I am using "Sony Bridge for MAC" and shows that my device has tha last version I heard everybody saing about PC Companion but I think that Sony Bridge for MAC supose to be the same as PC Companion for Windows.
Thank you.

The update is not out yet.
Nothing to discuss.
I will clean up the HUGE mess on the official discussion thread and re-open it at some point.
Meanwhile, try to focus on something other than the ICS update entirely.
Thanks for your cooperation.

That's unrelated. You can use flashtool to update, see the sticky in the dev section.
Have you tried updating your .fw OTA?
problem UpDate the phone Xperia Neo.

Flashtool.
Nice, you have brown phone. Remove battery and check on sticker on phone, most likely you will see prototype
you can try with SEUS, I don't expect it to work but you can try.
Don't know if flashtool supports brown phones, I would first ask creator of flashtool. I expect it to work, but ask first
if it says prototype, I would first check what fw is on the phone, is it branded, what region.
some prototypes can die if you flash new fw on them.

Well, not really a big worry. Some people want to have prototypes
Prototypes, from phone models which actually released, meaning you can find that phone model in store, can sometimes be final products, meaning even though they are prototypes, they can be flashed and used like other units. I have one W715, it's final version of prototype, so it can be flashed, but it wasn't in store
Prototypes, from phone models which aren't released are more likely tricky, it need to be careful with them.

If it's working as it is, and if it isn't branded fw, I wouldn't mess with it
Would like to hear OP, what is the situation with phone. And did he bought it in store, or get trough some other ways
hello every!
I have an Active used Android 2.3.4, What can I do to update it to 4.0.4 ISC? I have tried Sony PC companition, but it still say " your phone is up to date". Anyone have link to download ISC rom for SE xperia Active? or any way to update it? pls Help me. Thanks
Im sorry sir, are you retarded? Have you tried using search? No.
Have you seen the Official Sony Forums saying anything regarding the update being released for the Active? No.
Have you seen anyone else saying they have updated their Active to ICS? No.
I guess that answers your question.
Unfortunately the update has been further delayed, it was supposed to be out this week but it's not out yet although all other 2011 models got it. You can check on the son mobile site for when the update will be out compatibly with your si number

and I think it available.
Hi guys,
in the first sorry for my bad english writing !
I check the SUS and Pc companion and blogs and topics of Sony.
(I can't put link because I dont have enough post.)
And don't find my SI number while the topics are closed !
This mean that this topic don't need to update an my SI is not important to add to list !
I use flash tools to update ICS, but it is not good that we haven't support from Sony.
If any one know any thing about this problem please ... !?
Thank you !
The official thread are closed and are edited whenever new SIs come out. Sooner or later you'll get official ICS for your SI.

Well, I got tired of waiting for the official update, so I did it with flash tool too .I'm guessing you have a branded cellphone right? Because that might be the main reason of your problem (at least that's my case)
Luckily there's xda for us

when ics update comes, repair with PCC/SUS..
Only about 10% of Xperia Mini's got update...
you have to wait..as sony say their servers are overloaded..
No, luckily my phone is good ! Although in ICS I have some small problems, for example crash some applications or small bug in other parts of OS, but other main things is good .
I think too the delay of releasing is for forced Sony servers in past days.

Hi, I have an Italian Generic Xperia S. On Sony Mobile's blog they clearly stated one of the three methods you can update your S to ICS is OTA through the Update centre. In fact when I first got my S I was able to update to .73 OTA. Now just yesterday I got the notification to update to ICS on my Xperia S and to my utter dismay it said I have to do it through PC Companion. Why can't I do it OTA when Sony said I can?
The update will be directly accessible in your phone over mobile networks and WiFi, but also with the option of upgrading using a computer – either with our web-based Xperia Update, PC Companion or Bridge for Mac.

Its to large and flash would be incomplete in OTA.

Then install flashtool.
What about through the website, can you upgrade using that Java powered online updater?

You should be able to do that if you have the drivers.
Judging by this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1916419
Many people are trying to flash ST25a firmware just to get the ICS update.
However if you are in Europe and have the ST25i model you can get the official update via PC companion. It doesnt tell you via OTA but when you connect the phone to pc companion you will be notified of the available update.
Hope this saves quite a few people from flashing the wrong firmware as many were having issues with it.
