Got to play with a ONE XL last night - HTC Rezound

It was amazing. Screen size was just right. 45% battery was 1:45 screen time on LTE. Comparatively, the rezound sucks. It is so thin and light. I can't believe how good it is. Makes me hate the Rezound now.

really? i played with my friends htc one s on tmobile and it made me love the rezound even more. My sense 4.0 was just as smooth as his stock sense 4.0. Verizon 4G keeps 4G inside for me all the time and his dropped to 2G and was slow. Everything it can do rezound can do with exception of shoot video and take photo at same time but everything else is the same. Rezound was just as fast too. And the weight difference is a little bit but you cant remove your battery on the one s so that isnt a good thing for me. I was very impressed by rezound vs a brand new device

We have bright screens.

The One X is way better than the One S. It made me hate my Rezound lol. That great battery life on LTE with the screen on was amazing. Their screen was so much more vibrant to be honest.

I can see the screen difference. Its a better screen. But I love being able to swap batteries. Until htc makes a device like the razr maxx, just can't have nonremovable.
Though, come this winter if verizon gets a killer wp8 device with lte, might jump back over there.

It's not that much better than the rezound to make me want to switch. I'm fine with the rezound for now.

I've played with whichever One that AT&T has (my mother got it and has no idea how to use it) and I think it's way too thin and I didn't like how you can't change the battery and how the flash works. If the XL has a battery and a removable flash like the rezound, it might be better. It was too big and thin for me, I thought id break it easily.

Lighter does not equal better. I like weight because it means better build quality (in most cases.). Not having a changeable battery is another downside.

No offense, but in 6 months, there will just be another phone that blows the doors off the One X. 6 months ago, that best phone was arguably the Rezound. The point is, there will always be another better device right around the corner, waiting for your envy to get the better of you so it can steal your money. I am not saying I don't agree with your assessment of that device... it is an extremely nice phone. But, it did not in any way make me think my Rezound sucks.

For now, rezound is ok, not the best but still great.
After I flashed your ConRom V4, everything works well.
The only bad thing on rezound for me is the thickness and heavy.
Other than that, rezound is still best for me.
GS3 looks awesome, sometimes wanna switch to it, but screen on rezound is better than GS3's pentile.
I might switch my rezound to other phone when next generation of S4 comes out.
Oh, I might say Thank you Con for your flawless rom, since I cannot leave reply on dev section

I like the heft of the Rezound too, just some psychological trick though. The physicist in me just screamed out that more mass means more energy...the phone gets jolted all the harder during a drop because of it.
Extra weight is generally bad and is just stored potential to mess your tech up, I wish mainstream reviews would explain that scientific point when it comes to devices: weight is a detriment to overall build quality, not a benefit at all.
That said, the Rezound is a tank lol, I've dropped without cases and it survived many a time. Screen cracked only on a direct fall, pancake style.

dude you know what's hilarious? i had two girls in yesterday who were like, "wah i hate the razr because it's so thin and small..my friend has one, she drops it all the time and it breaks every time."
so a million things wrong with that, but then i'm like, she really thinks that because it's THINNER means it'll break easier? are people dumb? lol
but yeah, the rezound always had a nice feel in the hand, hence why i bought it over the razr

I thought the samsung felt cheap... I like the weight of the amaze. Feels like a solid product
Based on build quality, amaze. Samsung makes plastic toys, HTC makes quality phones.

I agree that HTC has very good design quality, but keep in mind that the premium build design comes with a cost. Heavy feeling device that not everybody finds comforting to hold and what feels like slight overheating because of the metals used in the design. Every device heats up with use, but because of HTC's choice of materials you feel it more than other devices such as Samsung etc.
With that being said, I do wish Samsung would step up a little bit more as far as design is concerned. Maybe using 95%
plastic with a few aluminum pieces to add a little more character. The Nexus S might be Samsung's worst looking device IMO but I loved it because of how light and easy it was to hold for long periods of time.

I actually did all the research etc too like everyone else, I bought the Amaze on the first day, 2 days ago I returned it and got the SGS2 (blasphemy) and yesterday returned it to get an Amaze again... end of story
SGS was nice, some cool software features, but HTC sense just well makes sense (does everything and minimal need if any for 3rd party widgets or any real need for a 3rd party launcher). Camera compared to the Amaze's camera was sh!t. Kies Air was cool though wish HTC did something like that. battery life was fantastic on the SGS2 though. The Amaze feels just soo much better in hand...
edit: dialer/etc on SGS2 looks generic compared to the polish of all the HTC software.

I understand your point, but I keep/collect phones as a hobby--nary once have I kept a cheap Sammy device. I'd take heavy and solid over plastic and cheap. I bet Sammy only spends $40/phone to manufacture (if even that).
*Keep in mind, that is US adjusted price, not eastern-labor prices.

I need an oven glove to use my Samsung Epic Touch, the phone gets hot to the point that I can smell the heat. This happens sporadically but especially when viewing videos.
I got some hands on the with SGSII last night. My wife's friend bought one from Sprint yesterday. It was a quick phone. I am on my first Android device and since I have the Amaze all I really know is Sense. I found it easy to use and customize but it just felt cheap to me. She loved the fact it was light. For me though it felt like a good firm grip would crack something. I am sure it wouldn't but it just felt fragile. Performance wise it was about like the Amaze. I say total toss up / opinion between the two. I love the Amaze it gets my vote.
Oh and I have had no heat issues as all with my Amaze. My iPhone got warmer...
I had a Samsung Vibrant and hated the GPS on that phone. The SGS2 felt like a Vibrant on steroids. Touchwiz is also kinda boring. The HTC Amaze is awesome! Great build quality and Sense UI is beautiful. Amaze also has higher resolution. Go with the Amaze.

For me battery is important..can you tell me the difference you felt? I don't believe I will be able to go for the SGS2...it is just too wide for me and very difficult to fit it in the pocket..but the battery on the Amaze needs 3rd party softwares to arrive at the end of the day.
I always have Bluetooth on, WiFi or 4g, and sync 2 emails every 15min, Twitter update every 30min.
With normal use for me- txt, phone calls, email, checking twitter, random use of netflix, and checking xda.. I usually jump on a charger in about
6-7hrs at 40-50% maybe. Sgs2 will just about almost double that length of time... Right now I'm at 45% after 6hrs.....

The higher screen resolution is what sold me on the Amaze. The Galaxy S2 has a larger screen but a lower resolution. To me, it looked crappie next to the Amaze.

?? - The Galaxy SII for T-Mobile is a dual core clocked at 1.5 gHz.
You know what is really lame? I went to the T-mobile store and since they redesigned the place with laminate flooring and lots of space so it looks more chic they also removed every single working phone available. There was nothing but cases and accessories hanging on the walls and the only two "dummy" phones for the SGS2 and Amaze were hanging out near the entrance. There was literally no other phones, and definitely no real ones besides shells of phones. The T-mobile version of the SGS2 is much better than the ATT SGS2 and Infuse because the black is completely different with a much nicer material and is actually ergonmic since it isn't flat with a sudden hump, but instead tapers with the hump and has some thickness/ergonomics. I could not really tell if the Amaze was a premium handset or not because I could barely hold it with the giant black chastity belt. The black plastic felt nice, but I could barely tell if was metal. Since it was a dummy phone the weight was also all wrong. Well I'll be playing crapsunless I can find a way to get to the Best Buy out of town.
I went with the Amaze simply because I got burnt so bad with the vibrant. Samsung never addressed the faulty GPS and the the all plastic frame just feels cheap. I also used both at the T-mobile store and they are both very nice but the amaze is just elegant. Go with the amaze you won't be disappointed!

May switch from nexus...have some questions

Hey guys, so I waited forever for my nexus and now that I have it...its somewhat disappointing. Bad signal, things close randomly, and it also has cheap build quality.
Honestly, how do you guys like your rezounds? How's the battery on those things? How's the build quality?
My entire android experience to this point has been with HTC (Inc and Inc 2) and I wanted something new, but I may come back.
Appreciate all the replies. Thanks.

I, personally, love this phone. The build quality is very solid and doesn't feel like a cheap piece of plastic in your hand. I get great signal from it. Phone calls are clear and don't drop. I also rarely lose 4g unless I'm just in a horrible area. Plus, the GPS on this phone is absolutely amazing.
The battery life could be better stock, but you can't really expect much with such a big and bright screen. I was getting around 6 hours of heavy use out of it until I tried this little trick by nosympathy. Now I'm getting a strong 12-15 hours with fairly heavy use. I'm more than happy with everything about this phone. We don't have S-Off or perm root right now, but I could really care less. Just stock this thing whips the hell out of any phone I've ever touched. When we do get the update to ICS and Sense 4.0 (probably early next year according to HTC), this thing will be even better. I love this phone and will probably never touch anything but HTC in the future. I would suggest going to Verizon and playing around with one. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all. Good luck!
Edit: Also, with any phone I've had before (mostly Motorola or LG), I've been dying for root right away to make the phone better. This one doesn't need root to be amazing. It just is straight from the box.
I've tried numerous phones and carriers. Most recently I had the Bionic and the RAZR. I would say this phone is the best I've had in the last year or so. After going through 3 RAZRs due to screen problems, random rebooting and reception issues, the first Rezound I got is just perfect. The screen is much clearer, 4G radio is consistently 5-10 Mbps higher than the RAZR/Bionic were. I will stick with this phone for sure.
Awesome replies so far, thanks guys. So there's no creaking around the back or sides of the phone when you press them? That was a problem on both generations of my Incredible

form factor alone, the rezound kills the nexus. that things feels so damn cheap its disgusting. as for battery, you'll get a standard work day. the highest i've gotten so far was 17 hours. not bad!

Solid, great display, good battery, stupid fast, Sense 3.5!
Rezound is probably the best 4G phone you can get on Verizon now. The Hardware is high end, I'm sure once we get s-off or once ICS hits oh baby.
Edit: no creaks.
Agreed. Absolutely in love with this phone. Usually I get a phone and say I like it except for a few things. The only thing missing for me is s-off, and its so good I'm not even that upset

I just came back from the Nexus. The battery life was horrible, the reception was about 30db less, no simultaneous 3G voice and data, and the screen wasn't that impressive.
I am happy to be back, I really like this device.

Creaking is very slight. Some rebounds have over heating issues, so be aware that you may have to exchange for one that doesn't.
However I love my rezound, does everything I want and one of the best things is simultaneous voice/data. Came from tmobile and so glad I get to keep that feature.

I have been considering the nexus (I haven't looked at it yet) but after reading the tremendous amount of issues and people trying to defend things that should not be acceptable, I'll probably stick with my rezound which is perfect accept I don't have root and an MIUI rom option yet... But other than that, pretty much have 0 issues with it hardware wise, and I do like sense 3.5, but MIUI is more my style I think.
It seems that there are too many issues on top of compromises by switching to the Nexus :-\ the only reason I kind of want it is for the constant updates and Google support, but that's not worth sacrificing everything else for IMO, even if we don't get root, ill probably still be happier with this one

Thanks for the call out. Glad my guide helped you out.
I can make the sides crash I'd I squeeze it hard, but mine doesn't with normal use. I think that happens after you pop the back off a bunch, the clips, which are plastic, start to stretch.

I see I'm not the only one thinking of trading in their Nexus for a Rezound. I'm coming from the Incredible.
Incredible has better reception, faster 3G speed, louder speakers (ear and rear). Also people said the DInc had poor battery life, mine last 2 days on a charge. I'm sure I can get the Rezound to last atleast day.
I'm still not fully liking the on-screen buttons. The menu button, depending on the app, is sometimes at the bottom, sometimes at the top, and some others have reported no where at all. They also reduce the resolution on most apps to 720x1184. Only a few apps (anything by google) can shrink or hide the buttons for full screen.
Phone connects to USB via MTP instead of Mass Storage Device, due to lack of sdcard.
Still images aren't bad at all, but doesn't seem to deal with motion all that well.
The reason I chose the GNex was for the amoled screen, but I might settle with slcd for an overall better phone.
Considering how most amoled screens over saturate and enrich colors to the point where they aren't accurate, and have banding issues, they are pretty, but too many issues come with it... SLCD is better lol as it does none of this, it only has a minimal wash for blacks that u can see visually, but its so minor, its not as much of an issue as seeing glare from the glass (like reflection glare that every smooth surface has...)
Edit: I went and checked one out in the store today and while ICS is cool and all, too many cons to the phone, screen problems, home buttons were weird when typing, signal wasn't as good as the two beside it (rezound and razr) even in the store, and it had more hiccups than the rezound on bloated sense. The front cam was noticeably worse, and the rear cam was fine but the rezound took better pictures... The back plate was also jacked up but I'm sure its because of the sensor things on them, though the rezound had the same thingy on it and its plate wasn't warped and bent.
Anyway, glad I got it out of my system now, I much prefer this phone, I just wish it got the same support as the Nexus. Though root will come ...

I actually love the AMOLED screen on my Incredible, however I'm a little let down with the AMOLED on the GNex.

HTC Rezound, or Motorola Droid Razr MAXX?

I'm ready to upgrade to a new phone, considering my Xperia Play is becoming more useless as the days go by. I just have a few questions about both phones. Watching videos is helping but I just can't decide.
-Although the Razr has a Super AMOLED display, would you say the Rezound's display is better because of the higher resolution (despite it being LCD)?
-Which Phone has the better reception. I live on the beach and have a hard time getting reception. I normally get 1-2 bars and no 3G. Also, which one has the better talk quality?
-Which is better, Motoblur or HTC Sense? Before my Xperia Play I had the Droid Eris (which sucked) but I did like Sense. To be honest, my favorite is just Stock Android.
-Even though the Rezound has a faster processor, which one runs the best? While this isn't necessary, it would be nice to know.
-My last question is the battery life. Now, it's clearly obvious that the MAXX wins in battery life. But I've heard that you can get an extended battery when you order the Rezound. Does the extended battery do the Rezound any justice, or is it not much of a change?
The reason why I ask these questions is because I have heard TOO MANY good things about both phones, and it's giving me a very difficult time. I know I posted this in the Rezound forums, but I hope I can get plenty of opinions and answers.
Thank You.
Can't speak to how the maxx performs. However, I absolutely love my Rezound. I have the extended battery and can get 10 hours of heavy use with a overclocking kernel and sense 4.0. No reboots or crashing. If I lightly use I can get 2 days on a single charge. I'm using the HTC extended battery. I tested the maxx screen side by side with the Rezound in the store and the Rezound wins hands down. Higher ppi and more realistic colors.
Hope this helps.

Motorblur sucks Donkey balls

Rezounds extended seem to do it justice for a some and not for some

I agree 100%.
My son has a Maxx as all he cares about is battery life, but the screen totally sucks on it. I compared that & my Rezound side by side with a blueray rip & the Rezound wins hands down.
I use the extended battery also & it easily gets me thru a day of audio streaming etc.
I forgot to ask, which camera is better? And thanks for the replys so far everybody! While I don't need a long-lasting battery like in the MAXX, it would be nice because the Xperia Play's battery honestly sucks.
Rezound camera is da-bomb.
Especially if you flash one of those no-compression camera mods.
Focuses rediculously close and takes extremely large resolution pics.
I would say the Rezound is superior in every single way, except for the battery. Unfortunately, that except is a pretty big except.
Just get both. That way you no longer have to think about it or make any decisions!

Haha, I don't think I can afford that :/ But it's a nice thought.
Blur sucks, but easier to get rid of and less intrusive. That said the screen on the razt is garbage. I have not seen a better screen than rezound. Performance is awesome. Biggest regret is I doubt we'll ever get real aosp.
More serious answer:
I much prefer the look and feel of the Rezound over the RAZR, and I HATE pentile matrix displays. Boo on the RAZR, Rezound all the way!
If you are fine with getting the extended battery, get the rezound. I am an above average user and I have 30% battery after 14 hours off the charger. That means I safely make it through a full day.
I couldnt see needing more than that, so why not get the better device? That was my.thought.
Do your research on the razr display. Pentile is a step backwards in technology.
Rezound, s-off, loving it.
Rezound. Not just because I have one. The RAZR doesn't have better equipment

The razr is just about better in everything but camera, screen, and the boot loader. The soc and the battery are vastly superior.

i got a razr maxx and sent in back in 3 days
1st thing the speaker was to quite and crackled when turned up and when put on vibrate you couldnt even feel it thats two downers
next the screen was absolutely horrid it was fuzzy and to dark and i think my thunderbolt had a better picture
next motoblur was also junk you have to go 5 places to get somewhere when on sense you click and its there
So i decided to root and see if you could do any better which wasnt no big deal but somehow i locked it up and had to do a battery pull and omg that took me like two hours cause your not suppose to pull batteries on that model plus the bootloader is locked and you cant just upgrade and downgrade so easily like the rezound

Any difference in benchmarks is probably attributable to the difference in screen res.
I had the RAZR and rezound. I honestly like how thin the razr is, and it's a quick phone. Camera is decent, as is the battery. If you like stock Android, the ics leaks on the RAZR are pretty close to aosp. Both are great phones, rezound has a battery camera, that's the only thing better then the RAZR. But it's your preference.
ICS Rezound.
I ended up ordering the Rezound with the extended battery. It sounds like the quality of the Rezound is better than the Razr. To be honest, I like having a bulky phone. The thin ones (like the razr) feel very strange in my hand. Plus, the rezound comes with some Beats. I haven't had quality earbuds in a while .
Thanks for helping me decide guys! Although I will miss gaming on my Play, I have the 3DS and Vita anyway .
I don't think the Razr's screen is as bad as everyone says it is personally.

EVO 4G LTE Impressions

Hey guys.
Some of you may know me from the Evo 3D section. Recently, my 3D's touchscreen started to fail on me (a known quality-control issue) and I evaluated my options on repairing it and came to the conclusion a new phone is a better investment.
I've been researching the living crap out of the Galaxy Nexus and the 4G LTE (The GS3 is waaaay outside my price point). It seems more and more likely that the 4G LTE is simply a better phone.
So now, this thread. Before I pull the trigger, I want the scoop on this phone from the only users I trust; XDA users. Tell me what you love about this phone, what you hate, what to watch out for, whether or not you regret it, anything. As much detail as possible, please
This phone will genuinely have to last me two years (buying it off contract). I need to know that I can count on this in the same way I was able to count on my HTC Hero (which I feel was more dependable than the Evo 3D).
Thanks guys. I look forward to possibly joining you in this forum in the future.
What's up man?! Go ahead and pull the trigger is what I say. I didn't consider it that huge of an upgrade personally but I figured id try it out for 14 days and return then try the GS3 then make my decision. I ended up keeping it and deciding to do so very quickly.Lol. Very 1st thing that got me was the thinness and how great it felt holding.....it felt really nice....and the screen is ike candy for your eyes. My experience with sense 4 and the speed made me question the need to root (blasphemy I know) but I did anyway. I love the camera software and the phone charges fast and really last....the sleeping is incredible. I live everything about it except the shiney black top....other than that in my opion its the best Evo ever and top phone now.

After my first experience with the EVO 3D (3 lemons in under a month), I thought I'd never own an HTC phone again. I went as far as saying I'd never piss on an HTC phone if it was on fire. This phone is making me eat those words. I don't even know why I gave them another chance but I'm glad I did. I wanted a great screen, fast processor, and a relatively "future proofed" phone and this totally fit the bill. It was between this and the Gnex but with the connectivity problems, notoriously weak antennae and glacial charging I rolled the dice on the EVO.
I'm really digging the snappiness overall, running Nova launcher and MeanICS 0.5 ROM. The screen is gorgeous, especially coming from a Photon, and the camera is just about neck and neck with my 4S (work phone). I've been shooting with it for about a week and love love love the pictures it takes.
The only thing I don't like is the car dock has a really finicky usb connector and no sound comes through said connector making it a real bummer when I want to use the phone as an aux music source.
With ROM floodgates starting to open, I heartily endorse this phone to anyone who is in the market. Even stock with Nova launcher works really well, I'm not a fan of Sense but I will admit it was way better than what came stock in the Evo 3D.
Omg we need a Liquid Rom in here! I haven't ran something from you since the HREO CDMA days! Your Sense Rom was the best!

I sold my preordered Evo for a pretty penny and bought a Galaxy Nexus for dirt cheap. While the Nexus was good, the battery made it just OK. It just wouldn't last. The screen was nice but put it next to the Evo and nice becomes wtf. The Evo comes with a microSD slot for my 64GB card (huge plus). The battery in the Evo lasts a whole day a whole night and in to the next afternoon. With heavy use, I mean playing with it constantly from games to web to calls it easily can last 12-15 hours. That right there sold me. I had the option for the GS3 as well. I was really thinking I would switch, considering I had the Epic and the Epic Touch. I.couldn't bring.myself.to return it. Too GREAT of a phone. Plus the kickstand is great. I watch a lot of Netflix while waiting for freight. There isn't a single con and a long list of pros. BUY IT!

Ah, someone who understands the build quality woes of the Evo 3D. In the short year I've owned it, the screen plate near the cap buttons has "sunk" down into the shell, the battery cover has become lose, the outer 'lining' is coming off, and the power button and volume buttons are almost hilariously mushy (never know if they're working).
I'm sorely searching for the build quality of HTC that I used to know, from the days of the Hero all the way back to the original Titan and Apache (those things were amazing). It seems you feel that they've recaptured this "Evo" namesake.

How's the screen at repelling fingerprints? I know that it's supposed to come with an oleo-phobic coating, but do you think it would be worth getting a screen protector?
Great phone; buy it! :good:
What's up liquid I think you should go ahead and get it there's nothing better at this point and to build quality is nothing like the evo 3d. My only issue is the lack of multitasking it reloads tabs almost..but I've heard that has been fixed on the hox...great device..makes the 3d look like a fat pig

I just figure the time is right to make the jump since as of now there's no downgrade for the FW, no official ICS release, and WiMax is dead. Base on this thread, I'm in!

Also coming from the 3D, I decided to pull the trigger on this phone earlier this month.
Personal pros: Size, feel, battery life
Cons: Wifi/3G dropout, multitasking (primarily Sense reload)
I rooted immediately, switched to Apex Launcher, and tested a few custom ROMS.
Temp bricked it yesterday w/ the S-OFF method, and returned it to BB to swap out in hopes that it would fix the Wifi/3G dropouts. Wifi seems to be better, 3G dropouts still exist, so I'd imagine it'll be a radio/firmware fix in the future. I'd also imagine the aggressive and clumsy multitasking will also be resolved when source is released from HTC and we can get some custom kernels.
SG3 is released for the public on 7/1 @ BB, so I'll go back to play around w/ it a little bit before my 30 day window of opp. is closed. All in all, I'm leaning towards keeping the LTEvo due to the development community and overall feel of the phone.
Lastly, I was going to go right back and root after getting phone #2, but simply installing Apex over stock everything hasn't been bad. I think until source is released, I can deal with holding off on root. The apps I rely on work w/o root, FoxFi works w/o root (even though pointless w/ slow 3G data, but hey..), and honestly, until we can start overclocking, undervolting, etc., the only true benefit w/ root access is being able to F w/ the build.prop for GW purposes, density, and whatever. Not enough of a factor IMO to root just yet, though the ROMS available right now are promising!
Verdict: Go for the LTEvo. Enjoyed your work during the Hero days as well!
For the screen, the fingerprints have been less of an issue than my tbolt, but they are still there. I thought the screen really was "scratch proof" until I had it in a bag with my keys and I saw a little scratch right in the effing MIDDLE of the screen! Needless to say, I ordered a matte screen protector and will see if it kills the awesome-ness of how the screen looks and displays.
I honestly cannot agree more with what has already been said about this awesome phone. After coming from my tbolt with a rezound battery (i still use it to this day) and it's crappy battery life to this phone has totally restored my confidence in using smartphones. Instead of thinking "if i play this emulator or watch this video, I'll have to charge it again", I say "I will play this emulator or watch this video and not care because the battery WILL last". I know I sound crazy here, but the battery really is that good. In fact, it's that reason that I haven't rooted and put on a custom ROM because I'm afraid something will happen.
Performance wise, it is just plain sick. It runs the PSXEmulator tons smoother than my TBolt and sense is just awesome. I would consider rooting just for the dual-core mod where the second cpu is always running except for when the screen is off, but again, bye-bye insane battery life (please correct me if I'm wrong).
Physical feel of phone is sweet; the thinness is good and the material is nice; except for that bloody top back shiny cover that drives us OCD guys nuts with fingerprints :O But I did order a case because I'm afraid if I drop it, it will go bye-bye.
I researched heavily this phone and the galaxy nexus and from what I could tell, the nexus didn't have the same power as this phone and because of that, people complained that it ran slower than it should. Also the battery was only so-so.
I have yet to look back and do not regret the money I spent

I read that this was due to aggressive minfree values to keep Sense running smooth. Custom ROMs have already tweaked it, but I actually see this as a plus. I've always used extremely (read: ludicrous) aggressive minfree and OOM values, because I damn near never multitask, I only ever do one thing at a time.

Switched to a GS3, Miss my Rezound!

I had a rezound unil the screen shattered. I attempted repairing it, and I was almost done but ruined my LCD. I was up for an upgrade so I just went to the GS3 (Black, which looks very nice might I add). BUT. I prefer the rezound more. HTC had such a great feel to it. Samsung GPS sucks! I feel like the Rezound was built with more solidity and care.

I bet your S3 battery life dwarfs the Rezound's.
I now own a GS3 and it is light years ahead of the Rezound in most aspects (battery life, features, responsiveness, thinness, etc), except for the screen. Side by side, the Rezound screen is leaps ahead, the GS3 has a slight blue tinge to it and isn't as crisp.
Btw my GPS was/is great on both devices.
I am sure you can see the pixels, but you get to look at them for much longer than we do with our gorgeous screen, and horrid battery life.

What's the average battery life of a gs3? Screen on time especially...
I definitely agree with the screen. I like the brightness and saturation of the AMOLED more, but the crispness and clarity is nowhere near the rezound. As for battery life, on standby (4g on but phone sleeping) my battery will last forever. Like... 16 hours with 5% drop. As for screen on, I've been averaging around 4-4.5 hours screen on. Overall, I've been very satisfied and if you're upgrading a device on a budget, I'd definitely go with the GSIII. For the $99 that I payed for it I have absolutely no regrets.

I do notice a resolution difference. I loves the clarity of the rezound. Battery life isn't all to great. But it is okay. I had an extended battery on the rezound. Loved it so much.
