I picked up a Zeki TB782B for my kids to use and I have been really happy with it as an entertainment tablet. I have put my daughters gmail account into it and gmail works great, but contacts app does not show up anywhere including apps. It is on the tablet as a native app, Titanium is backing it up and it seems like it should be running. I rolled back the system updates to the app and still nothing.
BTW, came stock with 4.0.3 and it came stock rooted with busybox! I love it.
Any ideas???

I have added the gmail and used my yahoo account it pulls up but no contacts listed how do i get these to show -also
when i am in the photo galley and click on a picture in the upper right hand corner is a sideways triangle (share button) a trash can and menu
however if i select the share button it does nothing - my daughter and i have the same tablet and hers allows her to email the photo quickly by tapping this icon < and gives her like twitter etc options to send the picture too however mine does not - i called the tech support and they were no help can you please advise on how to get this option available on mine- thanks

I have a nexus 7, and have been looking at putting a tablet in my truck. Dash mounted. I figured I would just buy two of these for the same price, but I cant seem to find anyone saying if this tablet has GPS or not
PLEASE let me know if it has GPS, I would probabley just tether it or use a gps app that downloads the maps. That is what I was goign to do with my nexus but dont want to spend anymore money and want to leave the tab in the dash permanently so I want two lol

I have the TB892B and have been trying to do some upgrades. Many posts say that the TB782 ROM will work but when I installed it, the screen resolution is wrong. It shows a 7" screen on an 8" device and the first inch and top inch of the screen are repeated like wraparound. So it can be used but it is too distracting to have parts of the screen duplicated.

[I have the Zeki 7" tablet TB782B and have downloaded and saved several movies (not to an SD card) using the Comcast Xfinity TV Player. How do I locate those files so that I can delete them and free up storage space? I used one of the file managers but I cannot find the files. Thanks!

The Amazon Instant Video APK has been pulled from the Kindle Fire and can be installed on the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
A couple of caveats:
(1) To use the Prime Instant video features, you must first purchase something to login. There is no separate login otherwise.
(2) It appears to only work over wifi
(3) If your device is rooted, it will not work.

Umm...for the simple fact that you can use Voodoo OTA temp unroot from the Market. Also the new version of this APK in todays 6.2 update doesnt work. It says this device is not suppose to be able to run Amazon Video Player.
I assume Amazon is cracking down...

Never heard of temp unroot, thanks, but yeah, as of late, amazon released a fire update, ruining everyones root on the fire and deleting the market. Probably part of that updated.

What do you mean it runs great? I get to the point of seeing the button to play the video, but it is grayed out. I can play Amazon videos fine on my Exhibit II by temporarily unrooting the stock OS. It seems Cyanogenmod is somehow detected, because it doesn't work on my Nook Color with the Cyanogenmod either.

whoever wrote this article obviously has never had the balls to root a device and actually see what is possible, or even research it for that matter
I have the apk that allows me to play the videos for free that come with the amazon prime account (I signed up for a free month), but I don't see how to 'borrow' a book for free - this also comes with the prime account on kindle devices. Anyone have any information on how to do this on a Galaxy Tab?
Only Kindle devices can borrow books for free with the Prime membership. (you borrow directly from the device)
Two things. One KFHD looks for the device to be logged into amazon, I bet this requires framework not on our devices. Two, probably crashes when trying to view due to same.
Bottom line? Besides logcats to figure things out, I'm pretty sure a system dump will be needed to get the correct files to go with this......

Same thing happens to me! ?
You don't need to temp in root either. There's an xposed module called root cloak that let's you pick specific apps to hide root from. Works great

Download link works for me. App works with live streaming of cable channels, plus remote control of cable boxes in my home. As the OP described, you need to clear the app data and sign in each time you run the app. Good find.

When I tried to use live TV feature with the App in google play it says that my device is not supported. This one works perfect on my 10" tablet.
now im really happy. because this is much nicer to watch on than my 4.5" phone screen.
The next thing I need to figure out is how I can watch the optimum app on the road. (not on my home router). They say to use VPN, I can see that working, however Id like a simpler option, if at all possible.

So it works fine when u install and run it first time. once u close out of the app and restart it goes back to saying "not supported". Why is this? is there anything we can do to make this work. I think it might be VERY inconvienent to constantly uninstalling/reinstalling everytime i have to open and close this app.

Hello, I'm thinking of buying a tablet off FocalPrice for $73 and there are two different models I'm thinking of;
B700 7" Android 4.1.1 or GD IPPO M7 7" Android 4.2.2
Now my questions are;
1) If I try the Google store to download apps and the tablet is not compatable, can you please post the link I need to Root it?
2) Do I need to Root it to allow me to download and install apps on my own?

1) If the tablet is not compatible with an App, you can download the.apk file from any other source and run it to the point that your device is capable of doing so. For instance, Play Store displayed Whatsapp as incompatible on a Samsung Galaxy Star. I downloaded the .apk from the Whatsapp website and installed it and its working fine.
2) No, you dont need to root to install apps of your own, you just need to enable installing .apk's other than those from play store from the Android Settings. However, there are some apps that will require Root to function, but these apps are usually advanced functions.

You only need to download the apk file, copy to your device (internal or external memory, it doesn't mater) and install it using any file explorer (surely your device will come with a file explorer preinstalled). That's it.
The best deivce you have listed from them is the 2nd one due to the fact that it is running the latest version of android. You don't need root to install most apps and games but you might sometimes come across apps that need root to do specific tasks.

My tablet says it supports screen scale adjustment between 4:3 & 16:9 and 2D & 3D but when I play a 3D movie I just get the two screens side by side. Is there a trick in getting 3D to work properly?

I have the same exact tablet. All was working fine until today, when the word "DEMO" appeared in bright red in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. Went into recovery mode and did a factory reset, but it is still there. Anyone know how to get rid of it?

Had it less than a month. Actually ordered two, only one has the problem with DEMO in the corner. Don't think it has Bluetooth. Contacted the seller about my issue, so hopefully will get it addressed.

I don't know about yours but I also bought a Chinese tablet. The specs stated that Bluetooth N/A and there were no Bluetooth settings in the settings but I downloaded a Bluetooth File Transfer software from Play and was shocked to find out that my tab actually had Bluetooth! I could transfer files but haven't checked a headset. I can turn it on from any Bluetooth switch widget

Under Music it says "No Music was found on your device" and it doesn't seem to allow me to click any of the buttons to open more menus etc. I can login via my PC and see my Cloud Music, I can login via the web, but not via the Kindle. Any ideas? I am in New Zealand.
I would like to install SwiftKey or Swype, can I sideload or will this break everything?

as for the music, i use google music, but the few times i tried cloud stuff in the tablet, it seems you have to either transfer stuff via USB or download stuff so then it all gets saved into the cloud service... again i havent paid much attention to this, so perhaps any other member may provide some more input...
I have installed Switkey and is rocking!
only issue is that, due to the nav bar, you loose space out of the screen and thus need to move a bit to the left the keyboard in order to fully see all the keys, other than that dont worry, it wont harm your device nor OS.

Which Cloud service are you referring to?
I side-loaded CloudAround and have been using that to stream music from my box.com account. It's working pretty well so far, though I had some issues getting it to read all of the ID3 tags initially. I found that I could just re-save any unrecognized tag data using MP3Tag, and CloudAround would pick it up after that.

I am having this problem only with MY Mate 2 and no other device. I also attached some pictures so everyone can better understand.
Anything to do with eBay on my phone is not showing any pictures. I noticed this first with my eBay app about a week ago the other day I needed it so I used chrome and went to ebay.com and on chrome the pictures were also missing (see attached pics) I also installed Dolphin Browser and again the same problem. I gave up after clearing all my cache under app settings for ebay and chrome. I also used a file explorer and search for anything with "ebay" in it and deleted it. Nothing. Every time I go to ebay the app or website on 2 different browsers all the pictuers are missing. I gave up and factory reset it and the problem is still there! This is only on my Mate 2! Anyone have any suggestions on where to look or what to delete to make the pics come back up? I googled everywhere and nothing! everyone just says clear your cache or uninstall and reinstall and if all else fails factory reset. I did all of this! and I'm still unable to use ebay anyway on my phone! even if i'm not logged into ebay so its not an account issue.

it has to be something on the phones themselves... Its working on all my other devices. I have a lot of other devices. or a compatibality problem. Can anyone with the HAM2 on JB just tell me if ebay is showing all pictues.. do a search for some things also just dont open the app and say its working. lol. I'm also moving the thread to Q&A because lack of help! so sad. I need my ebay.

When you do above test with laptop, is the laptop connect to internet same way as your MATE2, like both use your home wifi? or your phone maybe use carrier data plan?
Something maybe obvious from your side, but pls clarify, so I don't need to make any incorrect guess/assumption when troubleshooting.

the phone was tested on the same router as my laptop also on mobile data and my girlfirends router. In other words. OMG PICS STILL MISSING ONLY ON MY MATE 2. I'm about to chuck the phone at the wall!
I got IT!. Somehow the latest version of AdFree hostlist does not work on my phone and when I uninstalled it originally I did not revert back to the previous list first! I rolled back to when I had adfree installed and then reverted back to my orignal list now its working again. I uninstalled Adfree. But FML I had it forever and it was working fine
So adfree is the problem? I'm having that same problem when I open the new balance page lol

yes when you open up AdFree you will see a option to revert back on the bottom if you really want it for NB
