Hi all just wondering if anyone else has experienced a sticky patch on their touchscreen? By this I mean a section on the screen which keeps registering a touch. I just did on my ion. Basically the top of the screen kept registering a touch, so that, for example on the xda app the page selection box kept showing. I hadn't turned off the phone for a week so I rebooted it and things seem normal now. Just wondering if I should take it back to the shop for an exchange as I only have a 10 day exchange period. I am Hoping it was just a software glitch

Ok so i left my house for an hour tops my HTC Flyer was on the counter in my kitchen nothing on it under or around it. The screen was off and it wasn't charging. I get home turn it on and this is how my screen looks. What happened!!? I've never gotten it wet I'm the second or third owner Idk got it off a guy on here a few months back but he's legit and it had only the small scratch in a different area then this mark that he told me about. Any ideas??

Others have had this issue. Easily solved with a suction cup and gently pulling up. Search the forums, there's a couple threads on it.

Turned off my Rezound earlier this evening, and when I powered it back on all I get is the white HTC screen. The phone is 100% stock, unmodified, not unlocked. I've booted it with the power plus volume down, but when I select factory restore it just powers down and becomes unresponsive until I pull the battery and start over. Any ideas or am I screwed?

There was someone with this exact issue a day or two ago, or three... I'm too tired to try to find it now... it's probably in the Q&A forum though.
You should probably have posted this in there too.
Try searching white screen or something like that, you should find it.
Thx. The Q&A subform didn't show up in the XDA app, so I figured there wasn't one. I'm looking through it now using the Internet browser.
EDIT: I didn't find anything of use there. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them.

Yeah, they just added the Q&A section a few days ago so you might have to clear data/cache from the XDA app to get it to show up. I had to do that with Tapatalk.
I apologize in advance if this question is in the wrong place.
I am on Deck's 11-24 build from IRC and hoping that it fixes the problem I've been having.
Sometimes my phone will go crazy and the screen will start reacting as though some phantom is using it. The screens pan around, random apps will open, random buttons will be pressed, etc. Usually, I have to shut the scree off and wait a few seconds for it to go back to normal. If it isn't that happening, sometimes the screen becomes completely unresponsive.
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing similar issues.

Have flashed (using Flash Image GUI) the kernel for TD 11-24 build

Like on the xda app trying to scroll down throught the thread and it starts selecting things also I've noticed like wired apps turning on and off .also the flashlight got stuck the other day rebooted the phone and still nothing flash light stayed on even through recoverey had to hard boot .and it went away . I've also noticed if u like watch some thing for a while . And the display stays on for a while the screen makes the phone get really hot .the the screen becomes unresponsive .....keyboard phantom typing etc.can any one else confirm

Dingdingding. Already got one replaced a few months ago but this one is showing symptoms now too. Easy way to know it is happening is to enable show touches in developer options.

I was wondering if anyone had noticed this... The last two days I've noticed that my screen's color looks "washed out" is the best way to describe it, faded I guess. I run stock un rooted, and generally don't notice it until I text as my launcher theme is black n white with black and blue background. The when I go into settings and try to change screen mode, say standard to movie, or any of the four choices, there's no difference or change. The only way to fix it is a restart. Is this a firmware issue of just a problem with my phone? Had it about a month now... Anyone else notice something like this happening?

Is it your autp brightness or theres a setting under display called auto adjust screen tone. Maybe thats the problem.

No, my brightness is always cranked no auto, thanks to our missive batteries. I also do not use power saving mode. I checked through all the settings that would have anything to do with it and I can't make sense of it. It seems to be happening later in the day when I'm getting off work, I'm going to keep an eye out tonight to see if it happens again and since no one else is saying anything about it I might have to just take it to VZW, and see what they say about it...

Hi there don't know off any one fixed this issue yet but last night I installed a new digitizer in the 4g as this issue presented itself it is a pain tbh I have been usin the phone for a while it has a custom rom on olypus I think not sire atm. But this is the issue.
About a 1cm bar the leamth of the screen ant sujestions please folks

I just got tha same problem today and i saw your topic just before posting a new one.
I got the problem using the MROM-ICS (of course i dont blame the developer or the rom for that). Basically i had a lot of problems with the rom and my old (gingerbread) data and apps so i has flashing the rom/gapps and restore all the time witch turned me mad... then i just pressed the screen a little harder (really little) when pluging in the charger. I saw he screen doing this weird color when you press it (like the pc monitor does) so i think that this is my fault.
So if i understood right you had the problem before and after digitizer change ? Sorry but i am not sure of what i read here
PS: I tried pds fix but with no luck.
The digitizer is not good /doa. You'll probably need another new one. Happened to me times.

Mine had the same problem same place but it's spread to the centre as well now
I think it's with the stupid flex cables and something to do with the faulty design of fingerprint scanner position
No one has permanent solution for this but for temporary purpose you can insert a piece of credit card inbetween the battery top location and check
