Hey guys I noticed today when I try to use my in box headset to control winamp it can't and keeps loading up the default music player. I noticed with headset plugged in, in the drop down menu it lists audio apps but no user added apps are there and yes I've tried ticking the options in winamp they don't work.
Any1 know how to get it to work or add it to the audio app list for the headset?
Edit: I also tried freezing the default music app that didn't work.

You're right. In contrary to the application shortcuts in the lock screen that can be easily customized in the Settings, there seem to be no way to customize the applications listed in the notifications drop down menu .

Has anyone found a way of altering the "System" volume through a Profile app or similar?
I've been using Quick Settings but it only changes "Ringtone", "Notification", "In-Call" and "Alarm" levels, i.e. four out of five, and can't update "System" volume. This means the noise that WhatsApp (for example) makes is the same whether I'm outside or fast asleep!
I thought in the sound setting menu u could alter 4 sound level which are in coming call, media, systems, and notifications.
That is what shown on my sound settings.

Sorry, you are absolutely correct! Only the three of In-coming, Media and Notifications can be changed by any Sound/Profile apps I've found. Apparently I can change the Alarm levels with different apps but that's not under the Sound Setting menu of the G2.
It is still the Systems level that I'm looking to automate changes to through an Profile app (ideally). I wonder if it's a Samsung thing or a Gingerbread thing...

I use Audioguru
I was a long time ios user that bought the galaxy note, and my biggest issue is controlling music apps.
On the iphone from the lockscreen regardless of what app I'm playing from (spotify, stitcher, ipod, whatever) I could easilly pause and play whatever I'm listening to from one interface.
I haven't found a way to do this with my Note. What I've resorted to doing is having a seperate spotify app widget, and a stitcher app widget, and an audible widget on my lockscreen so I can pause and play each of them pending on what I was listening to.
Please tell me there is a way around this.
Most of the good music apps have a setting to place controls on the lockscreen. Look in the apps settings.
beats audio
you should put beats audio on your phone

Yeah, thats what I have, but thats what I'm trying to avoid (having individual apps having lock screen controls). So on my lockscreen now I have A widget for stitcher, spotify, and audible. I was hoping to have one thing that allows me to pause/play what I'm listening to like I can on an ios device.

Sorry. I guess I wasn't really clear in my post. You don't need the widgets or icons in the lockscreen. Just go to the application and there "should" be a setting to allow the player in the lockscreen. Then, when you are playing something it will show in the lockscreen. But only while it is playing. Otherwise it is hidden, not visible. This works for my Poweramp app. I don't have the apps you listed so I can't get any more specific than this. Hope it helps.
Found the app Media Buttons
Does exactly what I needed. Now I can pause music from any app without having to think about whats playing.
Hello how can I extend the sounds offer of builtin sound selector by own sounds?
For ringtones copying to /sdcard/ringtones or /sdcard/media/audio/ringtones is working pretty fine, but for SMSs and various notifications the offer is still limited to builtin sounds only. Don't know where should I copy my own sounds so they could be covered in that file listing,
Both /system/media/audio/notifications and /mnt/sdcard/media/audio/notifications don't make any recognition (
As an alternative to this I'd accept an 3rd party audio picker able to browse any sdcard locations and select any of supported formats. The condition however is so that it could play a sound immediately after selecting just like builtin picker does...THX
Go settings sound and puck notification ringtone when its open nitification sounds just press a little icon in upper right corner

didnot know that, thanks:victory:
Since I updated to Lollipop, I noticed the lockscreen playback music controls are gone. I have tried multiple music apps, but none of them work. There isn't even a notification when the screen is locked, so I have to unlock my device every time I want to change songs/etc. Has anyone found a way around this problem/do you guys experience it too?
I too have that issue nit sure is that bug or not
I thought it was an issue, the I noticed because of security reasons my notifications weren't showing (you probably also get like "hidden message" notification when you receive a text. .) Just go to "sound" and look for the notification option... it's at the bottom..

no, that's not it. I have that set to "Show all content", but music controls still aren't displayed. When your device is locked, do you get the option to control music?

Hey folks,
So I was wondering why there are no media controls on my Honor 10's lock screen when music is playing (usually via Spotify).
It's not really cool to unlock the phone, swipe down, open spotify and press next when all you want to do is skip a song.
Do these controls show up on your lockscreen?
Did I maybe disable them without noticing?
Thanks for your answers in advance!

I do have them there, try disabling having to show your face to show notifications on lockscreen in face unlock settings, was a culprit for me before.

Hey thanks for your suggestion, I've now disabled face unlock, gave Spotify every possible permission (like ignore "do not disturb" mode, draw on lockscreen etc). But still nothing shows up on my lockscreen when music is playing from Spotify.
I even logged off from Spotify and on again like some people suggested in another forum. Didn't change anything.
However I noticed the stock music app makes fullscreen controls appear on the lockscreen (but I won't use that app).
Any further suggestions?

Actually yeah, one more suggestion. If you changed your lockscreen theme to anything other than the default one, change it back to default. For some reason notifications and everything that's supposed to be on the lockscreen is banned in custom themes. No clue what's wrong if it isn't this.

Thanks for this suggestion, too.
I already thought this might be a problem and changed it beforehand.
So now after I made all these changes:
Lockscreen design to default
Disabling Face Unlock
Enabling the rights for Spotify to send Lockscreen messages
Enabling all possible rights for Spotify basically
A notification for currently playing Spotify tracks shows up quite randomly.
I assume it needs some time to show up. It doesn't show immediately after I play music and lock the phone.
If turn on the screen like 3 minutes later, it's there sometimes.
Now it would be awesome if it showed up in fullscreen mode on the lockscreen (like the huawei music player does) and show up immediately.
Thanks for your help so far, feel free to post further suggestions if you come up with something.
