i got google wallet up and running with CM9 and then i flashed the new update for cm9 but forgot to clear my wallet data. I didnt delete or wipe any data, only installed the new rom so all my apps were there. i had to re add google wallet and now im back stuck at activating account. im happy im not getting the secure element error but should i wipe my data or is there a fix???
Anyone? I'm on a GNex stuck with the same error...

I just reinstalled cm7 nightly over the same existing one wiped cache and davlik but know my google account is gone and when i go to add account i can only add an exchange account. Any ideas on how to get my account back with out a factory reset?
Edit
flashed gaps again and all is well
okay so i flashed speed rom 7.8 and it was working well, i did a full wipe and flashed the new 8.0 but i keep getting a google sign-in error anytime i use the google now, and a few of my google apps wont work, they either force close or give me an "unable to connect to google servers". which is weird because play store works... i tried a few other roms but they all keep giving me the same error
Solution:
flashed 7.8 signed into google and then wiped everything BUT DATA then flashed the rom that was giving me the sign-in error (fixed it because my account data was still there after flashing the new rom)
Has anyone else experienced Google Now>Settings>Phone Search being completely empty? Usually I've had the ability to check mark apps such as contacts but now don't have access to any of them. I am running 4.4 VZW Droid Maxx rooted with xposed and GNL 1.0.16.1154249 and Search 3.4.16.1149292.arm. I have already tried uninstalling xposed framework, wiping data and cache of both, rebooting, etc. Any other ideas?
I am having the same issue, running 4.4.4 galaxy s4 katoonz Google edition with CM can't figure it out

need help!!!
Hello, I have been experiencing similar problem. Phone search would not find me contacts. When I enter Google now settings, search & now, then phone search. It's all blank. I tried clearing cache, uninstall, reboot. Only way to fix I find temporarily is to factory reset phone. But when logged in, Google search updates and it goes blank again. Need help!
So here is my basic issue at the moment:
I can get google play to work but uninstalling in titanium back up and reinstalling the apk manually and making it a system app. BUT it wont let me download apps or upfmdate apps or update google play services also I can't sync my contacts from my gmail account with my device. Thanks to one of the admins on here I was able to get google play up and running after it crashed the first time but sadly it has stopped functioning all together now. I have tried clearing the cache I haave wiped data but to no avail. I have even gone through the sames steps I used on my last thread to geet it working again but sadly the app fails after 2 to 3 minutes of being reinstalled. Does anyone know of a fix for this kind of an issue?
When I try to download apps it gives me the following error now
Error retrieving information from server
[RPC:S-7:AEC-0]
Wipe Cache in recovery
That got playstore up and running still no contacts syncing tho :/

restoring anything to /system using titanium in lollipop doesn't work, yet. Remove your google account in settings/accounts then wipe cache again, you won't lose anything. Then wipe data from google services and play store, you can use titanium to do that. Reboot, wipe cache again, then add your google account (do not restore it from a backup) in settings/accounts, and let it sync.
also,
if you're using any kind of nodded play store to do that first sync it won't work

I don't think I have a modded apk ill post the error codes I'm getting then try your method playstore just crashed and now I can't download apps :/
Try to get a apk of titianium backup and unintalll the playstore and replace it with a verison from a set of gapps
As it stands atm I cannot access playstore at all to update anything it stopped giving me error codes also. What I normally do when this happens is I uninstall playstore I remove my gmail account and wipe play services cache this used to fix it but now when I do all that playstore does nothing it just gives me a blank page
google play had one of its own updates then its not working.....only server error and store stettings page!
tried clearing all data and uninstalling updates but still getting the same error!!
I had the same error and tried:
Clearing data of Google Play and Google Play Services
Wiping cache and dalvik cache in recovery
Signing out of Google account and signing back in
All of which didn't work. Maybe you could try flashing opengapps over the ROM you're currently running.
Personally, I took this as an opportunity to jump from PixelExperience to LineageOS since I thought factory resetting was my only option.
Cheers!
It was temporary halt, reboot your router and phone and check it later...your problem will be resolved...
