My phone no longer automatically connects to the mobile network when I turn off wifi the way it used to. I have to manually turn it on now. Is there a setting for the this?

Hey,
I have a problem with 3g, when i active it internet works fine, but when i'm using kakao talk it randomly works.
When i'm using my wifi at home it always work so i wonder is there any setting i could do to make it work all the time?
By working i mean that the app is connected to internet.

Is there a way to modify the wifi and mobile network polling rates? My phone dies like a dog at work due to no reception.

Wi-Fi scan is a tweak in build.prop. There is a app called .prop tweaker or editor I believe.

Whenever I'm in a poor signal area I just turn off mobile data and wifi. That way you don't have to worry about your radio constantly searching for better signals when your not even using it.

I just turn my phone off completely. Great battery life, and I never have to worry about it searching for signal. Bonus: with all the new kernels popping up, when my phone is turned off it sleeps like a sloth.
Try it out!
Appreciate the replies but i use offline apps all day so i can't power down.
Anyone else know?

Just got this phone and the WiFi connection seems to disconnect every time I'm using it. It recconects in seconds but is annoying because its constantly dropping the connection. Not a router or modem issue because my iPad and my sisters gs3 work just fine with the WiFi. Any solutions?

Router settings:
Authentication method: wpa2-personal
WPA encryption: AES
It has to do with your router. For some reason some routers with some settings do not play nice with the dna.

I forgot to mention, It does not like an unsecured connection
is it doing this all the time or only at night cause HTC included smartsync which does this to data and wifi from like 8pm-6am. If so get https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jonny.smartsyncdisabler from the play store enable it and reboot and problem solved. If you think its your router what model you have because it probably isn't.

No idea if anyone has made an app that would do that. It's a niche request, but perhaps someone has put up a firewall or port forwarding type app that would be capable.
The way that I would do it is to use the command line program, iptables.
