A2DP is simply unusable with the Vibrant.

The more I listen to it the more I think its a volume/clipping issue than an encoding issue. Thank christ I'm not alone I was beginning to suspect I was being a whiney brat about the quality.
I just tested the gateway with a third phone and it also works flawlessly. Getting frustrated...

So does anyone have experience extracting files from Samsung .rfs files? I'm trying to do so via adb and failing miserably. I'm hoping to snag the new bluetooth.apk from the 2.2 developement build from Samsung to see if it has the sound quality updates.
Anyone?
I'm trying to determine if it's just the crappy TouchWiz Music Player they replaced the default Android player with. When I stream from other apps it sounds noticeably better (like Last.FM or Pandora), and I tried the Cubed player for a comparison of MP3 audio and it also sounded better.
Have any of you done a comparison like that?
I carried over the heavily modded cyanogen music player and besides that I use slacker. Still sucks.

Yep pandora, slacker, and the music player all sound terrible through A2DP.

Phone fell on it's face when trying to use the experimental bluetooth files. Wouldn't boot or respond to anything. Going to restore my nandroid backup and call it a night. Looks like we'll have to wait for the update...
If anyone can offer some more insight in regard to what I should do with the files please let me know.
It looks like the Vibrant isn't the only Android phone suffering A2DP quality issues. Please vote on Android issue 9888 if you are experiencing subpar A2DP audio quality from your Android device!

Thanks for the heads up. Honestly sounds like a Bluetooth 3.0 issue with android now. Just shocked so few people are complaining.

The bluetooth connection with my RX 400 has horribly static. it is running rhe stock rom without the new ota. does anyone else have issues with their connections or suggestions?
Working with my 2011 Touareg. No static, but I don't play media through bluetooth. Just calls.
But it keeps trying to pair even after it successfully pairs.

most vehicles dont supports playing audio. i only care about the static issue
I have found that if I am holding it in my hand, then it does have alot of static. But if I do put it in my pocket with the back facing out, then I am fine.
I use it for phone and music and streaming podcasts paired with my Gen 3 Prius with no problems. Even the music sounds really good.

did you check the "don't ask again" option when pairing?
I'm running the current CM10.1 nightlies on an old Verizon Fascinate (Samsung Galaxy S i500). My issue is pretty generic, so I'm posting here...
I use a Plantronics Bluetooth headset that supports various profiles - represented in the JB 4.2.2 Bluetooth configuration as selectable options for "phone audio" and "media audio".
I usually want the headset configured for both, but when I put the phone in my car dock, I want the media audio redirected to the dock's audio output (via USB).
If I turn off the headset, the audio is configured to route through the dock properly and automatically... But I still wish to use the headset for phone audio when the phone is docked. If I manually configure the headset only for phone audio, that works too - but what a hassle going in and out of my Bluetooth configuration before and after each docking operation .
Any ideas on a way to automate this? Anyone know of a slick app that can handle this?

Did you ever come up with an answer for this? I'm definitely interested in the same thing I just haven't found a solution either.

Hi Jeff - yes I did get an awesome Dev working on the vzw fascinate, who goes by the handle of djp952, to adopt the idea and implement it in his GeeWiz ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38960693
I've since picked up a Samsung gs3, and haven't had the time/energy to plead for same option on the cm10.1 platform or better yet at the AOSP level. Please feel free to advocate for it.

I just upgraded my Rom to the Jedi XV12 rom without issue. Currently I'm experiencing a "silent" audio when the phone is synced to my car via bluetooth BT and trying to listen to Pandora. My car has the Pandora app and prior to this ROM I did not have the issue. I "turned" the volume up on the phone and it showed the BT audio at max... yet there was no sound. Is there something else I need to do or update on the phone?
Check the settings on your paired Bluetooth device and make sure media audio is selected. Otherwise I'm not sure. You might try to delete the device and re-pair it.

This. I bet that's you're problem too.
I Have to check both everytime I sync. Really wish the settings would stick after I sect both options
Try "BT Mono" from the play store. Not a fix per se, but it did the trick for me.

I questioned the developer of the ROM as well. Just did a wipe. Hope it works tomorrow. Media audio didn't do it. That didn't change. Worked before this ROM.

What music app are you using ? Did you try a different one ? I'm using Subsonic and I'm having issues with eq's.
My audio work with my Bluetooth in my car neither the in app nor Beat's eq's work. I did not have eq issues with Bean's which I'm probably going to switch back to.
Looks like Google Music app works with Beats so for me it was the app I was using.
Well, according to the thread title, [Q] BT Audio / Pandora / Jedi XV12, looks like he is using Pandora.
Interesting enough..... If I have BT Audio enabled for both Phone Audio and Media Audio.... ANY BT audio does not come through the BT device. If I uncheck the Phone Audio.... it plays just fine. The Controls for the player work fine in either scenario... just no audio if the Phone Audio is checked. I have had intermittent success by having the audio going.... unchecking phone audio... listening for a few... and then re-checking phone audio. Sometimes it will keep playing without issue.... other times it "mutes" the media audio even though it is checked.
Did I confuse anyone.... LOL
I have just bought a bluetooth speaker (JBL Charge) it usually works fine for a little while wioth my S3, then the connection seems to have issues, the music splutters and sometimes slows down or speeds up. I have tried connecting iphones and my nexus 10 which work fine, so I know its not the speakers.
I am using Omega ROM 45 4.2.2 but also on the 4.1.2 firmware it did the same I have done a full wipe etc.
Do you think a kernal change might solve the issue or would it be ROM related or just a dodgy bluetooth chip?
Has anyone else had issues with bluetooth sound peripherals?
Thanks for your help
Is there anyone who has no issues with Bluetooth streaming?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
It might be something with ROM. usually kernel dont create problems with that unless you changed settings in kernel for amplifying the sound in bluetooth. or if you are using third party equalizers. try uninstalling third party equalizers first.
I've been streaming music to my JVC RV-NB90B with no problems.
Using non-rooted Stock 4.1.2 MD3
