UNOFFICIAL WEEKLY BUILDS OF CM9 ICS FOR GALAXY NOTE I717
THESE ROM BUILDS ARE OUTDATED, PLEASE USE THE OFFICIAL CYANOGENMOD 9 NIGHTLY BUILDS INSTEAD!
The CyanogenMod team is now building official nightlies for this ROM, so I am not going to continue building these builds as they would be identical to the official nightlies. If you were running any of my builds and wish to upgrade to a newer official nightly release, you do not have to perform any wipe or reset, just flash the official nightly build (and gapps) over the existing install.
The link to the official nightly builds is here: http://get.cm/?device=quincyatt
Thanks to everyone who supported my unofficial builds, and most of all thanks to the awesome CyanogenMod team for bringing us such an awesome ROM for our Notes!

What's the difference between your build and Hotwires?
Just asking...Thanks for devving for our NOTE!

Hotwire's build was built on 6-6-2012 and he said that he doesn't have much time, so it likely won't receive many updates. I asked him how he went about building and he posted a how-to guide. I have a Linux box that mostly just sits there acting as my file server and figured I could run more frequent builds on it. If you look at the changelogs, CyanogenMod 9 is a rapidly progressing project, receiving frequent updates from tons of developers. Many more popular devices have official nightly builds available, but our Note does not, so I figured that I could post bi-weekly or so updates to keep everyone up to date until the device is considered stable enough to receive official nightlies from the CyanogenMod team.
In short, this is the same ROM as hotwire's, but I'm going to build it and update regularly. The only big, noticeable new feature between my 6-17 release and hotwire's 6-6 release is the new Cid boot animation, but if you look at the changelogs you can see that there is more going on behind the scenes.
As this is the same base ROM as hotwire's, if you already have hotwire's ROM on your Note you can simply flash my build on top of it.

question
can this be flashed over top stock gb?
Thanks

No, as this is an ICS ROM it must be flashed over an ICS ROM. Hotwire recommended having a UCLE3 ROM installed and flashing over that (I'm still not sure if the UCLE3 kernel is included in the build or not). You will also have to wipe the data, cache, and dalvik-cache coming from a non-CM9 ROM so make sure you back up!

fantastic. i'll read through hotw1re and go from there. Sick and tired of waiting for Bell to get off the high horse and give us some desserrts to play with ..
Thanks again!

What steps do you recommend for a complete wipe, coming from a different ROM?

This is awesome! Thank you Calc!

i have
tried hotwires rom..he has the low volume issue..does yours?

Thank you for taking this on! Hotwires ROM is the single ROM that works for the way I use my phone.
I've tried just about every choice out there.. And there is always a "show stopper" for this kid.
I haven't found it on hws version and I look forward to trying yours
And I have a test release of the final 4.0.4 for a Canadian carrier.. I still prefer this ROM.

Everything looks good, except for Cid, who still creeps me out. Did a complete wipe and, this is the second time this has happened, I'm no longer throttled on AT&T. I've been throttled since the better part of last week, two weeks into my billing period, almost 15GB. Imagine my surprise when I flash this coming from Flap's CM9 and it dislodges the throttle and unleashing the full might of LTE. Any thoughts as to why this might occur? It did not happen when I moved from Hotwire to Flap, I was still throttled.
Annddd, throttled again. Fun while it lasted.

No it dosent....the latest update he had fixed that.. you should research before posting.. I know this because its posted all over the cm9 threads and have fixed mine..in fact I believe its the only cm9 rom with a volume fix.. Juggernaut and the other aokp/cm9 roms have volume issues...not hotwires I've tried them all

Are you referring to the issue where sound gets redirected out the front speaker (soft) when should be using the back speaker (louder)?
Or the volume issue where certain notifications were very soft?

Known Issues
Q/A
Q. Does this use a safe kernel?
A. Yes, at the moment it uses a pure CM kernel.
Q. How do I remove the pointer when using the S-Pen?
You can find info here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27930142&postcount=936
Q. Can I use the Thor kernel?
A. Only if you want to break your device.
Android (and the linux kernel that powers it) are open source. If linux and it's kernel were not open source, Android would not exist, or at least as we know it. If the Linux kernel was not protected by the GPL but Android was still open source, most of the development on this forum couldn't happen, including this kernel. Linux is based on openness, and the community participating and improving the code. I am a very strong believer in openness, I personally only work on open-source projects, because that's how things get better, new developers learn, and how great ROM's like AOKP and CM are born. Now, to the Thor kernel. The Thor kernel is not open-source. The GPL states that source must be provided upon request whenever a binary is distributed (the zip you flash for Thor is the binary). This isn't a suggestion, it's the law. The developer of the Thor kernel decided that he was too good, and would blatantly ignore the law. Even though his work would not be possible without the GPL in place, because there would be no Samsung kernel source for him to base his kernel off of. Also, you take his word that his kernel is safe. Nobody can confirm that without source. For all you know, his kernel could be collecting information on you (carrier IQ anyone?) Note: I am not saying that that is what is happening. I am however saying, that you do not know it isn't. Other kernels have peer review, other developers can see what's happening on open-source kernels. That is also why you do not see his work on XDA, because we require source to be posted. /rant
Q. Where can I find the latest builds and their md5's?
A. All of the N7000 files will be posted here, old and new.
Thanks.
Multilanguage?
Nice work! Pure Kang coming back to the Note is good news.
The CM9 kernel is not very good battery wise. Are there plans to support other kernels like Speedmod or Franco?

The kernel is stock CM9 at the moment. Last I checked neither speedmod nor franco were designed for AOSP ROM's, so no support for them yet. If that gets changed in the future, I will look at it.

Liquid was already using a leaked ICS kernel, so using franco's was just swapping the zImage.
In true fashion they should not work.

Most likely auto rotate will not work, and maybe wifi. Also you might face some force closes.
EDIT: in rare occasion it might not boot, so keep a flashable stock zip of this ROM in your sd card
Hi,
do we need to wipe data from CM9 ?
What I loved about AOKP vs CM9 was the lockscreen options to display calendar and weather but it seems that it's been merged in CM9 now so what are the + ?
thanks !

[ROM][21/07/13][JB/CM10.1/AOKP/RootBox] Nostromo [Pure]

Hi guys,
Welcome to the Nostromo ROM collection!
Currently building CM10.1, CM10, AOKP jb-mr1 and RootBox versions straight from branch and have included several tuning utilities and extras in the kitchen'ed versions (all free) that I normally can't do without. And yes the camera in the 4.2.1 versions of CM10.1 DO include Paranoramic shots!
The Para features in RootBox work exceptionally well! Woohoo!
160 DPi works well and all seems smooth plus memory seems to stay at ca 440M free. Only issue I've found so far was with Apex Launcher's drawer in vertical continuous mode, the text of the icons smeared and wouldn't reset. Using Paginated style solved that.
Main features of CM10.1 version are new notification layout, updated settings, 4x digital Zoom Camera(Z!) latest gapps support.
Download links for the ROMs, gapps JB and the DorimanX kernel I've tested:

Oh, how to install:
Just boot to recovery, wipe to factory if coming from another ROM, in Advanced wipre battery and dalvik then install the ROM.
The JB gapps are also needed. On the RootBox build you'll need to install the gapps even if doing an upgrade from a previous version.
If you want to install a custom kernel then I'd recommend DorimanX (I'm running that myself), but be sure to reboot to recovery from Advanced menu first to make sure it activates the CWM used by that kernel first then reboot to system.
Any problems just let me know!!

Features are incredibly good battery life, smooth, seems to work with any 3rd party JB kernel. I've not had any FC at all.
I also used Titanium Backup and restored straight from an ICS backup into JB, apps, data and all with no problems! Only issues I've ever had are when I tried to deodex the ROM and then the import wouldn't work but everything else is amazing!!
During the latest builds I've had EGL issues and the screen stays blank after booting with the new ROM. I've tried AOSP and AOKP with the same result and this started from beginning of October so the last good build I had was around September 30th.
Anyone else seen this?

Needs a custom kernel!! I'm using DorimanX V5.86-B3 JB Mali version now and it works!! with 160DPI too...
Yeah because it has the new Mali drivers that were introduced in the recent CM10 nighties - They require another kernel that utilises those drivers or rather, is compatible with them.

Yup! Running smooth now with both AOKP and CM10 builds using DormanX latest. Gonna try and use a SkyFire as well although that's the beta build I think still.
Build 4 on the way!
I'm currently building Build 4 versions of CM10 and AOKP and will kitchen those to include DorimanX kernels so they run fine with the latest Mali drivers plus will have several extra apps under /data/app to make the upgrade run a bit smoother!
can u atleast post a few images....

Nostromo 0.9 CM10 release.
It's here!! The latest build with stock kernel and no issues as far as I can tell!!! It boots and you can see a screen!! With gapps installed as well it's running nice and smoothly so now I'll be testing power saving etc to see how long it can last for but normally I set my display to remain active for 1 minute, never sleep WiFi and then tune the other bits for better power.
At least it'll boot with no custom kernel now so stock is fixed. And yes it's 4.1.2 CM10...
Again, massive thanks to the whole CM team, TeamHacksung and of course the developers of the apps I've included. I've included them because they are completely necessary in my mind and give functionality that SHOULD be in Android by default!!
:good:
Enjoy!!
Index
Hi, this ROM it's now featured on the Index of ROMs from the Android Development Forum.
Any observation please send me a PM.
Nostromo 0.9 new source tree
OK I completely redid the source tree for Nostromo 0.9 CM10. I'd had issues with gallery and battery life had dropped off back to ICS levels again. But, with Nostromo 0.9 I've been running 2 days and yesterday had 7 hours on battery with 35% used so 65% left so it's getting better. And that was 30% screen.
Hopefully this will help with others out there as well!
And I'm building the AOKP version right now.

New versions coming today as well!
Update coming soon!
It seems CyanogenMod have got a few issues with the libnl headers section so I'm building one now with the libnl-headers from the AOKP jellybean branch and that's going through. Otherwise it fails to build on the LLVM section...

I'm building again today as previous attempt a few days ago ended with a usable ROM but not the kernel package plus the netlink problems so will see how it goes.

* CyanogenMod's Github: http://github.com/cyanogenmod
This is a kang of CM12 with cherry picks from CyanogenMod’s Gerrit Instance, compiled by a group of volunteers that enjoy learning about and building CyanogenMod and Android in general. All credit goes to cyanogen, #teamdouche and the coders who submit to Gerrit. Thank you to @RyanMacG for providing Euroskank hosting.
These builds are bleeding-edge, most comparable to a nightly build, and are not meant for inexperienced users. Things will be broken and crash from time to time, you need to accept that this isn't stable by any means before flashing. Nandroid as often as possible.
How to post useful, informative bug reports:
Sometimes dev's actually check out our threads, or sometimes we have a good relationship with a dev or two. These bleeding-edge builds will have issues, and having good information on what's broken is great feedback before a feature is merged. Here are some good bug reporting tips:
* No bug reports while using custom kernels or add-ons:
CyangenMod's own bug reporting tool does not accept bug reports from people using non-stock kernels for a reason, so why should we? CM can merge changes to their kernel causing custom kernels to break things until they catch up. Therefore, please do not post any bug reports while using a custom kernel or add-on such as Xposed Framework. Post your issues with custom kernels in their own respective threads as they are the ones who need to play catch up. Any bug report posted in this thread should be while running CM's stock framework and kernel, as this prevents unnecessary clutter.
* Gapps are not a CM issue:
CyanogenMod is built to run without the assistance of Google's proprietary apps (gapps). Having issues with your Google account and syncing is a gapps issue, not a CM issue. Please do not post about any gapps related issues, just wipe data and try a different gapps package.
* Posting about the same bug every build:
Beating a dead horse with "bug X still isn't fixed" posts just adds unnecessary clutter and provides no help into actually fixing the issue. Some bugs take days to squash, some take weeks. Please don't report the same bug every time a build is uploaded.
* Logs:
Provide logcats when applicable. Use a service like Pastebin and put a link to the log in the post. Please do not post logs directly to the forum.
If these requests are too demanding, there's good news! CyanogenMod is open source, so please feel free to download the source code, compile your own builds volunteering your time and resources, then start a thread and run it however you see fit. All we simply ask is that people post good, reliable information that can be passed on to a developer that can actually do something with it, making CM a better product for everyone involved.

I don't understand what the problem is with sprint. The nexus 5 is an unlocked phone. But why are we having issues with some ROMs? is it APN related?

Yeah on AOSP based Roms, there's an extra commit that the devs need to include to get data to work on Sprint. I'm guessing in a couple weeks this won't be an issue as most of if not all Roms will have the fix included.

Just tried the latest Kang. No data. Hmm. Wonder what I did wrong. With ATT. Looks good though:good:
Anyone tried this with a different kernel?
Definitely my favorite flavor of CM kangs. Probably only works with certain kernels though still right?
Just tried with Franco r11 and android.phone fc'ed

No ART right? Yep.. only kernel that'll work with CM-based ROMs are stock or bricked kernel.

Make sure you are doing wipe BEFORE and not AFTER the flash (Wipe, flash, boot. NOT wipe, flash, wipe, boot). Check to make sure your IMEI is in place. If it is, confirm your APN settings. If it's not, that's a different story.
Just tried with Faux kernel, endless boot animation

Types of Releases:
MoKee OpenSource has 4 kinds of releases: official release, beta, nightlies, and unofficial builds.
Official release: This version is tested throughly by developers and users, so it is the most stable build
Beta: When a device is newly added, there will be beta versions for testing, but there might be unknown bugs and problems
Nightlies: Nightlies are compiled automatically by servers, so it will have the latest features but beware of uncompleted works
Unofficial builds: These builds are compiled from source or ported by non MoKee developers
Official Releases:
MoKee Open Source supports many devices, but the developers may not have all devices in hand, so if there are device maintainers that can help out, the official releases will be decided by them, MoKee Open Source will only maintain the nightlies to ensure the usability of the ROM. However, for devices with no device maintainers, MoKee Open Source will decide when to release official builds or nightlies. Therefore, if you have a device maintainer, please get the official releases from your respective device maintainer's thread or nightlies from MoKee Open Source.

If you mod, change, or alter the ROM from original flash (kernels apps tweaks) please report any issues in their correct thread.
I can not help you with their issues
I Hope you enjoy

I tested this with CWM 6.0.4.6
This is for AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note SGH-I717
Here is the latest CWM (6.0.4.6) recovery flashable! Boot into your recovery & flash this .zip. Go to advanced & select "reboot recovery" Grab it CWM-6.0.4.6-SGH-I717
Boots up just fine in case anybody wanted to know, letting it settle in so I haven't got to play around yet.

Check your playstore app please? I flashed again after everything was uploaded to make sure I would get the same results and the store was missing. The OP has been updated to the working gapps now. Sorry for any errors you may get with that download. Nothing major just missing the store app. Lol major enough I guess but not enough to mess up anything.
Edit. I have recently read things about Mokee having adware in it. I can confirm that adaway has not found anything in this rom. I will examine this more in other aspects as well.

I am going to upload a version without all of the chinese apps included in it. I hope you enjoy. I've been so busy and haven't played around a whole lot with this yet but so far it seems stable enough for a DD. I'll look into the camera, haven't even took any pics or video yet but it also has screen record in the power menu. It's sett to off by default & I don't know if it works yet.
Thanks for the ROM. Will try it out tonight. Our phones will never die...

Don't flash that one, it's not for the SGH-i717. If it doesn't end in quincyatt.zip it's not for our phone and could conceivably brick it. OP just linked to the wrong rom I think. We'll just have to wait for verification. :good:

Yes do not flash that one, I don't think it would even flash that to our device so bricking it should not be an issue.
Correct Link is now Live in the OP===> MoKee44.2-quincyatt
I flashed the Chinese version and everything thus far is fine. Thanks for your time & efforts in providing this to us.
Tested in principle, all is not bad works quite quickly, especially not only liked the camera, multilingual, but not all items installed only via
ClockworkMod recovery

This ROM runs quite nice. Thanks for the option. Definitely has some cool animations and who couldn't like the pigdroid in the boot screen!

Camera works fine. For video recording I use jb+ and it works. The stock cams video is the usual lines and colors. Time delay for video recording is also around 5 seconds or so before it starts (again same as the other kitkat/cyanogen roms I've tried)

Folks there has been upstream commits going on over the past couple of days. I'm really looking forward to getting a new build out to fix the camera recording issues and the governor controls. I'm just waiting to make sure all the commits have been pushed. Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

[ROM][Bacon][5.0.2][Unofficial] Daily CM12 builds (with latest patches)

Check http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...g-cm12-1-builds-patches-t3288460#post64702651 for CM12.1 builds.
For now I'm sticking with CM12 as a daily driver, because Xposed isn't ready for me on 5.1 (Amplify, Greenify, XGELS don't work yet). (not true anymore)
CM isn't building CM12 anymore, since CM12.1 made it to the nightlies (15/04/2015). Still, many patches continue to go into CM12 branch. That's why I've decided to continue building it, first for my own use, so I can also benefit from those latest patches. And anyone else on CM12 still can also enjoy them if they want!
I'm not taking any credit in the rom itself, I'm just building it. It's PURE CM12, no GApps, no mod added, nothing modified or removed.

Exactly what I was looking for. I need cm12 for Xposed, and the official nightlies have all gone 404. Thanks!
As far as Xposed goes, which version are you using with this rom? There are a few versions floating around, official and unofficial. I have tried 2 of them and got bootloops after installation (on a different rom). Not really a big deal, but if it could be avoided by knowing which one works, that would be much appreciated.

Builds are like nightlies, I pull the latest source from CM12 repos (with latest commits merged in CM Gerrit to cm-12.0 branch) and I build it every day, then push it to Mega and instantely push a new notification. (well it's pretty much all automated).
New CM12 05/05 build for One Plus
Hi, new CM12 05/05 build is out, check this link:
cm-12-20150505-UNOFFICIAL-bacon.zip
md5: c6de7fd2a42cd9c2043f136840ea3a6c
I have tried one of the prior builds (4th May) and the rom works like a charm. It pretty much does everything that you'd expect from a nightly as far features go. The rom by itself was stable with no problems at all with my limited use.
That being said, if someone else wants to try this rom for Xposed only, I have had limited success. The problem is not with the rom, but with Xposed. The installer itself is in alpha stage, so this is obviously expected. After installing the zip installer and apk and installing a few modules, I get a black screen on reboot. The screen is on, but does not display anything. If I had more time, I would troubleshoot but I needed my phone in a working state, so I restored nandroid.
Great job on the builds, OP. I'll give things another shot as soon as I get more time. It's an inconvenience that all big roms are hopping on to the 5.1 train and dropping support for 5.0. I honestly appreciate what you are trying to do here. Thank you

Thank you sir .
I'm using it myself, with Xposed (that's the reason why I still use CM12). So it works.
Of course, I'm not flashing every one of the new builds (I flash more or less once a week.), I rely on CM commits quality (which is under the Gerrit Review process), but nevertheless, it's possible that one day one build would have some problem. It's nightlies and well that's comes with it . Hopefully the next build will fix the problem.
I'm just a builder here (for that project at least).
