Hi
I installed CM9 by jokersax all is well but suddenly the back light of 4 buttons has stopped working.
When I installed the rom it was but now its not. The buttons function fine only their back light is not working.
Any setting I might have changed which I am not aware of I think please help to fix.
Thanks.

I believe it happens to a lot of people for no apparent reason. Someone chime in if I'm wrong..

Toggle auto brightness and your backlight will come back until you reboot

In my experience the problems occures again shortly after toggling autobrightness. Sometimes it even makes them flicker off and on every few seconds.

Streaming as in Netflix or what? Check brightness settings, make sure it is turned up and autobrightness is not on.
No in general lit dims itself
Then the brightness wont work without voodoo

Streaming what exactly? And try reflashing rom, kernel, etc... kinda hard to understand your problem. You could be streaming a lot of different things.

I don't have this issue but I do have another bug that isn't mentioned anywhere and it's the vibration not working (haptic feedback) on the menu and back buttons. Do you have the same?

I've had my rezound for over a year now and have never noticed this before until now. If my phone is asleep with the screen off, I can swipe my finger across the soft keys and they turn on. Even more, if I swipe a few times, the screen turns on as well. This causes the screen to turn on when I don't want it to very often. Is this an intended feature? I find it very annoying. I'm running stock ICS with the newest version of funky kernel.

Thats what sweep2wake is. Also, if you start at search and sweep left to home it will relock. It's a very experimental feature that I am not too particularly fond of but wanted to give everyone the option to run it.
1st question for you; what rom were/are you running?
2nd question; which option did you take at time of installation of my kernel?
Ah ha. I'm on stock ics. I left things the way they were when I installed the kernel, so I'm guessing it's on by default?

Yup. Working on fixing that though. Use kernel tuner> Misc tweaks to disable/enable it.

You're welcome. Should be corrected in v2.7. I now s2w to default to disabled, one if you want to enable it again either flash my scripts installer or enable with kernel tuner.

Hello, I was wondering if there was anyway of turning off or dimming the soft key lights. I have a tried an app called night time and its supposed to turn the lights off, but it doesn't. I am currently running REDD and Terra silent.

I was running cm10 on my s3 and one of my favorite features was quiet hours which allowed me to turn off the notification light during select times.
I rooted my s4 and was wondering if there were any apps that people might know of to give me the same control.
Thanks.

I use Lightflow to control the notification LED. It has that ability.

I'll give it a shot. I've never been able to get light flow to work on any of my phones though.

I find Lightflow buggy. Try Light Manager. It has a sleep option.

OK I've tries both apps and neither work. As soon as I install them all notification lights stop working.
I have tried all types of tests and cannot figure out what the issue is.

Light flow definitely works, I'm using it on my phone. Did you make sure to enable the app in accessibility?

Did you go into light flow and setup the colors you want for the programs you want to show the led?
I just deleted all of the light flow components and installed light manager. Looks like that is working, fingers crossed!!
