Apparently, Motorola decided to put a "phone home" process called qe on our phones. I did a brief search on XDA and didn't find anything about qe.
So, does anyone know how to properly disable qe? I could try renaming the executable or something more indepth, but I was hoping that someone smarter than me could look into this and help me figure it out.

On my ICS .211 build, it is located at /xbin/qe
(That is a Q, btw.)
If I missed a thread somewhere about this, please let me know. Thanks.

If I remember correctly, the atrix bootloader unlock was developed because someone found something similar in an atrix flash.
I'm sure this is nothing, but can someone explain why this is here? Is this for the developers edition?
Thanks.

Actually it's there because of internal corporate politics. Rumor (from someone who has reason to know) is that someone at Moto who has been a key figure behind the locking is about to get the axe.
Hello all.
I just installed Paranoid V2.1.
It works great.
The only trouble is google search widget on homescreen. Its not just on one homescreen but on all other homescreens too at the same place.
I am unable to remove it. I think i placed it here accidently, although i dont remember much...

Here's a screenshot of widget->

I don't need how to solve, I have tried everything and nothing works, I only wants to know if it's normal to send it to Samsung.
Thanks!

Well guys pretty much what the title says. I was looking for an older APK of a game. Downloaded what I thought was the APK and installed, it was a spoof... Now I cant uninstall it through settings. How can I delete this, its probably safe to assume its got a RAT or something built into it so id love to get it off my phone ASAP
