Hello
I installed cm9 on my Siii, but it have a problem with the keyboard, it crashes when the letter "i" and "æ" is used.
I had the same problem with my old phone,- optimus 2x with cm9
So it must be a problem with cm9
If i use a none nordic keyboard, there is no problem, but i want the nordic letters
Anyone have a fix for it?

I have the same problem on my Nexus S, but i thought it was a screen problem.
What i have done as a workaround is to use the stock us keyboard then to get ÆØÅ then just press and hold A and to select Æ and Å and O to select Ø
It is just a workaround, and it will make typing slowere but it will work... else have you tested Scandinavian Keyboard in the marked. I havent done any test because i have gotten used to it but if the problem is with android keyboard in CM9 i will have to find a other solution when i pick up my SGS3 here monday...
I have not tried with skandinavien keyboard yet. I will try when i come home on my galaxy tab 10.1, it have the same problem with the keyboard it on cm9 also.
Thanks

It works with the skandinavien keyboard, from google play.
But i like the cm9 keyboard better, but thanks.
Somebody knows how to fix the cm9 keyboard?
I think we might have to find a way to report the bug as it is in more then just one cm9 build... I can give AOKP a spin here in the weekend to see if they have the same problem with the keyboard... And i can also trow stock ICS on my NS to see if it is all the way from there... But that wont be before monday when i pickup my SGS3...

Definately - use the HTC one!
If you don't like the standard keyboard, try SlideIT. Works very well!

X2 totally agree
i practiced with the swype keyboard on my x1 because i know i was gonna get the x10.
i thought since the screen was smaller on the x1 if i could use it then i would be a breeze on the x10. i was totally right.
it is by far the best keyboard.
plus when ppl see you use it they are amazed. ive impressed a few of my friends with it already
I make use of the "Thick Buttons" Keyboard from android market. I like the letter prediction.
Swype is by far and away the best keyboard on any device.
It works tremendously well with the X10 to the point that I can type emails faster than people on full qwerty (HW/SW) or T9.
Hoping it comes out for full release soon.
swipe is great. but if you like to type or can't find the swipe ask the HTC_ime keyboard is great.

Swype is the only thing that can shut an iPhone fanboy up causing heavy jaw dropping. I witnessed it a few time already, and I can tell you - it feels good
Another vote for Swype, I have been using it for 2 weeks now and love it, anyone have a newer version i'm using version 1.25.16.5612
Swype is the fastest way to type on any smartphone

i Was Wondering If You Could Help Me?
When i Turn Swype To The Side It Says:
The Swype package you have installed does not match the screen sixe of the device. Please contact Swype about this issue.
Screen size:854x480
Anyone Have a Fix?
Hi all,
does anyone else NOT like the stock keyboard? I own the 2010 X10 Mini and the stock keyboard is brilliant...you CANNOT make mistakes ... it just works.
My problem is the stock keyboard on the Xperia Mini is way too sensitive. There is a thread on sensitive keys, but I just read they are talking about the BACK and MENU keys not the text buttons.
Has anyone tried alternative keyboards on our Mini that they recommend? p.s. I like SE's non-qwerty keyboard, T9 etc. I quite like that.
Try SwiftKey X, find on Google Play, is awesome!

Hi,
Guys i have the XWLA4 stock rom and the swype that came with it lags to the extreme :/ I was thinking about overwriting it with the one from swype.com so was wondering about the difference between them? Any advantage of stock swype over the one from swype.com?
Swype from site is better. For me it is much more responsive and smoother. Maybe it's because of CM9, i switched both keyboard and Rom at the same time. But anyway from site you get the latest version.

What I experienced from stock was reliability.but yes lag was there.it wasn't responsive enough.and when I installed custom ICS on my s2 I downloaded Swype from the website.and I've found it better but the lag is still there.no much change :-(

Thanks...so no other reason to not switch..i guess will update to the new swype and share my experience here
Ok update to the latest from the website ( uninstalled the stock using Titanium <- You gotta love that software)..anyhow after the update there is no lag at all ...before for e.g. when i was in clock app setting alarm, after i click on the timer counter to change the value the swype keyboard (stock) appeared in no time but as soon as i press anytime it will get stuck for two or maybe sec and then register with beeps and the value will change but with the new one (from swype.com) no lag there, no lag in writing sms so quite happy !!! IMO every1 should upgrade!!!!
Hi! I hate Samsung keyboard, so I'm searching for the latest ICS keyboard or Jelly Bean keyboard.

Hi,
I'm running the Hasa MIUI 2.9.7 rom on my sk17i with locked bootloader. Really like the rom, no real issues found.
Except that I can't change the hardware keyboard layout of my mini pro.
It's a Belgian Mini Pro, so with azerty, but when I change /system/usr/keyboard-config/keyprint.xml and reboot, it just stays qwerty.
Can someone help me out?
Do you have the azerty.xml in the layouts folder?
I did it the other way around on stock (I'm used to qwerty) and it worked perfectly.

I have it, but indeed, perhaps it's a faulty one.
I'll replace it with an older version.
EDIT: replaced azerty one, even replaced qwerty-en.xml and qwerty-jp.xml by an azerty config, but to no avail???
I have the fix guys....dont worry...waiting for someone's permission to post it.asap
