I bought phone from Ebay as France model and I flash to gen SG 0.73 firmware. Yesterday when I connect to PC, it notified that I have a new update which I did. Now I have 0.75 and don't know if it's SG or what I have:
customization version: 1257-6921_R7E
phone software 1252-0023_6.0.A.3.75
Yes, should be.

Hi everyone
I just bought an unlocked (I think since it is working in Pakistan) Orange branded HTC Hero yesterday. The specs are:
Firmware Number: 1.5
Build number: 1.76.61.3
Software Version: 1.0.0.A6288
I was wondering which update should I use to update it? Do I need the Orange one or the generic one? which is the latest available update?
Noob here for Android, all help highly appreciated, and needed urgently
Thanks
At a guess the Orange ROM. Check by entering your Hero serial number into the appropriate area on the HTC update page.
Would that lock the phone again? or can i still use it here in Pk?
Not sure TBH.
It shouldn't do - unlocked mine before updating using Orange update ROM and it is still unlocked after update.
which version did you upgrade to and what process did you use to unlock?
Are you using your phone in UK and/or with Orange?
I got my handset on contract with Orange UK, unlocked with a code from http://htcunlocking.co.uk/HTC/Hero, updated to software 2.73 with the Orange Specific update from the HTC UK Support site and still use both Orange UK / Lebara Mobile / Vodafone Italy cards in it.
Two days ago my phone (Hong Kong Version) popped up an update notification to version V10B. The last current version of the hong kong firmware was V10A and it seems to work pretty well (No sd unmount or random reboots whatsoever). I have it rooted and using mikos kernel. Does anyone know what changes does this new firmware brings to the table? 2.2.1(unrooteable)? any kind of fix or added feature?
Thnks
1. Unrootable
2. Sd unmount issue
3. Pretty laggy compare to 2.2
4. Consume little bit extra ram compare to 2.2
I myself upgraded but then downgraded using kdz flasher.

No.
Updates comes from phone codes only. Asia phone updates when Asia updates.

Hi Everyone,
I have a Razr xt910 which I bought from Egypt and when I try to find if I'm going to get the JB update I cannot find my phone listed so it appears that it's imported from different country (whatever, long story )
my problem is that I need to get the official update but I think my version was from those countries Motorola decided to punish them for buying their device, so any way to get it?!
P.S: I'am attaching screenshots for my device information
The version you are now is the middle east version. The official update which is released yesterday is for Verizon only, but it will also come to Europe,France and Germany soon,so you will not get the update. But you can flash the EU version via RSD Lite

Hello,
I just received a tabletz2, it came all the way from hongkong (im from Belgium). As it was cheaper this way. But now I can only choose asian countries. How would I be able to choose Belgium? Do I need to install the Belgium firmware, and where would I download this?
I also seem to have only few regions without the option for Us or Canada. Mine came from Singapore
