Hi..I have unlocked bootloader. I was previously on custom aosp ics based rom (4.0.3). Decided to go back to gingerbread (custom). Flashed night-elf kernel for stock rom v9.0 through fastboot. Installed rom through cwm. Rebooted the system. But it just stucks at the sony logo and reboots and the process goes on and on forever unless i pull out the battery.
Tried reflashing the kernel..no use! When i flash the kernel the phone reboots, the sonyericsson logo appears instead of sony. After that when i try to power on the device it gets stuck in the bootloop with "sony" logo rather than the sonyericsson logo. Help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi ... on my Xperia neoV I was using ICS Pureness Build 14 sp1 on stock kernel ... to be able to flash night-elf kernel I decided to unlock the bootloader ...
i did so using SE unlock code via fastboot (oem unlock 0xFFFFFFFFFFFF.... etc) ....
it completed unlock, but boot-looping since ...
i checked again in fastboot mode (oem unlock) ... says already unlocked .... so that's done ...
but cannot fix boot loop issue ... looking around the net for the last 3 hrs ...:crying:
help?

ok ... I was earlier unable to boot into CWM (which I had installed via xparts) while the phone was boot looping ... I do not know why ...
I randomly flashed Suave kernel ... it was still boot looping but I was now able to enter CWM (comes with the kernel I guess - DoomLord's Full) ...
I restored an earlier backup I had taken ... and now it's working fine ... http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/icons/icon8.gif

I too hav dis similar issue of bootloop
I rooted my neo v n unlocked its bootloader.
I was using pureness 10.1 as my custom rom
I just wanted to check d aokp rom so i flashed it it was all done correct
Bt after dat wen i rebooted my phone it was showing aokp logo n bootlooping
Now dat i hav wiped data n caches i cant enter d cwm
I tried flashing bt still bootlooping
Pls help me
I m searching for a proper reference since long

What about kernel?to use jb rom you need jb kernel... Since you don't have cwm you must be on stock... Just flash a jb kernel...

You can check my signature!
There's a link for all kernels n Roms for our device!
And you need to boot in fastboot mode to flash kernels (custom ones) not flashmode

You can go back to stock by flashing using flashtool or use seus...

Hello i recently bricked my xperia neo v.
I was rooted.
I did a change in build.prop something about deep sleep and it is stuck at boot loop
it says sony and the the screen goes dark then sony again and again and again the same.
I have the ics 4.0.3 wich i got thought seus.
Please help me fix it.

i have no backup
seus doent work at all
if i dont find a solution i will try to send it back for a replacement.

I don't want to unlock my bootloader the unofficial way.. I am not exactly Mr. Safe Hands so I am afraid I'll mess it up.
But I want to Unlock my bootloader officially. Because I know we can relock it later.
Whenever I soft brick my phone, I use Sony Update Service to fix it. But I am aware I can't do that if I unlock my bootloader the official way.
So how do I fix a soft brick after I unlock my bootloader the official way?
I would bow down with gratitude if someone could please share a step by step method

dont think that seus will help you always in my situation it didnt.
I used flash tool to unbrick.(from soft brick)
Also if you rellock with oficial method it will be in re-locked state and not Locked
you wont be able to recover because some keys will be lost...
anyway i dont reccomend unlocking anyway.

I've already unlocked! And I changed my kernel.
But I figured it out! Using flashtool.. I can fix a soft brick even if my bootloader is unlocked. I didn't like SUS much anyway.. I have a very slow net connection and, therefore, absolutely hate to watch the files download.
Flashtool is awesome!

Do u have nandroid backup?? Did u unlocked bootloader?? If not then reflash stock rom using flashtool with full wipe

You can just put any ics or jb or gb rom depending upon your present kernel and flash it from recovery.. Your phone will be fine

Hi i get same error, it is stuck on SONY logo.
i have global 4.0.4 release rooted with cwm installed i try flashing jj's hybrid, xperia pureness and neo v40 but all stuck on SONY logo after saying it has flashed successfully i have locked bootloader otherwise i would try different rom,

Why don't you try repair software via pc companion. It happened me too when I trief to flash custom Rom on locked bootloader repairing software via pc companion helped me to get back to phone working

i can't use that as my bootloader is locked,

i got stock ics 4.0.4ftf file.

as for as your problem i think you have not flashed JB kernel, their are so many kernels for JB choose one or read how to installrom from OP..
I would like to give a brief about locked and unlocked bootloader, it may help to other peeps
if you unlocked your bootloader it doesnt solve the bootloops, the main reason of bootloops are you have to use respected kernel for the respected rom, if you are flashing ics rom then you should be on ics kernel, same for ginger bread (GB) or jelly bean, you shouldnt be confused if you read the procedure of flashing the rom from OP,
whats wrong with locked bootloader?
if you accidently flashed any wrong mod or rom which is not suitable to your stock kernel you get bootloops, and you cannot restore backed up rom immediately because you have to reflash stock from scratch and then recovery, after then only you can flash etc, it is a very painfull process,
why to unlock bootloader..?
unlocked bootloader is like a muscle car , after unlocking you flash custom kernel which has cwm recovery per-installed , if you got any booloops you can easily manage restore backup, or you can flash custom rom which is compatible with flashed kernel, and you can easily switch kernels switch roms flash mods without worry,
this is explained in many ways and many times In xda, but peeps are lazy to search...

Gb kernel> Gb rom
Ics kernel> ics rom
Jb kernel> jb rom!
When flashing jb kernel flash a jb rom only! If u flash ics then bootloop or soft brick u can call

thanks ,but i'm sure that i use a jb 4.1.2 for my rom , i even try to use the kernel that they provide but still same problem.........the only way to boot my phone now is to flash the kernel(i'm using lupus) again (only works for the first time,after reboot need to flash again :crying: ) and i'm not stucked at the sony logo, it reboots after the sony logo but before the boot animation,so i don't even see the boot animation.

Why do you get Sony logo if you flash kernel... Are you sure you are fastbooting kernel instead of hotbooting?

O.O omg I just found my problem,I hotboot with flashtool not flash with fastboot.
I havent try it yet so I dunno If it'll work......so I hope it will work.

have you unlocked your bootloader before flashing this rom......if not first unlock it then start flashing custom romss..........other wise flash stock rom using flashtool..

You can tell if your bootloader is unlocked becuase YOU WILL HAVE UNLOCKED IT.
If you have not unlocked your bootloader, then it will still be locked.....
Get it....
If you want a rom for unlocked bootloader (That includes all jelly bean roms and CM roms) then YOU WILL HAVE TO UNLOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER.
As for links.....try the sticky threads, more than enough information on how to do it is there.
I've got problem after flash this Rom. Wifi doesn't work for me. Other than that just fine and if im not mistaken, this Rom also support Locked BL as mine is Locked BL but i've flash this Rom with stock kernel just fine. No problem except that wifi even turned it on and it do nothing. ;(

To fix your wifi you need to get the appropiate wifi modules for the rom..
I bet you cant even turn your wifi on...it just keeps sayng "enabling" or something similar....
Just flash the stock kernel again, or try the attachments
I do flash stock kernel and as a result wifi still does not work. Thanks for the stock kernel, i'll try it now. Hope it fix that wifi problems.

Did u made all wipes and fomats ??
Also try selecting less options in aroma !

If you want a rom for unlocked bootloader (That includes all jelly bean roms and CM roms) then YOU WILL HAVE TO UNLOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER.

I install jellysandwich 6.25 on my neo l without unlocking boothlooder and it install successfully but there is problem with my camera it doesn't work with it

Which kernel that you used b4 install JS 6.25? And does your wifi working too? My previous problem is that wifi didn't work and also the camera app crash. Even I flash the wifi from ICS stock, doesn't work too. Try using tigris kernel if u haven't try yet.

Check ur phone led, if red blinking means you're out of battery. Try to charge it for several hours and do it again either flash it with flash tool using stock firmware or SUS

I've tried the modules that u provide and it result me another failure, and dev suggest me to use tigris kernel that fix wifi problems and I realize that there's another problem. Camera app crash/doesn't work. Can anyone do a favour by uploading tigris kernel in ftf because im not familiar with .img or can brief shortly on how to flash it using .img file? Just to double confirm that from what I read on others thread, .img using fastboot..

what is the kernel name i have to flash before instal rom the jelly sandwich? i have instal the rom jelly sandwich, but stuck up when i turned on my neo L. my phone have been unlocked bootloader. please help me

i ws installing custom rom in my neo v........i rooted it first...then i entered into cwm recovery mode....then i installed zip rom from sd card.....then finally i rebooted it.....dont know rom ws properly installed or not.....now my cell is stucked at sony logo....neither i can enter into cwm mode......what shud i do now????? help me.....plz.....

Cwm goes when ever you do format system... Which Rom were you trying to install? What's boatloader status...

Yeah it worked....i used SEUC....n it repaired my phone.....thanks a lot man....
Then I follow all the procedure given in ur link to root.....then finally i root my mobile....n also entered ibto cwm recovery then I wipe data install zip of joyos rom bt this tym also I stucked at sony logo.....bt I didnt unlock boot loader....is this the reason or smthing else I missed....although joyos rom ws for both locked n unlocked.....help me again plz....

Go back again to stock using seus,
Now install the rom like that bro
Wipe factory
Wipe cache
Wipe dalvik cache..
Then mounts&storage
Format data
Format cache
Format system
Now install the miui

Joy os is gb right... But you were on ics before installing joy os... It won't work..if you wish to flash a gb rom you must be on stock gb... You will need to flash stock ftf of gb root cwm then flash joy os...

You need to unlock bootloader to flash any cyanogenmod based roms, unlock bootloader by test point method you won't lose dem keys.. See sticky threads for more information also see my signature link...

If you unlock you ll lose seus if you don't relock... But once you install a custom kernel you will almost always have access to cwm... You won't need seus...

Same problem: my cell was stuck at sony logo. During instalation of a custom rom in may neo V, I forgot to do a ”Format /System” from cwm. I tried with flashtool (latest versiaon, even the latest drivers) but no result because the option ”debug USB” wasn't activated. The only way I managed to bring back to life the my phone was sony update service :victory:

i am using xperia u st25i 6.0.b.3.188 with kernel 2.6.35.7, today i unlocked bootloader and than root my phone, everything was ok than i tried to flash kernel by 1 click flash kernel software , in that software i choose fastboot and than ICS / stock - 6.1.1.b.10 + touch cwm (by munjeni)
everything ok i got succeed message than my phone started to bootloop, sony logo comes around for 2-3 second and than reboot again !
i than also tried removing battery and than flashtool by two method fastboot and flash mode but nothing happen means phone is not responding at all, i am little worried about my phone, i request you to show me some tricks.

i tried once again via flashtool in flash mode and flashed 6.1.1.b.1.54 ftf and it worked, i got upgraded to ics 4.0.4 and kernel from 2.6.35.7 to 3.0.8+, i am thankful to your kind help and suggestion. thanks :good:
