When you send an mms does it automoatically lower the quality of the photo to send it through mms just like all the other galaxy phones besides the nexus
Does gtalk come with video chat? or without it again like the other galaxy phones and can you use the video chat feature over data and not wifi only?
Will this all depend on carrier?

Ok, so I've installed Skype for Windows Mobile, 3.0 Beta.
Is there a way to utilize the Sprint Touch Pro's camera for video calls?
OR
Has anyone figured out a way to attach a USB webcam and use it? Kind of stinks the CDMA Touch Pro only has the one camera.
No Skype doesnt support it, maybe on a tegra cpu in the future
skype does support video chat. The question is better clarified as:
Since Skype supports video chat on its mobile software as per skypes website, and since the CDMA version of the phone only has the back camera, is there a way to utilize the camera on the back of the phone to work with skypes option to video chat?
actually that isnt a bad idea but may not be possible yet since skype already uses alot of batter, cput and memory power
"Since Skype supports video chat on its mobile software as per skypes website"
got a link for that ?
because my x1 got a frontcam and don't support video calls
every test i've seen of even the new skype state it don't
and i can't see it on their site
Just as the title says, does any of the current video chat apps work with the SGSII front facing camera?
Apps like: Fring, Tango, Qik Connect, oovoo ?
Your feedback will be appreciated.
Thanks!
Fring works for me on the test call, just installed to test
Just trying Tango
Dickie
Cant test Tango without contacts to make call, but Qik works after Menu>Switch Cameras on the record option...
I think its safe to assume all is good with the FFC!!
Dickie.
Thanks so much for checking.
VERY curious on Tango as this is the main app i use for video calling but it is good to know that Fring and Qik both work with the FFC
Anything with Skype? I am sure they will be adding the support soon. Hopefully if it doesn't cause any conflicts with their BS exclusivity with Verizon.

How did you get Qik to work properly? It works but my image is upside down..? Also, where did you see option to switch camera in the menu in Qik.?
UPDATE: Found the setting your talking about but its in video share. By changing that, will it display me right side up in the video chat part of Qik?
Hi guys, I'm interested in the GS2. Which video chat apps are confirmed/tested?
I normally use Tango, sometimes Qik, or Fring. I'll appreciate all feedback
Any Galaxy S 2 owners can test this for me?
when I got my SGS2 yesterday, I decided to also test the video chat.
Then I realized I have not a single friend I could call with an Android video phone.
And my iPhone friends do not use third party video chat apps.
Is there any app that would be able to call iPhone Face Time client? Probably no.
fring or tango should work for video calls.
btw, there's no android app to call factime...
I am from Singapore, and my Atrix cannot video call.
What about sets from other part of the world ?
Not through my carrier, but if I use Fring or Tango then I'm able to video call.

I'm in the u.s.. tango, fring, and Qik all work video calling on my Atrix. Qik has a specific version just for the Atrix that works pretty well. All those apps are free. I'm also on at&t by the way also. supposedly yahoo video chat works also but haven't tested that one yet. The first 3, I know works, and pretty well at that.
+1 for Tango.
Tango is the best one out there imho.
Those are all great for phone-to-phone, but unfortunately only Yahoo Messenger works for phone-to-computer chat. I personally dislike Yahoo, but they have a monopoly on this crucial function for the time being.

i use yahoo since everyone else i talk to doesn't have video calling on their phone. it's ok but the others mentioned earlier might be better for calling from phone to phone.
Try the new skype version

This statement is incorrect. Did you read the thread? Does Tango, Fring & Qik not work in your country!? Because here in America: Atrix make video calls!

it's not a videocall - it's app-to-app call with videofunctionality, but the author asked exactly about videocall - it's a 3g operator function. I wish atrix had it, likeall normal devices.
But as far as i know - there is no such function at all for android
video call on Atrix

Hi everyone,
I've had issues with GIFs and videos since flashing Resurrection Remix ROM v5.8.2+ on my Verizon LG G3.
When I send gifs or videos, then the other party receives them just fine and they are animated. However, when I send myself a gif or video or receive them from someone else, then the GIFs arrive as stationary images while videos arrive as stationary images with an additional audio file with the same length of the video.
I thought there might have been an issue with APN settings, but I think those are fine on account of being able to send and receive MMS at all, so frankly I'm baffled as to what could be the cause of this.
I really appreciate any help and thanks in advance!
