[Q] How long your Battery lasts? (Xperia Sola) - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

How many hours of juice you squeeze out of your Xperia Sola?
Post here your battery stats alongwith your typical usage.
B-)

I don't have much stats yet, but one thing I have realised is that the screen draws a lot of juice. Don't have any figures but I really can see the battery level dropping bit by bit when using the phone, but between uses the level stays stable.
Phone on standby over the night (8 hours, Titanium backup doing backup and all sync on "normal") it only dropped from 100% to 96%.

Never saw such good battery life on my EVO4G or My Nexus S4G

Battery life has been pretty great on my EVO 3D using juice defender and SetCPU.
Switched to Sprint for this thing yesterday and I gotta agree. Coming from an SGS I've learned to be paranoid about my battery life, so when I barely see the battery draining off this thing I have myself convinced that it HAS to be a bug lol
How is your awake time so low compared to your up time!!
How can I see what is keeping my phone awake.

Because in the time that the phone has actually been powered on, its only been in use 4 hours. If he had been really using it, the battery would be down more than it is, but its still good battery life.
I agree, of all the devices have had so far, HERO, EVO 4G, EPIC, 3D. the 3D (comparing all of them on stock) has had the best battery life of them all. Heck even my Rooted EPIC with SFR 1.1.1 didnt get quite as good battery life, and it was rooted.
you guys know that the 3d has a larger battery than all those phones listed right?
still has the best battery i've used.
Well you will get amazing battery life turning the display brightness down anyday though. Still i have to agree this phone has great battery life. On auto my biggest battery drainer is the display but still I can get through all day with the phone. I unplugged the phone yesterday at 6 in the morning and at 9 at night I still had 20% battery life and that is with medium usage.
you barely used it. i can get great standby time too. but once i have the screen on and turn data on or a game you drop something like 10 percent an hour.
in the past 53 minutes ive had my screen on for 17 minutes. lost 8 percent.
Up Time: 37:49:30
Awake Time: 05:17:50
Battery Remaining - 52%
Impressed with battery life thus far.
I think the battery life is even better at 1.5 GHz and stock voltage.
well you guys are lucky cause my battery life stinks. medium usage, brightness at 30% sync accounts knocked back , no 4g and im getting 4-5 hours out of this thing which I think is terrible. something is wrong. Anyone else experiencing the same ?
how much of the battery is listed as "display"? last week while i was working i would leave my phone in my truck and come check on it an hour later to notice a 30%+ drop in battery. it would die after only being unplugged for 5 hours. but then i realized my screen wasn't ever turning off so if i got a text, notification, etc. that turned my screen on, my battery got drained idling in my truck.
rebooting usually fixed it but i think it was one of the early temp roots that really was causing it because i don't think it happens anymore
under battery usage the display is 75% percent of drain the rest is voice calls
mine is stock, no root here
Wow thats crazy my phone has an up time of 87 hours and an awake time of 69, i still have 95% battery left.
I'm dominating all of you.
Or maybe those two numbers mean nothing besides how long the phone has been on, and not anything to do with battery

Battery life is awesome on this phone. I still think its too good to be true. When I turn off mobile data, I can easily go a whole weekend without charging my phone. And that's with sending and receiving over a thousand texts, taking random drunken pics and vids, and talking on the phone for long periods of time. I only turn on mobile data when I need to sync up for fb, email and such or look up stuff, and I've pretty much been charging my phone every other day, and sometimes on the 3rd day. This alone makes this phone priceless to me and I've never been so satisfied with a phone like I am now.

All and all battery life on this phone is average. It lasts the same 9-10 hours as every other android i've owned. I spend the same amount of time doing the same things day in day out.
The only android I've ever noticed an exception was the NS4G and it had crazy battery life, easily 20 hours.
I think its better to post time the display or voice calls was used rather than percentage.
I'm at about 13 hrs usage with about 2hrs and 50 minutes with the display on. Probably close to 20% battery left

[Q][SK17i][FXP117 7.2.0] Battery curve readings

Hello,
I've been wondering if it's possible to recalibrate how the system reads the remaining battery charge. I'm using Rage 2.8 kernel for FXP and battery life is very good (over 30h with moderate HSDPA youtube streaming, browsing etc.), but what bugs me is that it goes from 100% to 80% extremely fast, then it slows down as it reaches 0%, it can hang on 1% for an hour before it finally shuts down.
I'd like it to be somewhat linear (even if the real physical battery discharge cycle is not linear), is it possible?
Cheers!

Depends how you and other apps really use the phone.
I've done idle testing with screen off and no apps, the drain is simply faster at the beginning after charging and later slows down to the point where streaming youtube "eats" less power than idling at 99%. I'm not saying it really does that (because it's impossible), it's just that (I guess) the physical battery discharge curve is like this, but that doesn't really help me at all with estimating how much time I have left.
I may be wrong, but I've tested this twice now (going from 100% to 0%) and it's always faster in the beginning completely regardless of what I'm doing with the phone.
I dont want to **** on the cake but if you care about battery-life you should not use a CM-rom. I used CM-7.2 for 6 months and now switched to a stock-based rom (Spartan). The result is twice the battery-life. CM's battery consumption is horrible especially when the phone is idle. I used to lose 20% during 8h of airplane mode. Now i lose 1-2% without airplane-mode.
Actually, the battery life is just fine for me. I agree, pure CM 7.2.0 drains the battery like there's no tomorrow, but Rage kernel alleviates that by a lot.
The reason I don't use official rom mods is that I like CM a lot, and while battery life could get some more love from the devs it's certainly not that bad, especially with Rage kernel. 30h+ with normal usage, internet, browsing, youtube etc. isn't that bad.
My problem is not that the battery is drained fast, but that the percentage display goes down unevenly regardless of usage. Let's say we compare idle to idle, no airplane mode, no background apps. When the percentage is at 99% it goes down about 5% in an hour (I didn't measure it with a timer, but it's a good estimate), while when the percentage is at 20% it goes down about 1-2% in an hour.
Here s an also weird graph!
Stock Rom .62 rooted.
Check the vertical drops!

No problems.Just weird.

Ok, after deleting battery logs after fully charging the phone (although I don't know whether it was this or something else, maybe it just needed three charges) I got a linear discharge curve. Also, now it turns off at 2%.
BTW battery life on CM 7.2.0 - this time (with LAGLESS governor) it got the phone to 59 hours, which I think is really good enough. Rage kernel FTW. Of course, with LAGLESS and stock rom it'd probably reach over 70. Still, I don't need that much, and CM is great.
-- edit --
After another change (switching to 2G when data transmission isn't needed) the phone eats 0.6% battery per hour. Now I really don't need stock.

[Q] Battery life question

Hello, I recently rooted my phone and installed the omega rom. At first i was really impressed with the battery- it was like 1-2% in 8 hours. It was amazing, but now i have the same as stock(7-9%). I remember when i switched on the alarm clock then it started draining faster. I also installed a custom kernel(Siyah) but i dont think that is the problem. Can anyone help me with what the problem is and how can i get less battery drainage.
Thanks

I switched it on in STweaks, but still the battery drains(It show that the phone is constantly awake for a short period of time). And now there's a new problem with charging- the charging speed is fast until it reaches 50% and then it took 1 and a half hours to charge 20 % and now it's even slower.
Battery life is now like 10% in a day when not using it a lot.(couple calls and little bit of wifi)
I used some guy's power plan and disabled many apps and now i had 1% in 12h

[Xperia U] Li-Ion battery life deteriorates after incident

Hello everyone. First off, I have read this - Things You Should Know About Lithium Ion Battery. Secondly, I know this smartphone has a weaker battery than most, which combined with a dual-core 1ghz CPU makes it drain in about two days on average (I am an entry-level user). However, I've managed to optimize battery life through various options and by staying on factory Android (2.3.7) so now it can last to about four days, so I was very happy. Now more about the 'incident'.
Usually I charge my phone at home on an unused wall socket. But this time I charged it at my friends place on an extension cable which was literally packed with cables and his PC stuff. First thing I noticed is that it took a lot longer to charge my phone. It took nearly two hours to charge my phone from around half capacity to full, while at home this is usually accomplished in 30 minutes.
After this I've noticed that battery life deteriorates much quicker, it now lasts about a day and that's when just idling and not doing anything (!), so I'm back to the state before I managed to prolong battery life and even worse.
So what happened? Did my phone suffer irreversible damage to the battery?
As much as I can tell from a layman point of view, the AC flow on that extension cable felt 'unstable' so maybe it means the battery was charged with 'lower quality' current?
Now every subsequent charge I do at my home improves battery life for the first few hours, but after a point it still deteriorates rapidly and that's while my phone is not even awake. I get the feeling I should let it discharge completely (even though this is not advisable for Li-Ion) and charge it fully from zero to full capacity? Kind of letting the battery format again in normal conditions maybe?
Much appreciated. Luka from Serbia.
Here are the screenshots (cant post full links)

This is how my battery life looks after 22 hours. As you see, most of it was when the phone was not awake.

Even using 2.3.7 that's not normal... your problem it's not from that "episode". It's from the past

Question Realme GT battery life

I'm not really satisfied with battery life of my less than two months old Realme GT 12/256 GB.
What is your average screen on time on this phone?
Mine would be in the 3.5-5 hours range in a day and a half, maybe more if I watch a movie or something.
I'm not playing games and only have Viber, WhatsApp, Facebook... usual stuff.
I didn't see any tanglible difference between "auto" and 60 Hz screen mode regarding battery life.
Also, what percentage of battery drain do you see overnight?
I'm on latest firmware, tried every possible battery saving combination, but always have at least 3% battery drain overnight (usually around 4% in 7-8 hours) and that with radio and all apps off and various battery saving settings applied (global and per app).
I'm starting to believe it's "normal" for this phone and its SD 888 chipset.
Thanks.
Same
I have very similar results as you. Battery life is just ok.
Current battery life:
from 93% to 28% in 1d 19h, SOT: 3h 15min.
Before this I had Poco F3 for a month or so and I don't recall exactly, but it was something like a 1%, 2% max. drain overnight with pretty much the same usage pattern.
Also I have Lenovo tablet with far weaker MTK CPU but not much bigger battery (5000 mAh and 10.3'' screen) and that one almost doesn't use battery in standby mode (beats all phones I had).
I'm currently disabling various apps and testing and I'll post here if I find out something useful.
Optimized standby - Ultra standby makes exactly no difference in my current setup so I turned it off completely.
Quick device connect is also turned off and not in use, as far as I can tell.
